“Lorianne was absolutely incredible with our pets! Our dog is very timid and wary of strangers, but he absolutely loved her! She sent pictures and updates regularly, and we felt very safe with her :)”

“Samantha did a fantastic job with our dogs. Took them a couple days to warm up but became fast buddies. Thanks Samantha for holding down the fort. We'll be contacting you soon for another sitting job”

About: I am recently retired from a successful career in corporate sales, and have a broad background in caring for animals, from having had dogs all my life, to volunteering at the Big Dog Ranch Rescue in FL, to over 10 years experience pet sitting dogs, cats and birds. I currently do not have any pets and miss interacting with them... providing walks, love, affection and playtime! I am highly professional, trustworthy, and reliable. Rest assured, I will take care of your pet(s) as if they were my own! Will provide references upon request. I am fully retired so am available for house and pet sitting, as well as drop-in visits for walks, feeding, play time or giving medication. In client's home, will always check surroundings to make sure there's nothing to cause injury or harm. Will treat the pet and property as if they were my own.

I have 2 kids in the home to love on ur animal too!!

“My 3 dogs were taken care of for 2 weeks at my home and they were all fine and no issues with escaping. One of them realized she could jump my fence right before I left but there was no escaping when I was gone because she kept the doors locked. My dog checks! She handled them and I had peace of mind.”

“Billie was so great with our dog Ruger and kept us informed throughout her stay with him. She went above and beyond to care for him and gave us such a peace about leaving him with her. I would definitely recommend Billie to anyone looking for a dog sitter.”

About: I’ve taken care of big dogs, small dogs, and cats. I have also helped with giving them their medication. I am able to be there all day and night with them and love going for walks. I also like to keep the owner updated everyday on the phone. I currently work remote and I am able to stay all day and night. I make my own schedule and can be free to play with the animals whenever as well as take them for a walk whenever. Everyone that I dog sit or cat sit for likes it when I stay over and I make sure to go a day before to meet the pets and have the owner walk me through what an average day looks like so that I imitate it and keep the same schedule. While I’m there I like to keep the house clean.

“I’m so grateful for Jessica ! She treated Gator like her own and made the whole process super easy for me. She’s very reliable, kind, and clearly loves dogs. Gator can be anxious, but he warmed up to her right away. When I got home, he was happy and tired from all the walks and playtime. It’s such a relief to have someone I trust to take care of my dogs when I’m away.”

“This was Rebecca's second time taking care of my pup while I was out of town. I've tried a few sitters for Lulu over the years and Rebecca is by far the best!! Lulu LOVES Rebecca and I can truly feel at ease while I'm traveling knowing that she's at my home taking care of Lulu! She's a great photographer and communicator, plus my house was neat and clean when I returned!”

“Grace was amazing with our furr babies during a long day sit on the 4th at our home with one nervous big senior, who hates fireworks, and one young, little new rescue. She met us the day before our sit and we all instantly clicked. Grateful for her very caring and considerate handling of our 2 on the 4th! Thank you for hanging with B and L !! WE cant wait to have you back :)”

About: I believe they will see that I will care for their dogs as I do my own. My boy "Jax" in the picture, he took his last run on 12-17-2023. Miss him dearly. RIP My angel! I grew up with Poms and went on to the large breeds once I was on my own. Germans shepherds, Newfoundland, English Mastiffs, Afghan Hound and a Great Dane. I am a dog and animal lover PERIOD. I really should have been a vet, vet tech or maybe even a zoologist! But I'm happy just to spend time with the dogs. I have house broken and trained all my dogs personally to basic commands and even some tricks. Some dogs are verbal and some are visual. Not all dogs are the same! That's why I LOVE them SO much!! ~ Reba I own a small Swimming Pool Service Company and have for 20 years. I no longer work in the field I occasionally go troubleshooting jobs or meet with new clients. So I'm semi-retired and home quite a bit I don't really go much of anywhere. I have a fenced-in yard, bordered by bamboo and lots of sniffing/hunting areas. However, they are never left unattended. I'm always outside with them. There is also a pool for the swimmers and a grassy area for just for playing.
About: I have over 14 years of hands-on experience working with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and energy levels, along with 8 years of dedicated pet sitting. I currently work at a dog park and dog daycare, where I supervise group play, handle different temperaments, and ensure a safe, structured environment. I’ve cared for everything from extra large breeds to small dogs, including puppies and seniors. I also have experience with rehomed dogs and understand they may need extra patience and consistency. I’m comfortable with walks, feeding schedules, playtime, basic training, and maintaining routines to keep dogs happy and well-balanced. Pet care is already a big part of my daily routine. I currently work part-time at a dog park and dog daycare, where I spend my time caring for and supervising dogs of all sizes and energy levels. This has made me very comfortable with structured schedules, feeding times, walks, and consistent care. Because I work part-time, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate plenty of time to pet sitting, including drop-in visits, walks, and overnight stays when needed. I’m able to plan my day around the pets I’m caring for to make sure they get the attention, exercise, and routine they’re used to. When caring for pets in a client’s home, my top priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and stress-free in their familiar environment. I follow each pet’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any specific instructions you provide. I’m very attentive to behavior and surroundings, making sure pets are always secure on walks, properly supervised, and never put in unsafe situations. With my experience working at a dog park and dog daycare, I’m confident in reading body language and handling different temperaments calmly and safely. I treat every home with respect—keeping things clean, organized, and just as you left them. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away.
About: I have cared for and owned of all sorts of animals from dogs, cats, snakes, and guinepigs! I love all types of creatures and have helped many friends and family members pet-sit in the past. My schedule is mostly wide open. Early mornings are the only times that are difficult for me. I do not mind working some weekends as needed. I have a fenced in yard and two mini aussies at home. They are sisters from the same litter and they will be 11 in May. We have had them since they were puppies and they love to keep me busy with their colorful personalities.
About: I’ve been taking care of cats and dogs since childhood. Growing up, my family always had at least one cat and one dog in the home and my siblings and I were responsible for caring for these animals. I have always had some sort of pet since then. Currently, I am mother to my pride and joy: an 11-year-old Yorkie. He is an older dog now and sleeps a majority of the day. I am looking for other pets to keep me occupied as I work from home. I will be considering them my new coworkers. 😊 I currently run my business from my apartment. I have a flexible schedule as I work for myself. I have plenty of time to care for dogs and board in my home. I am open to different situations in the home. I live in an apartment building with many dog owners. The apartment is attached to a dog park and there are many larger dog parks in the area.
About: 20+ years of pet care experience. Growing up we had 4 dogs , 6 cats and a whole array of other critters. When it comes to pet sitting, drop by visits or just a quick walk, I’m your guy! I have a full time job that I work Tuesday-Friday 8-6. Im currently available Mondays, Friday evenings, Saturdays & Sundays. Holidays vary since I may be out of town I have two cats myself so ensuring a safe, clean environment is number 1 on my list. If there’s no mess or hazard, I’d ensure all essentials are either available or given at time specified. For example feeding and or medication time, along with kibble/ water restock. If there’s a list, follow the list lol

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Ocean Breeze Park
Lori is wonderful with our spoiled Bailey. We never have to worry when we leave him with her. She was at our house over New Year’s and experience a very scared Bailey with lots of fireworks. She handle that situation just like we would have done. Bailey is very happy when he is with her. He hates for us to leave, but is very happy when he sees Lori at the door. We highly recommend her and use her when she is free. Thank you, Lori.

Katie was absolutely perfect. She came to do a pre-sit visit with Kelsey (our puppy) so they could get to know each other. She asked all the right questions regarding feeding, walking, etc. All the furniture and silver was here when we returned. Lol Kelsey enjoyed her so much he wanted to leave with her. We'll use her again and again

****Rachel stayed in our home and took care of our elderly Frenchie & Cat. She was always prompt, professional, and proactive; ensuring everything was just right with our pets and home while we were away. Auggie, our Frenchie, is a child to us. The next day we found him sitting outside the guest room looking for Rachel, so we know he bonded with her & that alone says a lot. We highly recommend Rachel 😊

Karessa was excellent with our dog, 2 cats and our house. Everything went smoothly and Bailey & cats were happy. She did everything we asked, kept us up to date on animals and sent pictures. Plus we came home to a spotless house! We will definitely be using Karessa again and recommend her to everyone.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Ocean Breeze Park walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Ocean Breeze Park maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Ocean Breeze Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
