I have over 15 years of hands on experience caring for dogs, including my own as well as dogs for friends, family, and clients. I have primarily worked with small to medium sized dogs, but I also have experience caring for larger breeds. I have cared for dogs of all ages, from young puppies to senior dogs, including my own dog who lived to be 17. I am especially comfortable caring for senior dogs. I have experience administering medications as needed, and I understand how important patience, consistency, and routine are for older dogs. I am very reliable when it comes to following schedules for meals, walks, medications, and daily care. Communication is very important to me, and I know how reassuring updates can be for pet parents. I am happy to send regular messages and photos during visits or stays if you would like, so you can feel confident and at ease while you are away. Whether I am house sitting, stopping by for drop in visits, or taking dogs on walks, I treat every dog as if they were my own. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on safety, consistency, and respect for both the pet and the space. I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walk routines, medications, and any household guidelines. I make sure pets are always secure during walks and visits and keep doors, gates, and leashes properly checked. I take time to get to know each pet’s personality, comfort level, and any special needs, especially for senior pets. I maintain a calm and familiar environment by sticking to their usual routine and providing companionship, playtime, and attention at their pace. I also treat my client’s home with care and respect. I keep the space clean and tidy, handle litter boxes and feeding areas responsibly, and make sure everything is left as it was found. I communicate regularly with pet parents and provide updates and photos so they can feel confident that their pet and home are in good hands.

Tara did a great job house and dog sitting with our senior chihuahua Dudley. She sent pictures and updated us during the day and always responded to messages promptly. We will definitely have Tara house/dog sit for us again.

Tara is a wonderful and caring dog sitter. She has taken care of me and my wife's dogs Appa and Peach on multiple occasions For the past 3 years and we were more than satisfied with her care. Tara is attentive to detail, responsive to our concerns, and loving and caring to our dogs needs. Peach and Appa love Tara, which is a relief because our dogs are extremely particular with people. If you were to choose Tara to pet sit your fur babies, I can vouch you will be elated with how she will love, care, and attend to your pets needs.
Tara has always been super reliable and fantastic when it comes to watching my dog and my cat. She's reasonable and flexible. We appreciated the daily updates about how our senior dog handled his medications and she also sent pictures! Our cat is very skittish and she was comfortable being around Tara. She was even able to give her treats! Highly recommend her for your pet sitting needs.

Zeitplan
Pet care fits very naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I am currently available full-time, which allows me to be flexible with scheduling and give pets the time and attention they deserve. I am able to plan my days around feedings, walks, drop-in visits, and companionship, and I prioritize being present and attentive during each visit or stay. I have experience managing pet care alongside remote work, so I am comfortable staying in the home and maintaining routines while ensuring pets are never left without proper care or attention. My schedule allows me to be reliable, responsive, and consistent, whether a pet needs regular walks, multiple daily visits, or overnight care.
