About: I started animal care around ten, with things like walking, feeding, bathing, etc. As i’ve gotten older i’ve had many animals of my own from several dogs to even more cats! If i’m not with my own pets I’m certainly helping out with others! I’ve also been studying animal nutrition for about 5 years now. It all started when my cat, Kinya got really ill. I started looking in to healthier foods and treats, to keep up with animals biological needs. All while learning new things everyday about what is best for our pets! I’m currently available as needed right now I am very flexible, just message me to find a great time for you, me and your fur baby! I also have experience in a specialty spa/shop, This included many types of different foods, toys, treats and supplements. I was around dogs, cats and other pets constantly! My job was to educate pet parents on healthy lifestyles for their pets. I have a Australian Shepard puppy named Versai, and two cats named Kyro and Kinya! Can’t wait to meet all of you

About: Growing up, I have always had a genuine love for animals, especially dogs and I bring years of hands-on experience caring for a wide variety of pets. Throughout my life, I have owned dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, and cockatiels. In my work as a caregiver for the elderly, I helped care for their dogs by walking, feeding, grooming, bathing, and providing loving, attentive care while their owners were in the hospital or on vacation. Just as my senior clients had different personalities and specific needs, I understand every pet has a unique personality, routine, and feeding plan. My most recent four-legged, family member is a 15-year-old mini–Australian Shepherd whom I adopted when he was nine. When I first brought him home, he was very shy, anxious, and fearful of men. However, with much patience, encouragement and consistency, I helped him become more comfortable with neighbors on our daily walks and overcome many of his fears, including thunderstorms. Of course, fireworks still make him tremble. You can trust that I will care for your pet with the same loving attention, patience, and compassion that I give my own. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness will always be my top priorities. My calm, friendly demeanor helps animals feel safe and comfortable. I strive for excellence in everything I do. I'm trustworthy, dependable, and careful to follow specific instructions. I am attentive to pick up after your pet and keep their spaces clean. Whether it’s walking, feeding, playing, or just companionship, you can have peace knowing your pet is in loving hands and get the best care they deserve. I currently work part-time. My schedule is open weekdays, Monday through Friday mainly from 8 AM - 6 PM but depending on the task, I can be flexible. I will respect and treat your home the way I do my own. I will make sure all the pet spaces and litter boxes are well maintained and clean up promptly after any mess.
“Gemar was fantastic. Communication was quick and clear, and followed all instructions perfectly. Both of my dogs were well-fed, cared for, and genuinely happy when I got home. Gemar handled everything smoothly and I felt completely at ease knowing my pets were in great hands. Highly recommend and will definitely be rebooking!”

I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, and I take that responsibility seriously. I'm reliable, communicative, and happy to follow your dog's routine, whether that means long walks, playtime, medication reminders, or lots of cuddles. My goal is simple: for your dog to feel safe, loved, and excited to see me again. I work remotely, which gives me a very flexible schedule and allows me to spend plenty of quality time with your pet throughout the day. Whether your dog needs regular walks, playtime, companionship, or simply someone to keep them company, I'll be there to maintain their routine and make sure they feel comfortable while you're away. Since I'll be caring for your dog in your home, my priority is to keep their routine as consistent as possible. I'll follow your instructions carefully regarding feeding, walks, medications, and any special needs. I'll also keep your home clean and respected, and I'll send regular photo and video updates so you can relax knowing your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs, cats, fish, turtles (you name it!) for over 10 years. Starting with neighbors and family pets and continuing through friends and referrals. I’m very attentive, responsible, and calm, which helps dogs, and all animals, feel safe and comfortable around me. I understand that every pet has a different personality and routine, and I always follow care instructions closely, whether that includes feeding schedules, medications, long walks, or extra cuddle time. I treat every pet like they’re my own and make sure owners feel fully at ease while they’re away. I work from home full-time as a software engineer, so I’m home throughout the day and able to provide consistent supervision and attention. Your pet will not be left alone for long periods. My flexible schedule allows for regular walks, playtime, feeding routines, and plenty of companionship. I’m available weekdays and weekends and can accommodate most schedules with advance notice. I provide pet care exclusively in the client's home, including overnight stays. This includes feeding, walks, playtime, medication administration if needed, and companionship, all while keeping their space clean and secure. I focus on keeping pets comfortable and settled in their own environment — sticking to their normal routine, favorite spots, and feeding schedule so there's minimal disruption to their day. David took such great care of Leo during a drop-in visit while I was away for a long day of Pilates suspension training. Knowing Leo was in such good hands gave me complete peace of mind so I could stay focused on my training. David is dependable, communicative, and always goes above and beyond to make sure Leo is happy and well cared for. I truly trust him and am so grateful to have someone like him looking after my boy. Highly recommend!

She took such great care of our dog, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. She was kind, attentive, and kept us updated, which really gave us peace of mind while we were away. It was obvious that she genuinely cared about him, and you can tell he really likes her too! We would definitely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to watch their pet.

Lindsey was great with our 2 dogs while we were out of town for a week in NY. She was always on time for visits and followed our instructions perfectly. We can tell she is an animal lover and she provided many photos and check ins with detail to put us at ease.

Leah is truly the best cat sitter we could ask for! This is the second time she's cared for our two girls, Celena and Fern, and once again she went above and beyond. From the moment she arrives, it's clear that she genuinely loves and understands cats. She doesn't just stop by to feed them and clean up—she spends quality time with them, gives them affection, and treats them like members of her own family. As pet parents, there's nothing more reassuring than knowing your cats are happy, comfortable, and loved while you're away. Leah gives us that peace of mind every single time. We always come home to two well-cared-for, content kitties, and we can tell they've received so much attention and love in our absence. Thank you, Leah, for taking such incredible care of Celena and Fern. We are so grateful for your kindness, reliability, and the genuine love you show our girls. We couldn't recommend you more highly!

I had a fantastic experience with Emily as my Rover sitter. She took amazing care of my dogs for three days and went above and beyond. Emily followed all my instructions, sent the cutest photo updates, and gave my pups so much love. I came home to very happy dogs. Thank you, Emily!

My cats are old and I was definitely nervous leaving them, but Juliana was great! She took really good care of them. She communicated with me if she had any concerns and/or questions and she sent pictures! Will definitely rebook again in the future if needed !

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
