Hi I'm Ashley Thank you for taking the time to visit my profile and for considering me to care for you pet(s)! I'll share a bit about myself and my passion for caring for and working with pet owners and their beloved pets. I understand it's important to find a good fit and it isn't always easy to know by simply looking at a sitters profile so I'd like to share a bit about my experience and love for animals. I'll start by saying that I believe pets are family members too. I enjoy caring for your pets as if they were my own. Routine care, safety, and lots of love are always a priority. Whether it's a reptile , bunny, cat, or dog, your pet will have my undivided attention and care while we are together. I have been with Rover for 8 years now and it's been a gift for myself and my family! I hope I will get to continue to work with the many clients I have currently as well as new pet owners and their beloved pets for many years to come . My experience with caring for pets of all types started in our family home. My mom had a passion for animals as well and I definitely took after her. We had all sorts of pets growing up. They were a part of the family! My biggest responsibility caring for a pet began about 30 years ago. I was 10 years old. I came home from school and my mom had a surprise for me. She showed me a picture of a little black bear cub like puppy and said we are going to pick him up and he will be your puppy to care for. It was a dream come true. We had a little yorkie in the family already that I helped scare for but this puppy would be my responsibility. I brought him home and he cried and cried at night so I would lay in his kennel with him as he was not allowed to sleep in my bed. I couldn't bare the thought of him alone and scared by himself . He was my BEST friend! You may have or have had THAT dog who changes everything in your life for the better! Since then my love continues to grow for the many pets in my life. One of my first jobs growing up was a kennel tech. I learned a lot about caring for many different ages, breeds and personalities. I learned how to provide safety , clean up after and medicate. Later I worked for a no kill cat shelter called the Cat Welfare Association and learned how to properly care for cats and rescue ferals. I currently care for my 2 children from home full time. They love to help and are learning so much through this experience. We are so grateful to be able to care for such amazing pets and build relationships with their "owners". If im not able to be home or have appointments my partner Chance is happy to help and will be available to take over.
