“Margo was fantastic at taking care of my two senior dogs, 7 lb morkie and 7 lb chihuahua. She arrived on time, found my garage door was open, closed it, sent me photos and walked them, fed them and spent quality time with them. Very responsible and a joy to have. Note, my morkie is feisty on walks and barks at everyone. We did a test walk and she handled him beautifully. Thank you Margo!”

“Lorianne is awesome. She will care for your pets like they're her own. She is caring, reliable and responsible. Lorianne is truly Amazing and the best dog sitter and Scooby agrees 🐾❤️🐾.”

About: I have had many dogs since I was born and have owned many animals including hamsters and snakes. I have treated minor illnesses in dogs before and know multiple emergency vet offices nearby. I am comfortable giving medicines and keeping strict routines and diets. I excel in reading animal body language and understanding and avoiding triggers. I attend College classes Mondays and Wednesdays. I also have a part-time job that I work Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. I usually wake up around 7:30 and have a relaxing morning to myself. I spend my free time at home doing school work and hanging out with my dog and cat. I have a 3/4 acre lot with a six foot chain link fence. I have a Shar-pei American Bulldog mix and a Domestic Shorthair cat, both do well with other animals and can be contained if the need arises. Animals get fed twice a day, 1/2 a cup each morning and evening for the puppy and 1/4 cup each morning and evening for the kitty. The animals are let out freely as we have a screened in pool with a dog door. Toys are preferred but if your baby likes the dog park I know of many and am willing to go with them. Animals are not allowed on the furniture but can get plenty of snuggles on the floor!

We currently own one dog, two geckos, and have a number of fish tanks. I currently run my own business from home. This allows me to focus on your dog as much as needed. I prefer to allow the dogs to roam freely in the house but I do have crates if requested. From highly energetic to couch potato my goal is to make your dog happy during its stay! I like to make sure all dogs under my care are free to explore our large, privacy fenced backyard which I regularly patrol for yard hazards. This also allows for backyard playtime every hour or two! No matter how demanding the dog we have the time and patience for them. There’s no dog that’s too much to Handle. We have a fenced back yard and have multiple playtimes throughout the day. We can crate dogs if necessary and have multiple dog beds and couch space for lounging. We have multiple space bedrooms to separate dogs that need it. With no rugs throughout puppies are no hassle! Being home full time allows plenty of time for hanging out with your pet. I like to focus on playing as much as the dogs want, and go on daily walks around the neighborhood to allow them to explore. I have multiple crates if your furry friend prefers them. I only work part time as I am trying to make this my full time passion! I have a fully fenced yard and plenty of open space inside for the pups to enjoy. My personal dog has been socialized since i’ve gotten her with tons of dogs and lots of time in the public.

About: In addition to being a pet owner, I also worked at an animal shelter where I received specialized training on animal behavior. My friends and family have trusted me with their pets for 10+ years and I love working with dogs and cats. I’m currently working Monday-Friday until 3 or 4, but I have plenty of time in the evenings to go on walks, runs, and check in with your pets. I’m also free on weekends! I’m happy to stay close to home if that’s what your pet prefers, but I also have an SUV to take them to the beach, the dog park, or on a nice long walk. Unless we’re in a fenced in area, your pet will stay leashed while we run and play together!

About: I’ve been caring for animals my entire life. I grew up fostering dogs and living in a home full of pets of all types, so reading animal behavior and meeting individual needs comes naturally to me. I currently have two dogs of my own—one senior dog who’s in excellent shape and another with diabetes—so I’m extremely comfortable with special care routines, medications, feeding schedules, and detailed instructions. I’m very attentive, organized, and consistent when it comes to pet care. I understand how important routine, patience, and calm energy are—especially for senior pets, anxious pets, or those with medical needs. I treat every pet like my own, making sure they feel safe, loved, and well-cared-for at all times. Whether your pet needs structured exercise to burn off energy, gentle walks, playtime, or extra cuddles and reassurance, I tailor care to what helps them feel happiest and most comfortable. You can trust that your pet will receive the same level of care, attention, and love that I expect for my own I’m currently home full-time, which allows me to provide a very hands-on level of care throughout the day. Pets are never left alone for long periods and I’m able to accommodate regular walks, playtime, feedings, medications, and individualized routines. Starting toward the end of March, I expect to return to the office a few days per week. Even then, pet care will remain a priority, with mornings, evenings, and consistent routines fully maintained. I’m careful to only accept bookings that fit my schedule so every pet receives the attention, supervision, and care they deserve. I have a fully fenced yard and a calm, structured home environment. I also have two friendly, well-socialized dogs, and all interactions are always supervised. I’m experienced with introducing pets slowly and can easily keep dogs and cats separated or crate them if needed to ensure everyone’s comfort and safety. I’m very attentive to routines, boundaries, and individual needs—especially for senior pets, pets with medical needs, or those who prefer a quieter setting. I’m happy to follow any specific care instructions, including feeding schedules, medication routines, crate use, or solo time. I’m flexible and can care for pets either in my home or in the client’s home, depending on what works best for your pet and your comfort level.
“Amber was wonderful!! I was nervous leaving my baby with someone other than family. She made me feel comfortable and safe. Updated me with pictures! I came home to a very happy boy.”

“Rebecca watched our two “boys” in our house and did a wonderful job! We have two very spoiled dogs that demand their routine, one of them is a senior dog. We came home to happy fur-babies and everything in our house just as we had left it. I highly recommend Rebecca! We will 100% use her again!”

“Cannot say enough about the care Piper received while I was away. Sonia was great. Kept me informed the entire time. Would always use her un the future! I tipped her in person, but here is something extra.”

I’ve used Krista for drop-ins before, but this was her first time staying overnight with the dogs — and she did a great job. She was communicative, dependable, and kept me updated, which gave me peace of mind. I have a senior dog who needs special care and she did wonderful. Looking forward to using Krista again! 🐾

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Fort Pierce walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Fort Pierce maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Fort Pierce choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
