“Nicole was excellent! She gave me updates throughout the day and sent me pictures. She was flexible when I needed to change some dates with her. She is a great sitter!”

“Allyson was wonderful with Pepper! Her dog Picasso is an absolute sweetheart & Pepper had a wonderful time with him. Excellent communication, great care, and plenty of doggy playtime. Highly recommend.”

“I cannot say enough great things about Haley and William and the care they provided for my two dogs, From the moment we met, I could tell they truly love dogs and treat them like family. Both of my pups came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well-loved. They made sure Bentley’s special needs were taken care of—paying attention to his allergies and sensitive stomach—and kept Winston entertained and active. I received regular updates and photos throughout the day, which gave me total peace of mind. It’s rare to find caregivers who are both responsible and genuinely affectionate with your pets, but they went above and beyond. I wouldn’t hesitate to trust them with my dogs again, and I highly recommend their services to any pet parent looking for a safe, caring, and fun environment.”

“Kayleigh and her family have been such a great find as new residents! You can tell how much they love and care for the dogs. She takes care of Frank like he is her own and has been so responsive and flexible to our needs. I highly highly recommend her for all your pet sitting needs.”

“Alyssa was amazing with Fado and Roo! I was worried bc Roo can have a lot of anxiety and fear but Alyssa sent me photos and videos from the long day and I saw Roo adapted immediately. She and Fado had so much fun spending the day outside with Alyssa’s dogs and relaxing inside when tired. I will definitely bring them both back!”

“I was visiting Birmingham for the day & our hotel could not accommodate us until later. However I had plans and didn’t have a place for Cash to stay. Amanda helped out with very short notice and was able to care for Cash. I know he enjoyed himself b/c as soon as he got in the car after pick up he went straight to sleep! Thank you for your kindness, Amanda!”

About: My husband and I are huge pet lovers. Plus, I grew up with two doggies in my home and everyone in my family also has puppies I dogsit all the time when they go out of town. I also worked at a Vet hospital for a few months. My daughters will absolutely love having your babies with us and they will get all the cuddles 💜 I am a stay-at-home mommy of three girls who LOVE animals as well. I am home everyday with my girls. Your fur baby would be great taken care of! We have a dog friendly community, I have a small unfenced yard and safe home for them to feel comfortable and loved in! I am able to crate them if needed. My girls are super gentle and would LOVE fur friends 🤍
About: I am very much an animal person and believe in taking superb care of any pets that are in my care. I have an extensive medical background which helps care for animals no matter what should arise. I plan to only take care of one dog at a time and limit the poundage to max of 45 pounds. A meet and greet is required before I will watch your dog to make sure that he or she is a good match for me and I am a good match for them. Iam available to leash walk the dog at least four times a day. I have no problem with your for baby sitting on my couch with me or sleeping on my bed. I do have a requirement that all dogs are housebroken with no history of biting. I am able to give any oral or injectable medications. I am happy to send daily update via email or Instant message along with a pictures of your pet. My schedule is set around the animals needs. I am retired and at home full-time.I do asked if the dog be groomed within at least a few weeks of staying here so that your pet can get on my furniture and sleep in my bed if that’s their preference. Food and walking schedules are always maintain based on the pet parents information to me I have a fully enclosed front porch which allows your pet to see the outside when they’re not being walked. No animal leaves the house without the leash intact. I only watch one dog at a time so each pet is receiving superior care.

“I’ve known Nikki for a long time & she’s always such a kind gal! She has always been so caring of animals and through this business it definitely shows. I had no reservations booking my Huck with her and she updated me right away after drop off letting me know how he was fitting right in. Love that she has great availability and some fun pups running around. Huck was tired & happy after his day with her. Can’t wait to bring him back!!!”
“Jessica was truly God sent to me. I,myself have been in the pet sitting industry for over 20 years now and I've been fortunate enough to be able to always have my dogs with me. Since I have become a farmer my dog, Sophie, has been able to come to work with me until this last job I started May 1st which she is not able to come with me. Jessica has provided me a sense of relief and peace of mind knowing that I can leave my older pup safe and sound, in a loving home, with other pups and human attention while I am off at work. Thank you Jessica!!!”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
