“Catherine & Sean were wonderful with Zoey. She sent me pics and updates everyday while I was in Iceland! It definitely made me feel better knowing she was being loved since this was the first time I’ve used Rover. I will definitely be asking her to watch Zoey again!”

“Tessa did great staying with Emily and her lovely family. Emily was clearly in charge, but her children also took an active role in Tessa’s wellbeing. Lots of belly rubs and walks. Their family dog was very tolerant of the extra attention given to Tessa. Beautiful home and neighborhood. We will bring Tessa again!”

“Alyssa and her husband were great! Very accommodating and wonderful communication. Sent a great pic of my 2 very large very happy puppies to let me see the fun they were having. Her training and experience really set my mind at ease and would recommend their services to anyone. We will definitely be booking with her again!”

“This is my 1st visit with Kendra and she was amazing with our 14yr old baby! Kendra's daughters were so caring and loving towards Scruffy. I highly recommend her! She will be my go to dog sitter moving forward hands down!”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We couldn’t be happier with the care Muffin received! She stayed for 11 nights, and from the very beginning, we felt completely comfortable knowing she was in such good hands. Every day we received a detailed update letting us know how she was eating, going potty, what she had been up to that day, and even whether she had made any new furry friends. 🐶💕 One of our favorite parts was getting pictures of Muffin with the CUTEST little hairdos! 🎀 It was so sweet and made us feel like she wasn’t just being watched—she was genuinely being loved and spoiled while we were away. Being gone for 11 nights can make you worry about your fur baby, but the consistent communication and wonderful care gave us so much peace of mind. Muffin looked happy, comfortable, and very well cared for the entire time. We are extremely happy with our experience and would absolutely trust her with Muffin again. We’re so thankful she took such wonderful care of our furry girl! 🐾❤️”

“Yussel and family did a fantastic job of taking care of Jake while we were gone. They have a wonderful fenced backyard and played fetch with him a lot. He was very well cared for. We would highly recommend her for boarding your dog!!!”

“Maria was very attentive to our dog, sending photos & videos every day that we were gone. Every dog owner knows it’s difficult to leave your pet behind, but Maria put us at ease! Would use her again.”

About: My love for dogs isn’t just a hobby, it’s a lifelong commitment. For the past 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of caring for countless dogs for friends and neighbors, treating each one with the same love and dedication I give my own. They are truly the best and I pour out that genuine affection in every moment I spend with them. I am currently working part-time so I have plenty of time available to share with your pup! I am a very active person with high energy ready to go. I have a fenced yard, love to walk and have a small friendly elder dog to keep your fur baby company if they are at my house. We will follow whatever your normal routine is to make sure they feel the best they can without you.
“Shelby did great for her first time with Nikki. Anytime I contacted Nikki she responded in a short period of time and sent pictures. I would recommend Nikki and will book again!”

“Thank you so much for watching Sam for us and becoming his people for the weekend!! You put us at ease knowing he was in good hands!! We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! Our dog was well cared for, happy, and clearly loved during our time away. We received regular updates and photos, which gave us great peace of mind. Communication was excellent, and we came home to a relaxed, happy pup. We would absolutely book again and highly recommend! (The card and treats was such a cute added touch!)”

“You can tell that Edwin & Jannina live animals. Their home is set up like a pet hotel. Rocky was super happy and enjoyed his vacation. We were kept uk to date with photos and videos of his time with them. Will use again.”

“Danielle was amazing with our dog! This was my first time leaving her anywhere overnight, but Danielle definitely helped put me at ease. She sent several pictures and videos during the weekend and always let me know how my dog was doing. Remy was exhausted when we got home Danielle definitely kept her entertained! She was very sweet and always responsive and attentive. We will definitely be using Danielle again! Thank you!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️”

“I left my dog for 2-1/2 weeks with Anna. She was amazing. Romeo was extremely calm when he came home from his stay. Anna provides a very safe and nurturing home away from home. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
