“William and Kathy are amazing! We’ve had such a great experience with them. They’ve watched Marlin multiple times now, and every single time has been smooth and stress-free. The best part is how excited Marlin gets when he realizes where he’s going—he truly enjoys being at their home, which says everything. It gives us so much peace of mind knowing he’s not just being cared for, but genuinely loved and comfortable. We always get updates, and it’s clear he’s treated like part of the family. Reliable, kind, and clearly great with dogs—we couldn’t ask for a better person to watch Marlin. Highly recommend!”

“Theresea took care of our Shih Tzu for a week and he came home happier then ever! During our vacation we received updates along with a picture or two. It was great to see how he was doing while we were away. She has a large fenced in yard if your dog likes to run free. It turned out ours didn’t! We would definitely use Theresa the next time we go away.”

“Jorge provided truly outstanding pet sitting service! From the moment he stepped in, my pets were not only well cared for—they were genuinely happy and comfortable. It was clear they felt safe and loved, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. Communication with Jorge was amazing. He kept me updated regularly with photos and thoughtful messages, and was always quick to respond to any questions. His professionalism and warmth made the entire experience seamless. I would definitely recommend choosing Jorge for your pet sitting needs. He goes above and beyond, and your pets will thank you for it!”

“Jessica exceeded any and all expectations I had before I left on my three-week trip. In fact, based on the many photos I received while away, I was afraid Sugar, my dog, would not want to come home with me! Thankfully, that wasn’t the case! Jessica followed the strict diet Sugar has to maintain to avoid pancreatitis. And Sugar looked fantastic when I picked her up. If I could give Jess 10 stars, I would. I will definitely be using her in the future. Thanks, Jessica!!!!”

About: I grew up with 3 dogs and 3 cats in my childhood home. I have one old boy left from then, and I still help out in his senior years. I have groomed those three at home, and since moving into my own house, I dog sit small-large sized dogs, both in my own home and in clients homes. I regularly brush the dog’s teeth, trim nails, bathe, and brush their overcoat. I also take care of the grooming for my own two cats. I’ve grown up around all different types of animals, so I’m ready for any specific needs your pets have. I’m currently unemployed and dog sitting to make money, so I am free at all times of the day and night to care for your pets. I do not have a fenced in yard, but that’s no problem because I do not mind a little outside time to take them outside on the leash. I have a park down the street that I walk the dogs to so they can sniff around and stretch their legs. I can also do any extra food care, brushing, bathing, medication, or any needs you have from me. I can fit a crate if needed, but I don’t require any kind of crate.
About: Hi! My name is Starla, and animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I currently have four dogs of my own and have grown up caring for many different types of animals. My love for pets is what inspired me to start dog walking and pet sitting. I understand that pets are family, and I will care for your furry friend as if they were my own. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or simply providing companionship, I am dedicated to making sure your pet feels safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I am responsible, trustworthy, patient, and passionate about animal care, and I would love the opportunity to meet you and your pet! I look forward to giving your pet the attention, care, and affection they deserve I love all my animals, they are my life. Everything I do revolves around them, so I’m very sure your dog is safe with me! I have a fenced yard in plenty of furry babies. Your dog can play with. I love each animal that comes my way, and respect your animal boundaries by caring for them.

About: Patient, reliable, and attentive to each pet’s needs. I’m comfortable caring for energetic young pets as well as seniors who may need extra patience, medication support, or a calmer routine. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners feel reassured while they’re away. I have taken care of dogs since I was a little girl. Whether it be family or friends; pet owners have relied on me to walk, feed, bathe and care for their fur babies. I have my own 8 year old husky and care for all dogs as if they are my own. I currently work part time as a pharmacy technician, so I have plenty of time to care for your pet during the week. Pet care is part of my daily routine through feeding, walks, playtime, grooming, and companionship. I prioritize keeping pets happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I have a big backyard, lots of toys and a 8 year old husky of my own who loves other dogs. I can crate your dog if needed/separate.
“Jennifer and her family were very sweet! Jennifer was incredibly responsive to messages and sent the cutest pics/videos of my cat. This was my first time ever using Rover or having my cat boarded, so I was extra nervous about leaving my fur baby, but could tell she was in great hands. She will be my first choice if I need a sitter again!”

“Awesome !!! Briana did an amazing job with Hardy. She sent pictures and videos. He look like he was having the time of his life !! I was a little sketch about leaving my dog with a random stranger and this was my first time using the app but I hope next time I can use Briana again ! Great service. Very reasonably priced !!”

“Super responsive and flexible with my crazy last minute booking. My super clingy pup adapted well and even remembered to give quick “hugs/kiss” bye when I picked her up (she almost forgot her manners). Will definitely use again!!!”

“Alyssa was incredible with Jack! Their property was most definitely his dream stay! Appreciated all the pictures/video and love they gave him while I was away. Highly recommend!”

About: I have been helping to care of dogs and cats for my family and friends over about 12 years now. About 4 years ago I began to volunteer with local animal shelters and rescues. Through these rescues I have been able to foster, take dogs on "field trips," and socialize so many sweet fur babies! Almost 2 years ago, I adopted my own dog named Arnie, he is a Belgian Malinois and Dobermann mix. I did all training for him when he was 4 months old and have done a ton of research on the breeds. I feel confident in all breeds, sizes, ages, and energy levels! I also currently live with a cat and have experience with cats as well. I am a medical student currently and will be starting doing rotations for the next 2 years. My schedule will vary daily but feel free to reach out and we can make things work! I can guarantee I will do my best to meet the needs of you and your pet in the best way possible! My dog is super friendly and is great on leashed walks with other dogs and is great to play off leash in the dog park at my apartment. I also have support at home to be able to leave him with friends while I am at your house to watch your pets and do not need to have him with me at all times!
“Denise was great to take my dog in a week before I had to leave. My dog got along great with her dog. I recommend her highly. My dog had to take medicine for allergies and Denise didn’t hesitate to do the job. I will bring my dog to her anytime.”

About: I’ve taken care of my dogs as well as friends and neighbors for a long time. I love meeting new pets and looking after them! I am home from college for the summer so I am mostly available anytime and I will try my best to work with your schedule! I have a fenced backyard but also take my two dogs out to play around and let their zoomies out. They’re very friendly with other dogs and sometimes even like to swim with me!
“Rosa was awesome. I felt very comfortable leaving my furbabies with her for several days. Her home is beautiful and very dog friendly. I especially love that she sends pictures everyday. I would highly recommend her .”

“We had a wonderful experience! Emma had an amazing time, and it was clear she was well cared for and happy. We especially appreciated receiving daily pictures and fun stories about her adventures!”

“Absolutely amazing. They took care of my girl and sent me pictures and updates and went above and beyond. Will absolutely book again with Nikki and Michael. 5 stars!”

We have had our fur babies with Joe 3 or 4 times now over the years and they always come back happy and healthy. He sends videos and regular updates so we have something to watch when we’re missing them. When an unexpected issue came up this time, Joe took Penny and Poppy for over an entire month at short notice. He’s the sweetest and best caregiver we could ever ask for. See you again soon!

Went over before dropping off Mocha for a meet and greet. Stephanie's home is lovely and spotless. Was a little concerned that my dog was going to get too excited with Stephanie's cat but all was good. Mocha had knee surgery in January of 2026 and needed a few medicines. Stephanie was not concerned that this was too much. She sent me pictures of Mocha at least daily even one with Mocha and the children all dressed up in costumes. Her sweet children gave Mocha some of their stuffed animals. I would feel extremely comfortable leaving Mocha with Stephanie again. Thank you!

Melanie & Daniel were absolutely wonderful with our dog, Millie! They kept in touch with many updates and photos on a daily basis while we were away. Millie was so happy with them, she seemed reluctant to depart after he week with them. Much gratitude to both Melanie and Daniel .

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
