“Theresa and her husband are devout animal lovers. Piper had a wonderful time with them, got to play with their sweet dogs and was spoiled as though she's always been one of their pack even though this was her very first stay with them. They have a very large fenced in area for the dogs to run around in during the cooler parts of the day and to do their business. Pups are treated like family, lots of love and affection, lazing on the couch and getting to snuggle up at bedtime. I will 100% use Theresa again.”
“Jessica and Zara ( her dog) made our dog Teddy feel sooo welcomed and cozy in her home. The whole time we were away she sent us pictures which made me feel confident that he was in the best hands. We are so grateful for their loving care for our Teddy!”

“Jennifer and her family were very sweet! Jennifer was incredibly responsive to messages and sent the cutest pics/videos of my cat. This was my first time ever using Rover or having my cat boarded, so I was extra nervous about leaving my fur baby, but could tell she was in great hands. She will be my first choice if I need a sitter again!”

“Lt Dann had a great visit. They are willing to embrace a special needs pup in a wheelchair, great first visit and can only hope for more! Thank you for taking such good care of him. If you have never had a wheelie pup or a handicap pup you don’t know how special it is to find a safe place for them ❤️.”

About: Hi! My name is Starla, and animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I currently have four dogs of my own and have grown up caring for many different types of animals. My love for pets is what inspired me to start dog walking and pet sitting. I understand that pets are family, and I will care for your furry friend as if they were my own. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or simply providing companionship, I am dedicated to making sure your pet feels safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I am responsible, trustworthy, patient, and passionate about animal care, and I would love the opportunity to meet you and your pet! I look forward to giving your pet the attention, care, and affection they deserve I love all my animals, they are my life. Everything I do revolves around them, so I’m very sure your dog is safe with me! I have a fenced yard in plenty of furry babies. Your dog can play with. I love each animal that comes my way, and respect your animal boundaries by caring for them.
“Caesar was, without question, the best Rover sitter we’ve ever had! From the moment Minnie and Bunny arrived, it was obvious they were being cared for like they were part of his own crew. His daily “Captain’s Log” updates were absolutely priceless. They weren’t just updates, They were hilarious, creative, and so thoughtfully written that we looked forward to reading each one. They perfectly captured our girls’ unique personalities and made us laugh every single day while giving us complete peace of mind that they were happy, safe, and loved. It’s rare to find someone who not only provides exceptional care but also puts so much heart, humor, and effort into making pet parents feel connected while they’re away. Caesar truly went above and beyond. Minnie and Bunny clearly adored their stay, and so did we. If you’re looking for someone who will love your pets like family, keep you smiling with the most entertaining updates, and provide outstanding care, look no further than Caesar. We will absolutely be booking with him again. Five stars aren’t enough!”

About: Hello, My name is Trevor. I am offering my services for walking and house sitting. I have grown up with my mom pet sitting. She is a highly rated rover sitter who provides all kinds of care. I enjoy helping her with the dogs and cats she cares for. It’s nice to meet new people and also get to know a lot of different breeds. We volunteer at the humane society in our spare time. I can assure you your baby / babies will be well taken care of I am 18 yrs old and a senior in high school. I do home schooling so my schedule is pretty open. This will allow me to be able to work around your needs. For dog walks I will speak to the owners about time limits. I know some breeds can’t be in the heat too long or walk too far. If the heat is too hot I will suggest to the owner maybe a different time to keep your baby safe. House sitting I would go over all details with owner and make sure I follow their feeding schedules etc. communication is the key 😀

About: I grew up with 3 dogs and 3 cats in my childhood home. I have one old boy left from then, and I still help out in his senior years. I have groomed those three at home, and since moving into my own house, I dog sit small-large sized dogs, both in my own home and in clients homes. I regularly brush the dog’s teeth, trim nails, bathe, and brush their overcoat. I also take care of the grooming for my own two cats. I’ve grown up around all different types of animals, so I’m ready for any specific needs your pets have. I’m currently unemployed and dog sitting to make money, so I am free at all times of the day and night to care for your pets. I do not have a fenced in yard, but that’s no problem because I do not mind a little outside time to take them outside on the leash. I have a park down the street that I walk the dogs to so they can sniff around and stretch their legs. I can also do any extra food care, brushing, bathing, medication, or any needs you have from me. I can fit a crate if needed, but I don’t require any kind of crate.

About: I’ve taken care of my dogs as well as friends and neighbors for a long time. I love meeting new pets and looking after them! I am home from college for the summer so I am mostly available anytime and I will try my best to work with your schedule! I have a fenced backyard but also take my two dogs out to play around and let their zoomies out. They’re very friendly with other dogs and sometimes even like to swim with me!

“Rosa is truly exceptional! I am genuinely grateful for the incredible care Rosa and her family gave to Luke. From the warm welcome to the constant updates, her kindness and prompt communication made the entire experience absolutely stress‑free. Rosa treated Luke like part of her own family, and it showed the moment I picked him up — he was happy, relaxed, and honestly… I think he already misses her! Rosa is a true gem in Port St. Lucie, and I’m so glad I found her. I’m here to stay. Thank you, Rosa, for going above and beyond for Luke and for us. God bless you and your loving family!”

I have a lot of experience owning and caring for dogs and cats, and other types of animals of friends, neighbors and family. I am open to caring for your pet, whether dog or lizard, meanwhile you are away from home. Responsibility is important to me and I’m going to make sure your loved one is cared for, which is why I make sure I treat your pet in its own way.
“Olivia is the best! Our introverted Sadie took to her and literally went to the window and whined when Olivia left after dropping her off following an 8 day stay. She is our new 'go-to' when Sadie's humans go places she can't. She kept us informed and sent pics assuring us our girl was doing well. Definitely a much better experience than boarding her at a local popular kennel. Highly recommend Olivia!”

“Denise was great to take my dog in a week before I had to leave. My dog got along great with her dog. I recommend her highly. My dog had to take medicine for allergies and Denise didn’t hesitate to do the job. I will bring my dog to her anytime.”

“Daniel and his family welcomed and took very good care of my malitpoo for the weekend. He sent photos and updates through the time my pup was there.... would highly recommend him to other people and will be using him again”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Vero Beach
Went over before dropping off Mocha for a meet and greet. Stephanie's home is lovely and spotless. Was a little concerned that my dog was going to get too excited with Stephanie's cat but all was good. Mocha had knee surgery in January of 2026 and needed a few medicines. Stephanie was not concerned that this was too much. She sent me pictures of Mocha at least daily even one with Mocha and the children all dressed up in costumes. Her sweet children gave Mocha some of their stuffed animals. I would feel extremely comfortable leaving Mocha with Stephanie again. Thank you!

Melanie & Daniel were absolutely wonderful with our dog, Millie! They kept in touch with many updates and photos on a daily basis while we were away. Millie was so happy with them, she seemed reluctant to depart after he week with them. Much gratitude to both Melanie and Daniel .

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
