“Patricia is the only one we will ever leave Brodie with. She sent pictures daily to us. When he wouldn’t eat she hand fed him. Made him feel at home. Brodie loved it there. When we need a sitter again l, it will be Patricia for sure”

“We could not do a meet and greet in advance because we are not local. We had some back and forth conversation to give both of us peace of mind that this was a good fit. I can confirm it was a great fit. Theresa appeared to be attentive to my 3 doodle mixes. She sent frequent pictures and communications. I could tell through the photos that my fur babies felt safe (i.e. sleeping on back). I would absolutely love my fur babies to visit again next time we are in the area.”

“Dan took such good care of my dog! Dan has a fenced yard and a sweet dog to play with. Dan gave me frequent updates and photos to show how my little buddy was doing. I can't imagine a better match. Dan is my number one boarding choice for future trips.”

“Rody was AMAZING with my fur babies. She spoiled them rotten and sent me lots of updates and videos and pictures which was so appreciated. I have never left my puppies anywhere and was quite nervous about it but Rody went over and above what I was expecting. If anyone has concerns on whether to leave your babies in her care, DON'T, cause she is absolutely the best at being a bonus mommy and I have recommended her to all my friends, plus she is very affordable and her husband and adult son were also very welcoming. Will absolutely use her for any future care for my fur babies!!!!!”

“Sheena was great! She's super sweet and was awesome with my pup. This was the first time he had been away from us and he seemed perfectly comfortable. I got updates and pix of my puppy when I was away. Would definitely leave my puppy with her again.”

About: As a former veterinary technician and someone who has been raising animals since being in diapers, I can assure you, your babies are safe here. I am also only 4 minutes away from an emergency vet in the event of any emergency. Give your babies a fun beachside retreat while you are away! I work full time but I work close to home. Your babies will not be left alone for long and will be properly protected while they are alone. I have a fenced in yard and a big house for your babies to explore. I am a former vet tech of many years and I have cared for all types of animals.
“Gucci was a happy girl when we picked her up from her 4-night stay. Olivia sent pictures of Gucci-playing with her dogs and other actuvitues. We would call Olivia again to watch Gucci in the future.”

“Leslie was super friendly and took really good care of our girl. She even took her to the beach for a small adventure. Leslie was able to fit us in last minute. She helped us out in a last minute situation. Thank Leslie for accepting and taking great care of our Nebula. We will definitely be using her again.”

“Gretchen did a wonderful job taking care of Cooper! She was reliable, caring, and clearly loves dogs. Cooper was happy and comfortable when we got back, which says a lot. Gretchen kept us updated and made the whole experience stress-free. We would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her as a dog sitter.”

“My husband and I knew we would be able to relax and enjoy our cruise while our boy was being cared for by Kenneth and Dawn. We received daily updates and pictures. Our boy was spoiled and so well taken care of.”

“OMG It was amazing boarding experience i’ve ever had. They are really responsible and very thoughtful. They gave me doggy report card when I picked him up. Sent me lots of photos and videos. We definitely come back to Samuel! ?”

“Max was wonderful with my 7 month old lab for a sleepover. Forrest was immediately comfortable with Max & he even sent me a couple of photos to let me know how he was doing. Convenient close to FSU campus and he was very flexible with times. Would definitely book again with Max! ?”

Scott and Angel are AMAZING dog sitters! We were so hesitant to leave our fur baby, but they made her 10-day stay so fun! They have the perfect “dog house” with two adorable dogs of their own. They sent daily pics and videos of all the fun Shyla was having! We were so happy to know that she was so well cared for while we were gone. I would give 6 stars out of 5! ❤️🐶

I can’t say enough great things about Viviana. During our 10-day trip abroad, we felt completely at ease knowing Fiona was truly on a vacation of her own. Viviana treated her to plenty of walks, beach trips, and daily swims in her pool—our little mermaid-dog hybrid was in absolute heaven. Viviana sent us multiple photos every day, which we appreciated so much. Leaving Fiona for a long trip usually comes with some guilt, but Viviana made sure we didn’t feel an ounce of that. Fiona came home happy, well cared for, and honestly a little sad for a few days that the fun was over. We would trust Viviana again in a heartbeat and can’t recommend her enough.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
