“Nancy is awesome. She was wise enough to interview our dog to make sure he would be happy staying with her. She provided great communication on how our pup was doing while we were gone and made us feel happy he was being watched and was able to be part of her family. When we go again, our pup is staying with Nancy!”
“Olivia and family were terrific watching our Sully. Lots of picture updates and overall well being of him while he spent his time with Olivia and her family. Sully got lots of walks and attention. Overall great experience having Sully stay with her.”

“Kristine was great with our Charlie! She was so nice to take our pup over a holiday. She sent pictures and videos every day! I highly recommend her for your pet sitting needs!”

“Dan was the perfect choice to watch our pups! He gave daily updates while we were out of town and took such good care of our pups. I recommend Dan to any of our friends who need a reliable, friendly, and professional sitter.”

“Alex and Dory were great. We were worried to leave our recent rescue dog, but never a question once we met. Scooby did great and we were well informed with good pictures. Thank you guys!”

“Denise was great to take my dog in a week before I had to leave. My dog got along great with her dog. I recommend her highly. My dog had to take medicine for allergies and Denise didn’t hesitate to do the job. I will bring my dog to her anytime.”

“Our 10 y/o goldendoodle is fairly energetic. Ken and Dawn were wonderful to work with. They kept Penny occupied and sent pictures regularly. We highly recommend them for anyone looking for great people to care for their pet.”

“Cassie, Michael and their girls were wonderful You can really tell they enjoyed watching Goose. He came home exhausted, and plopped down on his bed. We will definitely use them again! Thanks guys!”

“We could not do a meet and greet in advance because we are not local. We had some back and forth conversation to give both of us peace of mind that this was a good fit. I can confirm it was a great fit. Theresa appeared to be attentive to my 3 doodle mixes. She sent frequent pictures and communications. I could tell through the photos that my fur babies felt safe (i.e. sleeping on back). I would absolutely love my fur babies to visit again next time we are in the area.”

“Rody was AMAZING with my fur babies. She spoiled them rotten and sent me lots of updates and videos and pictures which was so appreciated. I have never left my puppies anywhere and was quite nervous about it but Rody went over and above what I was expecting. If anyone has concerns on whether to leave your babies in her care, DON'T, cause she is absolutely the best at being a bonus mommy and I have recommended her to all my friends, plus she is very affordable and her husband and adult son were also very welcoming. Will absolutely use her for any future care for my fur babies!!!!!”

“Joseph was fantastic! He asked tons of questions in order to get to know Nacho's needs and wants. He was very attentive sent photos and his communication was spot on. He is the best dog sitter we have found thus far and hope to continue to use him moving forward.”

“Josephine took very good care of Odin and Zumi. She was very communicative and shared photos while we were away. Seamless drop-off and pick-up. I would highly recommend Josephine and would rebook again in the future.”

“Olivia was amazing! Thank you, Olivia, for taking such sweet care of our spoiled princess, Hilde! I felt so relieved that Hilde was getting the attention and cuddles she's used to. We'll definitely book you again the next time we're visiting family! All the best!”

“Brian and Leigh watched my puppy, Dixie, during the hottest month in Florida. She is high maintenance (lots of energy) however they made sure she was walked and entertained (not a small task with the spaniel breed!). Their dog, Pearl, was a sport and also helped tame the “Dixie energy”. I would trust them with the care of my dog anytime. Thank you Brian and Leigh.”

“Ms. Debra was great! My dogs felt right at home with her from the initial meet and greet, and I have one dog that usually isn't too friendly at first to strangers and as soon as he went right to her without hesitation I knew she was the one. She was very responsive and sent updates throughout my trip with pictures. Came back home to some happy doggies! Will definitely rebook”

“Frankie Sue loved being at Cameron’s! She was so happy for her visit & play time! Cameron kept us informed as it was Frankie’s first stay, we got picks through the day was the perfect reassurance!”

About: My wife and I have been pet sitting for several years. My clients have all become part of the family. I genuinely love being around animals, going for walks and spending time with animals. We were dog sitting previously in Canada while living there, we would be happy to provide you with additional references. We have the friendliest 7 year old Irish setter who absolutely loves being around people and dogs (He spends a lot of his time at Fred Popp dog park running in circles for an hour). He loves both large and small dogs and he does not seem to care if they are female or male. When pet sitting at your home, my dog will stay home with his other family members . We work from home so were always around. We love walking and being outdoors so your pet will get lots of exercise (I can track the pets walks on my phone and send updates and photos so you know your buddy is having a great time). We will always discuss the pets needs before caring for them as every pet is different and deserves the staycation that's best for them. We will discuss the pets' needs with the owner and come up with a plan that they are comfortable. (I'll do my best to stick to the same routine they have at home )
“Cammie was the best! Eva is very timid but was so comfortable with Cammie and Rick. I got pictures the entire time and I could tell Eva felt right at home! She was extremely patient with Eva and checked in to let me know how she was doing. Cammie will be our go-to sitter from now on.”

Scott and Angel are AMAZING dog sitters! We were so hesitant to leave our fur baby, but they made her 10-day stay so fun! They have the perfect “dog house” with two adorable dogs of their own. They sent daily pics and videos of all the fun Shyla was having! We were so happy to know that she was so well cared for while we were gone. I would give 6 stars out of 5! ❤️🐶

I can’t say enough great things about Viviana. During our 10-day trip abroad, we felt completely at ease knowing Fiona was truly on a vacation of her own. Viviana treated her to plenty of walks, beach trips, and daily swims in her pool—our little mermaid-dog hybrid was in absolute heaven. Viviana sent us multiple photos every day, which we appreciated so much. Leaving Fiona for a long trip usually comes with some guilt, but Viviana made sure we didn’t feel an ounce of that. Fiona came home happy, well cared for, and honestly a little sad for a few days that the fun was over. We would trust Viviana again in a heartbeat and can’t recommend her enough.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
