“Cj is excellent! It was obvious Nero enjoyed his 2 days very much with her and her fur babies. Cj took great care of Nero, and it’s clear she is dedicated to providing the best quality of life possible to her own pups. I felt very secure, and we will definitely visit again anytime we require boarding or day care! Thank you!”

“We had a meet and greet first. I left my German Shepard (Layla) with Sheena while I soccer around the block. She had much fun with Frozen. So the following weekend I left Layla for a overnight visit. I think she had a really good visit. I'm doing all this to prepare for a whole week.”

“We can’t say thank you enough for the wonderful job Gail did caring for Casper, especially given our last-minute booking request. Owning a reactive dog (especially a pitbull) can make finding a sitter extremely stressful, but Gail provided us with photos and updates every day and we couldn’t believe how relaxed and happy our dog was while we were away. This was our first time having someone outside of our immediate family care for Casper, but we will absolutely book with Gail again and recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter. Thanks again so much Gail!”

“I love a Darcy, the only place I leave my pup and he always can't wait to see his pack when he shows up. Definitely helps me to leave him knowing he's safe 🙏”

“Samantha has been so kind and attentive to our loving, crazy, and energetic dog. She’s super understanding and has accepted my super hyper dog. She’s been accommodating to last minute plans when available. She provides updates and sends pictures of my dogs day. I highly recommend her. Thank you Samantha for all you have done for us.”

“Joanne is great with Tori, giving care and long walks. Encouraging her rest but ensuring she has fun. Joanne is great at ensuring all medicine is taken and communicating with you during a stay.”

“Cassie, Michael and their girls were wonderful You can really tell they enjoyed watching Goose. He came home exhausted, and plopped down on his bed. We will definitely use them again! Thanks guys!”

“Kristine was great with our Charlie! She was so nice to take our pup over a holiday. She sent pictures and videos every day! I highly recommend her for your pet sitting needs!”

“Super Duper Fur Baby Caregiver! Darlene is awesome! Her pup Russell was friendly and very happy to have a new friend. I couldn’t ask for a better experience. My pup was calm, happy, safe, and comfortable. Thank you Darlene and family for taking such excellent, kind, and loving care of my Nero!”

“Joseph was fantastic! He asked tons of questions in order to get to know Nacho's needs and wants. He was very attentive sent photos and his communication was spot on. He is the best dog sitter we have found thus far and hope to continue to use him moving forward.”

“Our 10 y/o goldendoodle is fairly energetic. Ken and Dawn were wonderful to work with. They kept Penny occupied and sent pictures regularly. We highly recommend them for anyone looking for great people to care for their pet.”

About: I’ve always had a pet, from hamsters, turtles, ferrets, cats to dogs. I don’t mind a dog that’s a little naughty. Currently, the love of my life is a four year old Australian Cattle Dog named Flash Bama. He is high energy, loves other dogs and a great cuddle boy. My dog is high energy and must be exercised and played with several times a day. He goes with me kayaking, hiking, and on long car trips. So, pet care is always a part of my daily routine. I am available M-F after 4pm and anytime Saturday and Sunday. I leave for work at 6am M-F so overnights are possible if it fits your schedule. My home is on a quarter acre with a good sized back yard with a 4 ft chain linked fence. It’s large enough for a dog to run, catch a frisbee or herd a herding ball. My floors are ceramic tile and high end vinyl, no mess worries. There are plenty of outdoor dog toys. I have a dog door leading to a 4x8x6 foot tarped cage. That cage door is open when I’m home so that my dog can go outside when he wants to however, most of the time I’m outside with my pet.
“I’m so grateful to Gail for taking such good care of our dog. We were so nervous about going on a cruise and leaving our dog with a stranger but the minute I met Gail and her two adorable goldens during the meet and greet I know our dog was in a safe, loving home. Our dog had a blast with her dogs, running and playing in her backyard. Gail sent us pictures and videos so we could see for ourselves what a great time our dog was having. Thanks so much Gail!!”

“My dog absolutely loves staying with them. She loves catching lizards in the yard and loves that she gets to sleep with them in their bed. When I picked her up she could care less about coming home with me. I really appreciate them treating her like she is their own.”

“Joshua took **fantastic** care of my Pepper while I was out of town. During the meet and greet, he asked all the important questions and was very interested in learning all aspects of Pepper’s care. It helped that my dog really seemed to like Joshua! He kept me informed during my trip and provided timely responses. This really gave me peace of mind, especially since it was the first time that I asked a sitter to provide Pepper with medication. I am so happy with the experience that I hope to book again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Malabar
Caesar was absolutely amazing with our little Mickey! 🐶💙 He was very accommodating, attentive, and made us feel completely comfortable leaving Mickey in his care. Mickey took to him right away, and it was clear that Caesar made him feel safe, comfortable, and right at home. We truly appreciated the care and attention he gave our little guy and had such a great experience. We definitely recommend Caesar to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter, and we will absolutely be using his services again in the future! 🐾

Thank you Gretchen, for taking such good care of Luna! We had no worries about Luna’s well being during our vacation. Gretchen’s home is very accommodating for her furry visitors! She was flexible and helpful and her communication was excellent while we were out! It was so sweet to see photos of my girl running and playing with her teenage son! I would definitely book again and highly recommend her!

what could be more important than who takes care of your dogs? Bailey is a wonderfully caring, loving, responsible, responsive professional who took excellent care of my two dogs. She is a pleasure to work with and I will be back again and again - Bailey is the best!

We could not do a meet and greet in advance because we are not local. We had some back and forth conversation to give both of us peace of mind that this was a good fit. I can confirm it was a great fit. Theresa appeared to be attentive to my 3 doodle mixes. She sent frequent pictures and communications. I could tell through the photos that my fur babies felt safe (i.e. sleeping on back). I would absolutely love my fur babies to visit again next time we are in the area.

Felicia and Greg are absolutely amazing! They have watched Bimini many times, and we trust them completely. It’s such a relief to know she’s in great hands and that we don’t have to worry at all while we’re gone. Bimini loves playing with their pups and always comes home tired, happy, and well cared for. Felicia and Greg are very communicative and keep us updated, which we truly appreciate. We would recommend them a million times over and are so grateful to have found such wonderful, reliable sitters!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
