“Jessica and her family were so friendly & accommodating to my dog Max. They took the time to let him feel at home & get comfortable with other doggie friends. They showed patience & care to make Max and myself feel completely comfortable with his stay. I loved all the daily updates too! Will definitely be using Jessica for my future Rover bookings.”

“I would recommend Susie to anyone in need of care for your animals. She is very reliable, trustworthy, and takes such good care of our dogs when we are out of town! The pups love going to her house!”

“Andrea is absolutely amazing! She accommodated our last minute get away and was super flexible with our time and delays. Peanut loves to go stay for her doggie vaca. Thank you for always taking such great care of our fur baby.”

“We are so thankful for Paul!! He was amazing and sent so many pics and updates every day while we were away. It felt great knowing Baloo was in such great and caring hands! Paul will be our call every time we need someone to watch our boy!”

“If I could give her a thousand stars I would. I had the worst rover experience before Teresa and was very uncomfortable leaving my fur baby with anyone. Teresa was with me the whole way and gave me the ease of mind that my baby was in the best hands! He got a bath and smelled amazing and was so happy the entire stay (Teresa sent many pictures and none without a smile on his face). I wouldn’t take my fur baby to anyone else! Thank you so much Teresa, you’re a God sent angel!”

“Jami was wonderful with our 2 dogs. She sent pictures or an update every day. She even let Toby sleep with her. I knew she loved dogs the moment we met her as she bent down and gave attention to them right away. We will definately leave our pups with her again.”

“Carissa took great care of our fur baby. She sent updates frequently. She was extremely accommodating even though I got confused with the schedule. Our puppy was well cared for. I will definitely book again.”

“Jorge and family were absolutely wonderful to our two dogs. They sent plenty of photos while we were gone, and generally treated them like family. I would absolutely recommend them to watch over your beloved pets!!”

“Our dog Brody enjoys staying at Patsy's! Patsy is super reliable and takes great care of him! We can relax and not worry about him while we are away. She also sends us the cutest photo updates! We highly recommend Patsy!”

“Can we give 10 stars?? Lori and Matt are truly pupper peoples. We feel blessed to have found them. Honey (their pupper), Lori and Matt made us all feel welcome and cared for. We received an update and pupper pic each morning and evening. Jazzy had only been with a sitter one other time and a after a week when we picked her up she was completely at ease. We will definitely rebook with Lori M in the future. SUPER STAR SITTER!!”

“Mak had a wonderful time!!! Scott and Angel kept us updated with pics throughout every day. Thank you so much for watching our baby. We will definitely reach out to watch him during our next trip. 💕”

“Victoria was great! She was super helpful and flexible when we needed a last minute sitter for our boy Blue. He was well taken care of and had lots of fun. Victoria is super responsive and made our dog feel at home.”

About: I love dogs personally and have had over ten years of dog sitting and walking as well as training through out my life. I possess skills and experiences with caring for and training puppies and younger dogs and have raised over 7 puppies myself so I am quite used to caring for pets that are learning and growing as well as potty training experience. I as well have experience caring for older and senior dogs which might need more attention and care and have had prior experience as well with my own senior dogs, so I am used to working with pets which have joint or mobility issues. I am also accustomed to caring for pets which have species need or requirements, such as taking care of very medicated animals and pets which anxiety and fear. I also have taken care of many different animals through out my life, having been raised working and volunteering at animal shelters, farms, and non profits. I am currently a student at a local college close by, so I am very available throughout the week and weekends for caring for your pets or any last minute needs or stays. I am easily able to adapt to your fur babies schedule and routine in your home making them feel as comfortable as possible. Giving care such as walks or play times for their daily exercise and comfort as well as drop by visits through out the day when ever is needed for feeding and bath room time or even just hanging out with your fur baby so they are not lonely.

This was the first time we have left our Irish doodle with anyone besides family so we were a little nervous but Melissa and her family did such a wonderful job with our girl! She communicated well, answered all our questions, and sent lots of pictures. For that, we are so grateful! Macie returned to us happy and we could tell she had the best time there. Thank you Melissa and Uncle Sean for taking such good care of her!
Casey looked out for me on short notice over Easter weekend. I was new to the app and traveling on the road. From the minute, we arrived until we picked him up the next day I can’t imagine anyone looking out for my dog in a better way. The outdoor area for the dogs to get loose was beautiful. The grounds were immaculate. Casey couldn’t have been friendlier. I even got a bonus beach dog walk. Thank you for taking care of our dog!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
