“Ichly was the ABSOLUTE BEST! Right away you can tell she cares for your pet like it’s her own! She gave us daily updates and sent so many fun and cute videos/pics of the things they did together. I wholeheartedly trust her with my pets and would recommend her time and time again! Thank you Ichly!!!!”

“Carla and her husband were fantastic. They had us over prior to the first stay so we and Johnny were more comfortable, which was fantastic. I love their laid back vibe with having him over, letting him run around and take everything in as he needed to. I was at peace and ease on our vacation knowing he was being loved and cared for. Thank you Carla!”

“We had an excellent experience leaving our dog with Katelynn for the weekend! It was obvious that she loves dogs and made Toby feel comfortable in her house. He is diabetic and Katelynn was amazing for keeping to his routine. It is such a relief when you find someone who is willing to care for a dog with extra medical needs. We would definitely book with her again!!”

“Tim, Crystal and family did a wonderful job of taking care of our baby. They sent lots of pictures throughout the week. That took him on car rides and to the park. He was very spoiled. I highly recommend them to anyone.”

“Maria was just wonderful and I would recommend her to anyone. She had my boy for a week and took the best care of him. I was at ease during my travels knowing that he was in good hands. Best boarding experience ever for my pup.”

“Was wonderful with our puppy and even helped us out last minute. Overall a great experience and sent us lots of pictures. Will definitely use again when in the Orlando area!”

“Lori did an excellent job watching my girl. She has a lovely, fenced yard. Torben played with the neighbor dog and went out on her boat to explore the islands! She was on vacation at Lori’s!”

“My dogs always have a great time with Patsy. She loves them and cares for them like they're her own. My senior dog takes multiple medications and requires extra care, and Patsy has the experience and huge heart to care for even the most fragile, older dog like mine. She is wonderful! Thanks, Patsy! :)”
“Paul saved us taking our dog Thunder on such short notice. He gave Thunder lots of love and care, sending pictures throughout everyday. He made it possible for our trip to be enjoyed and free of worries. We definitely recommend Paul to watch your fur babies!”

“Andrea is absolutely amazing! She accommodated our last minute get away and was super flexible with our time and delays. Peanut loves to go stay for her doggie vaca. Thank you for always taking such great care of our fur baby.”

“She’s absolutely the best! Don’t get me wrong — all the dog sitters I’ve had through Rover have been amazing, but she’s definitely my favorite. I’ll absolutely be rebooking with her!.”

“Our cat, Penny was very well cared for by Carissa! He was happy keeping his same routine and Carissa was very willing to provide all he needed. I would not hesitate to use Carissa again!”

“Savanna was great with my dog, Joule. She was super easy to communicate with and made everything feel really simple and smooth. I felt comfortable leaving Joule with her right away. Joule came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. It’s obvious she got lots of attention and playtime while I was gone. I’d happily recommend Savanna to anyone looking for a kind, dependable sitter!”

About: I fortunately have 6+ years experience working in the veterinary field and I’ve also been pet sitting for 10 years, for close friends, family, neighbors, and colleagues of mine. I can take care of special needs pets, giving oral or injectable medications and changing diapers or applying creams. I got you covered! I’m currently part-time at my job so I have ample time for play dates, walks, sleep overs, whatever your pet care needs may be! I have a large fenced in yard, treats for both dogs and cats, toys for both dogs and cats, and a medium size crate if needed I can provide for those of our furry friends who are crate trained.
“Dominique is a great dog sitter! She really gave our dog Clyde a wonderful stay at her house with lots of attention, exercise and treats. Couldn’t ask for a better experience.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Cocoa
Susanna takes great care of our Golden Retriever, Stella. Susanna only takes on one client at a time which I appreciate since Stella wants to be part of a friendly pack, but the coming and going of strange dogs would be disruptive and anxiety-provoking. I appreciate Susanna’s willingness to hold the boundary of one visiting (or reconnoitering) dog at a time, which set my mind at ease.

Best first experience with Rover! Amanda was incredible with our girl Aurora and I could tell from the updates that she was having a fantastic time staying with Amanda and her sweet family. She was so well cared for and it put my heart at ease to know we could get away for a cruise and know Aurora was in good hands. I happily recommend Amanda for anyone looking for a fantastic dog sitter! We'd love to have her sit for us again on our next trip!

Priya is an amazing sitter and took excellent care of my Pug! She is kind and professional, and made sure Matias was comfortable right from the start. The communication was great and she kept me updated throughout the stay. Highly recommend bringing any pet to Priya and I look forward to seeing her again! Thanks!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
