“Amazing amazing amazing!!! We will be re booking everytime with Carla! My dog had the best time and enjoyed every second of his visit! I am so thankful to find a loving and kind family to watch our boy!”

“Mark and his wife were so kind and took care of Ozzy "our senior dog" for 2 days at their home. We really appreciate it. My dog came home happy and healthy . I highly recommend this boarding service to anyone looking for a safe, loving place for their pet!”

“Let me start by saying that in addition to this being my first Rover experience, this was the first time my 11 year old Chloe had ever stayed away from home. While Chloe loves people, she is not dog-friendly, so boarding her has never been an option. Anytime we wanted to go away, we would try to coax family members or friends to come and stay at the house, which is never easy. Desperate for a solution, we came across Rover, and met the two most wonderful people. I am so grateful for Susan and her daughter. First of all, they had no prejudice against my sweet pit-mix, and were more than happy to schedule a meet and greet with us. From the moment I met them, I knew they would be the perfect fit for my anxious girl. Susan is so sweet, calm, and understanding. She listened to all my concerns and fears, and put me (and Chloe) right at ease. Her daughter is just as wonderful. She is so mature, well-behaved, and well-mannered. I had no doubt that Chloe would be in the best hands. We scheduled a one-night trial run, just to see how Chloe would handle being away from home. Everything between the drop-off and pick-up went flawlessly. I really appreciated the communication and pictures throughout the day, which helped alleviate my worries, and made me feel more relaxed knowing that she was being well-taken care of. Chloe was able to settle in with them nicely, and the stay was a success. Susan has been so comforting and reassuring throughout this entire process. I will definitely be booking with her again soon. I am so blessed to have found such wonderful, caring people.”

“Amanda is just wonderful! Great communicator, dayly pictures and updates. My kitties felt at home very quickly, and came home non stressed! Thank you Amanda and family you were wonderful! :)”

“Nancy was fantastic. Very flexible on drop off and pickup. Sent us pictures of Charlie the wonder pub every day. Very detailed in communication before and during the visit so we were put at ease. I think he was sad to leave cause he might have liked her better than us :-)”

“Casey was awesome! Yoda and Rowlfie loved staying in her lovely home! She took great care of them and sent lots of pictures so I knew they were having a great time and being well cared for! Would definitely book with Casey again!”
“Olivia and family were terrific watching our Sully. Lots of picture updates and overall well being of him while he spent his time with Olivia and her family. Sully got lots of walks and attention. Overall great experience having Sully stay with her.”

“Paul was excellent with my yellow lab. Lots of pictures, walks, belly rubs, and you can tell he really cares about animals. My dog settled in quickly and looking forward to our next stay”
“We had a great experience! She was kind, accommodating, and easy to communicate with. She kept us updated with messages and photos. Our dog was well cared for, and we could tell he was in good hands. We will definitely be rebooking and highly recommend her!”

“We are in love with Dominique. She it’s so intuitive and professional. Our Mylo it’s not the easiest dog but she knew how to create rapport with him and now when he sees her he wiggles. That is an amazing feeling. She keeps you posted with updates and shows an amazing ability to know the your dog. Definitely a person to trust.”

“Ichly was the ABSOLUTE BEST! Right away you can tell she cares for your pet like it’s her own! She gave us daily updates and sent so many fun and cute videos/pics of the things they did together. I wholeheartedly trust her with my pets and would recommend her time and time again! Thank you Ichly!!!!”

“Priya is an amazing sitter and took excellent care of my Pug! She is kind and professional, and made sure Matias was comfortable right from the start. The communication was great and she kept me updated throughout the stay. Highly recommend bringing any pet to Priya and I look forward to seeing her again! Thanks!!”

“Carissa took great care of our fur baby. She sent updates frequently. She was extremely accommodating even though I got confused with the schedule. Our puppy was well cared for. I will definitely book again.”

“Cassandra took excellent care of Bella for us with consistent updates letting us know how she was doing. I'll definitely be looking forward to having her watch Bella for me in the future.”

“Sylvia was amazing while boarding our dogs. She provided updates and pictures on a regular basis. It was a great piece of mind to know they were well taken care of while we were away. They loved her and had so much fun during their stay. They can't wait to stay over again.”

“We had a fantastic experience with Dee! From the very beginning, Dee was professional, caring, and attentive to Denver’s needs. She provided regular updates, including pictures and videos of Denver playing with his new friends, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. Denver was happy, well cared for, and clearly comfortable with Dee. It’s clear that Dee truly loves animals. I highly recommend Dee to anyone looking for a reliable and loving pet sitter. Thank you again Dee for a wonderful first time experience using Rover and for your amazing care for my pup! 😊”

“This is our first time ever leaving our pets with pet sitters other than our family….and we feel blessed that it was with this family! Everything about this experience was GREAT! The list is long of the wonderful stay this family was for Bourke. From meeting them to see if our pup would be a good fit, dropping him off early morning and most importantly his stay…. they provided updates and lots of pictures, they played with him and included him in family activities like we do, replied to my texts and communication was great, gave him a bath and had all his stuff ready at pick up! Jessica and family, thank you so much for allowing Bourke to be in your home! We feel blessed that we found such kind and beautiful family to care for our dog. We hope to see you again and Bourke does too! 💛”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Cape Canaveral
I was in Cape Canaveral and did a last minute request to Dezarea to watch my dog for the day so I could go to the Kennedy Space Center! She responded right away and was so welcoming and accommodating with a clean lovely home and her own dog who played with mine. That was my first Rover experience and I am now even more confident of using Rover and grateful to Dezarae for her care and attention!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
