“Our dogs usually travel with us and since they were unable to cruise with us, this was our first time boarding them. Susan took the most excellent care of Wally and June. She and her daughter were extra loving and sent daily updates with photos which made our vacation as relaxing as possible. Even though this was our first time boarding, Susan made us feel comfortable because she was/is so loving, genuinely kind and attentive to our furbabies. Our older dog, Wally can be emotional and stubborn at times with eating. Susan went above and beyond to ensure Wally ate, and she also sent updates on Wally’s eating patterns. We highly recommend Susan and will certainly book again. Thanks again, Susan for taking such great care of Wally and June. We appreciate you!”

“Super helpful and went out of his way to help me with Noni while I had an injured knee. You can tell he loved and cared for her like his own. Plus, his other dogs wore her out in the best way.”

“Nancy took wonderful care of Boddie for us. She has a fenced in backyard which Boddie loved. He has lots of energy and loves to run. Lots of pictures were sent to me which I so appreciated because I missed my little one. Boddie loved playing with Nancy's Beagle and Golden Retriever. I highly recommend her and I would use her again!”

“Sylvia was great! She has a big backyard and plenty of beds and couches for the dogs. The dogs had a great time staying with her for the weekend and we would definitely recommend her to others.”

“Priya is an amazing sitter and took excellent care of my Pug! She is kind and professional, and made sure Matias was comfortable right from the start. The communication was great and she kept me updated throughout the stay. Highly recommend bringing any pet to Priya and I look forward to seeing her again! Thanks!!”

“My first time using Rover was a wonderful experience. Even though my tiny Morkie has separation anxiety he appeared to have been quite comfortable at Andrea’s house and I felt comfortable too, getting updates with pictures regularly over the weekend we were traveling. I would definitely use Andrea again if the situation arises where we need to board our dog while we are away from home.”
“They were great! Very clean and loving home. Their dogs are so sweet, and were incredibly friendly with mine right away. They took him for walks every day. I knew they were the right choice the moment we got there and my dog was immediately wagging his tail meeting everyone. I highly recommend Casey”

“Dominique was absolutely amazing with Luna!!! We cannot thank her enough. Dominque is very loving and caring - Luna received lots of attention and walks. The updates and pictures we received regularly let us know how much fun Luna was having while we were gone. I would give 10 stars if I could. Thank you so much Dominique!!!”

About: Hi! I'm Dorothy. I've always loved animals, but I've definitely become a cat person over the years. I love getting to know each cat's personality and letting them warm up to me at their own pace. Some want to play, some want to chat, and some are happiest just having a quiet person nearby—and I'm happy with all of the above. I also enjoy dog walks and drop-in visits. Spending time with animals is one of my favorite ways to unwind after work, and I love getting outside with an excited pup. Pet sitting has become a family business for us. My two teenage daughters work with me, and I love that we've been able to build something together. My oldest is 17 and has her own repeat clients, and my youngest is 15 and helps with visits and walks. Depending on schedules, you may meet one of them too. We all genuinely enjoy caring for animals, and I wouldn't trust just anyone with my clients' pets. This year we said goodbye to my sweet Shih Tzu, Gizmo, and I still think about him often. These days our house is ruled by six cats (ranging from kittens to seniors) and my youngest daughter's adorable Shih Tzu puppy, who keeps us all entertained. While I still offer boarding occasionally if it's the right fit, these days I mostly focus on cat visits, dog walks, and drop-in care. Thanks for stopping by my profile. I hope I get the chance to meet you and your pets. *Grey Cat Pet Care is our small, family-run pet sitting business on Florida's Space Coast.* Pet care is our full-time passion and a total family affair! Because my daughters and I manage our schedule together, someone is almost always home to provide love, supervision, and companionship. Our days are naturally structured around pet care—from morning yard play and neighborhood walks to afternoon cat snuggles and evening wind-down time. Your pet will seamlessly blend into our daily routine and never be short on attention or affection. Safety is our absolute top priority. When boarding in our home, dogs have full access to a spacious, completely secure, and fenced yard for supervised playtime. We introduce new dogs slowly and carefully to our puppy and five cats. Whether in our home or yours, we closely follow your specific feeding, medical, and crate routines. Our experience with shelter cats and rescue dogs means we are experts at reading animal body language to ensure every pet feels safe, relaxed, and secure.

“Carissa and her son stayed at our condo this past weekend and watched our puppy, Schuyler. Carissa did an amazing job! She was punctual, communicated with us (as needed), and left our house looking great. I know our puppy can be a handful, and Carissa and her son were great with Schuyler. I will definitely be booking Carissa in the future.”

“Olivia kept our pup happy and calmed/relieved his anxiety of us being away! She was communicative and flexible as our timing shifted. It’s nice to know that she shares a fondness for our dog even with his messy drool and quirky personality!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Cape Canaveral
I was in Cape Canaveral and did a last minute request to Dezarea to watch my dog for the day so I could go to the Kennedy Space Center! She responded right away and was so welcoming and accommodating with a clean lovely home and her own dog who played with mine. That was my first Rover experience and I am now even more confident of using Rover and grateful to Dezarae for her care and attention!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
