About: Social animal lover, small dog owner, experienced pet caregiver, and current rescue volunteer, I provide dependable, compassionate care for pets of all personalities and needs. I understand that pets are family, and I treat each one with patience, attentiveness, and genuine affection so they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. My two-hour visits are structured as drop-ins tailored to your pet’s routine and can include feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and companionship. My goal is always to reduce stress for both pets and owners by providing calm, consistent care you can trust. (Service radius 4-5m) I also offer in-home (my home) boarding on a limited basis when it’s the right fit for your pet. My home is in a quiet community with a fenced yard, and I focus on creating a peaceful, comforting environment where animals can relax and feel secure. I’m unable to offer housesitting in your home at this time. My bond with animals began early in life and has stayed with me ever since. From caring for cats and dogs of my own to volunteering with local shelters. If you’re looking for someone responsible, nurturing, and truly devoted to animals, I would be honored to care for your pet like family. Retired and available to love up all the furry friends. I have a reliable vehicle. I also have a pet booster seat for the smaller pets, recognizing the importance of their inability to have the same view as the larger dogs. Did you know? Small dogs can get vertigo in the back seat or in a lower view? It’s true! Looking forward to meeting your furry loves. Caring for pets in a client’s home is a very trusting requirement I do not take lightly. Every client deserves their furry child cared for and overall expectations for their sweet furry child exceptional. Every pet is unique in their wants and needs are important, getting to know pet parents helps aid in visual cues by both the owner and the pet upon that first meeting as well as interactions thereafter. I am also a pet portrait photographer and if your pet is photographed I will offer this as a complementary service to my current availability. I care for my pets very seriously. I have one dog who was rescued from a puppy mill, who is a special-needs pet and does require Special food due to allergies and has enjoyed a life of love, affection, medical care, compassion, and kindness throughout his 11 years. I have a lovely fenced in yard that allows for the furry friends to relax, play or nap in the shade. I have multiple pet beds and bowls available.
“He’s the best, grateful he’s been available to watch my pups when I travel. My dogs love their visits, which means the world to me. Also appreciate his flexibility for my chaotic schedule.”

“Debbie took wonderful care of Sunny while we were away. Sunny can be timid and anxious in new environments, but Debbie was incredibly patient, calm, and clearly experienced. She followed our instructions carefully, especially around keeping Sunny secure, and really respected her need for space to settle in. That made all the difference. We especially appreciated Debbie’s communication and updates, which gave us real peace of mind while we were away. The photos she sent were the best, Sunny was actually smiling, which says everything about how comfortable she felt. It’s not easy leaving a dog like Sunny, but we truly felt she was in good hands. We’re very grateful and would absolutely trust Debbie with Sunny again.”

“Anthony took care of our fur baby while we were on vacation for 11 days. He was communicative, kept us informed with messages and photos. The dog was well taken care of, and happy. Thank you Anthnoy.”

“She was amazing for it being short notice. She sent us plenty of pictures and even bathed Colt while she had him. I would definitely recommend her, and most definitely will use her as our go-to sitter.”

About: I fortunately have 6+ years experience working in the veterinary field and I’ve also been pet sitting for 10 years, for close friends, family, neighbors, and colleagues of mine. I can take care of special needs pets, giving oral or injectable medications and changing diapers or applying creams. I got you covered! I’m currently part-time at my job so I have ample time for play dates, walks, sleep overs, whatever your pet care needs may be! I have a large fenced in yard, treats for both dogs and cats, toys for both dogs and cats, and a medium size crate if needed I can provide for those of our furry friends who are crate trained.
“Very happy and satisfied with the care she gave my pet. I would recommend her to anyone whose is looking for a really good pet caregiver. I will use her services again in the near future.”

“Susan and her daughter did a great job taking care of our dog, Nala. She listened to my concerns about Nala being somewhat of an escape artist and took them to heart. She kept a watchful eye and gave daily updates. I felt relieved knowing my dog is in such good hands. Sounds like she had a fun time, too. Thanks to you both! Would definitely board with you again.”

About: I have had dogs a great deal of my life. I am just starting this service but have taken care of dogs from my church. I am a retired teacher usually available after 9 a.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. Depending on my schedule i have other days available. I take my dog to the dog park at 7 a.m. looking for a part time job for a few hours a day but want to be home most of the day as i am now. I have a fenced in yard and a 45 pound female sheepadoodle to keep your baby furry company. There are many toys for them to play with during their stay.
“Sylvia and her home is dedicated to caring for dogs, Sylvia is lovely and caring. Our older dogs loved being there and our trip was worry free! Would definelty use her again!”

“This was my first time with a dog sitter ever and Vanessa could not have been a better experience. She was caring, made sure he got his medications/special diet, and was able to provide care to him to us hard to find. Strongly recommend for your loved one :) Thanks Vanessa :)”

“Lori did an excellent job watching my girl. She has a lovely, fenced yard. Torben played with the neighbor dog and went out on her boat to explore the islands! She was on vacation at Lori’s!”

“Overall great experience. From the meet and greet to the actual stay. April and her husband showed they care about dogs and I feel comfortable leaving my pet with them again without hesitation.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
