“I am so glad I chose Laura to watch my dog on my four day family trip. I had never left my girl with anyone other than family members before, and had no idea what to expect, and it ended up being so simple and more than just pleasant for myself and my furbaby. She was given the best treatment, was treated like my family treats her, maybe even better for those four days, and I got updates with pictures and videos everyday, which was so nice since I am a self proclaimed obsessive dog mom. I never had to worry from the start because Laura was so communicative. She got tons of walks and treats, was allowed to live in her house as apart of their home/family for that time, and quickly got comfortable, likely because of the welcoming calming energy Laura and her home has. My girl is well behaved but I know that Laura actively prevented any anxiety to the best of her ability which guaranteed her best behavior. I would choose Laura in a heartbeat to watch my dog again for any and all future trips! My Moon came home to me and seemed so calm and happy, and planning all of this was a breeze and I know you will have the same experience. Thank you Laura and family!”

“Mark was great with our dog. He made Bentley feel right at home. Mark was great with communication and flexible with timing of drop off and pick up. Will definitely use him again.”

“Debbie did a wonderful job making my senior frenchie comfortable, happy and entertained for the afternoon while I went to visit the space center. I recieved photos throughout the afternoon showing my babies fun afternoon which helped make my adventures even more enjoyable, not worrying about her.”

“Susan and her daughter did a great job taking care of our dog, Nala. She listened to my concerns about Nala being somewhat of an escape artist and took them to heart. She kept a watchful eye and gave daily updates. I felt relieved knowing my dog is in such good hands. Sounds like she had a fun time, too. Thanks to you both! Would definitely board with you again.”

I’m currently part-time at my job so I have ample time for play dates, walks, sleep overs, whatever your pet care needs may be! I have a large fenced in yard, treats for both dogs and cats, toys for both dogs and cats, and a medium size crate if needed I can provide for those of our furry friends who are crate trained.
“I have never left our dogs with anyone other than family. My pugs were well cared for during their stay and Nytza was very responsive and caring, sending some pics and letting me know they were alright. Appreciate the into and will definitely ask for her assistance in the future! Thank you, Nytza!”

“Vanessa was excellent with Onyx. Onyx immediately felt at home and Vanessa kept us informed throughout her stay. I like how Vanessa keeps the dogs separated to prevent any possible conflicts. We will utilize Vanessa’s services again!”

“Thank you, as always! Our pups LOVE Lori and her family (especially Honey pup 🍯)! We know we don’t have to worry about anything when they are with her! The photo updates showing them playing and having fun are amazing. Thank you, again!”

“Our dog Nola loved staying with Christine! Her and Tiffani became best buds too! Christine went above and beyond to make sure Nola was taken care of and you can really tell her love for animals. We were gone 9 days and never had to worry about our pup. Would highly recommend her to anyone!”

“We couldn't have been more pleased with our dog's first experience away from us for an extended period of time. Pat took wonderful care of Polly for a week and a half. From the moment we met Pat, we felt so comfortable with her and the way she interacted with Polly. While we were away, Pat sent photos and videos so we could see that Polly had settled in nicely. Polly loved Pat's back yard and had so much fun playing with another dog her size. Thank you, Pat. We'll be booking again soon!!”

“Savanna was great with my dog, Joule. She was super easy to communicate with and made everything feel really simple and smooth. I felt comfortable leaving Joule with her right away. Joule came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. It’s obvious she got lots of attention and playtime while I was gone. I’d happily recommend Savanna to anyone looking for a kind, dependable sitter!”

“We couldn’t be happier with the care Ryder received! From the start, it was clear that Paul truly loves animals and treated Ryder like family. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
