“Anthony cared for my greyhound and GSD with drop in visits for a whole week and I have nothing but good things to say! Great communication, lots of pictures, and made me feel very comfortable. I will be booking with Anthony again!”

About: I have four dogs ranging from small to large. I got my first dog in 2018 and added on since. I’ve spent a lot of time training my dogs teaching them commands, going on walks and finding activities that are exercising their minds. I have two bunnies as well, if you know anything about bunnies, you know that they can sometimes be a lot of work. I wouldn’t change it for the world. I love all of my animals and I will love yours just as much as mine. I currently stay at home as I am focusing on college. This allows me to care for myself, my pets, and now your pets. I am available all hours of the day, for walking or drop in visits with your furry friends! I do not personally have pets that come to my house since I do have dogs and bunnies of my own. In your home I believe dogs are more comfortable in their own environment. Any instruction you give me on how to take care of your pet is going to be strictly followed. Every pet that I care for will get love will get enriching activities will get exercise taken on walks food and water, which is all very bare minimum for pet sitter.
“Caitlyn saved our 4th of July trip and made sure Nova didn't feel alone while we were gone. Walks daily, always updated if she ate or went potty. It made me feel so much better for my 1st time hiring a dog sitter.”

“Priya was very attentive and sent lots of updates, photos, and videos of our pets. She sent detailed updates with every drop in. She kept an eye on our home for us too. I would highly recommend her!”
“Bethany was fantastic! My cat and I recently made a cross-country move and leaving her alone in a new place for a week made me so anxious (probably more anxious than the cat was). Bethany made sure Mimi had everything she needed and sent me daily updates. 💜”

“Just wanted to let those that are looking for a a dependable, caring, personable lady to watch over your family members (kitties)while you're doing whatever you need to do and not have to worry about them, then Chrystal is the perfect person! Thanks you Chrystal for taking care of them,I won't hesitate to do it again. Duane R.”

“Megan was amazing with our pup. We had her stop by our home a few times a day to check on our 8 week old puppy. She was attentive, caring, and went about and behind to make sure our baby was well taken care of. She fed, played with and even bathed him when he had an accident in his crate. We could not be happier with the level of care she provided to Ares. I highly recommend Megan to anyone looking for a dog sitter. Thank you Megan!”

About: I fortunately have 6+ years experience working in the veterinary field and I’ve also been pet sitting for 10 years, for close friends, family, neighbors, and colleagues of mine. I can take care of special needs pets, giving oral or injectable medications and changing diapers or applying creams. I got you covered! I’m currently part-time at my job so I have ample time for play dates, walks, sleep overs, whatever your pet care needs may be! I have a large fenced in yard, treats for both dogs and cats, toys for both dogs and cats, and a medium size crate if needed I can provide for those of our furry friends who are crate trained.
“Absolutely amazing! I booked Katie last minute after my original dog sitter cancelled the day I was to leave town. She was always prompt and took genuine care. She did more than expected and clearly has a love for animals. Her communication was superb, and responded in a prompt manner when I messaged her both setting up the checkins and during.”

About: Hi, I'm Lorraine! Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I'm currently a proud pet mom to Winston, my loyal 8-year-old Chocolate Labrador; Bear, his mischievous 8-month-old Mini Dachshund brother; Sam, our curious 9-month-old cat; Theodore, our sweet 6-year-old bunny; and Tito, our 9-year-old feisty Green-Cheek Conure. Over the years, I've been fortunate to love many wonderful pets. I raised our beloved mastiff mix Bruno, from puppyhood through his senior years until he crossed the Rainbow Bridge at 16 years old. I've also cared for our two cats, Dolly and Mowgli, from kittens into adulthood. Beyond cats and dogs, I have hands-on experience caring for bunnies, hamsters, lizards, and birds, including my beautiful Blue Quaker Parrot, Mr. Grumbles. Most recently, I enjoyed running a small homestead where I cared for 25 chickens and 2 roosters, along with 22 hand-raised cheeky ducks. When you entrust your pets to my care, you can have complete peace of mind knowing they'll be treated with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own family pets. Whether it's a walk, drop-in visit, or overnight stay, I'll make sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you're away. Communication is important to me, so you'll receive regular updates and plenty of photos to help you feel connected to your furry (or feathered!) family members. Before any booking, I'd love to arrange a meet-and-greet so we can get to know each other, discuss your pet's routine and individual needs, and ensure their vacation is just as enjoyable as yours! Pet care is naturally woven into my daily routine because I care for my own pets every day. My mornings begin with feeding, walks, fresh water, cleaning litter trays and cages, and making sure everyone gets the attention they need before I start my day. Throughout the day, I make time for potty breaks, playtime, enrichment, and plenty of affection, with usually an hour-long evening walks, feeding, and bedtime routines to finish the day. When I'm caring for your pet, I make them part of my routine too. I carefully follow their normal schedule to help them feel comfortable and secure while you're away, ensuring they receive the same love, patience, and attentive care that I give my own pets When dogs stay in my home, they'll be welcomed into a safe, loving environment alongside my two friendly, well-mannered dogs. I have a securely fenced backyard where they can enjoy supervised playtime, explore, and relax on the shaded porch. Daily exercise is an important part of our routine, so I walk my dogs twice a day through my gated community, always on a leash for their safety. For puppies and younger dogs who are still learning, I'm happy to reinforce basic commands and good manners using positive, consistent encouragement. I always follow your preferred routines and training methods to help maintain consistency. For drop-in visits, I like to schedule a meet-and-greet beforehand so I can get to know you, your pet, and their normal routine. This gives us an opportunity to discuss feeding schedules, walks, medications, favorite activities, and any special instructions, ensuring your pet receives personalized care while you're away. Throughout each visit, I'll provide plenty of love, attention, and regular photo updates so you can have complete peace of mind.

“My Yorkie is a rescue and he has stress/anxiety and separation issues. I had him only a few months when I began having Sarilyne coming to my house while I was working. Sarilyne was able to establish trust and security to my dog immediately. She is a very sweet, kind and patient and punctual person who I trust to come into my home to care for dog.”

About: I’ve been a zookeeper for 8 years so I’m comfortable caring for all kinds of animals, big or small. Cats are my specialty. I currently have open availability for all my services. I can do mornings, afternoons and evenings. I can be pretty flexible with my schedule as well. I treat all animals as if they are my own. With my years of experience in animal care, I do great at reading dog and cat behavior and can respond appropriately in situations.
“Ariana was great! She was very reliable and followed all of my requests. My pets have a pretty tight routine and she was able to keep it perfectly. She was also very in tune with my dog. She could tell that he didn’t want to walk too far from home and let him do his walk where he could still see our house! This is something I knew about him, but totally forgot to mention to her. She just picked right up on it. Will definitely use her again.”

About: I grew up on 6 acres of land caring for virtually every type of pet you could imagine for the first 15 years of my life. I even started a YouTube channel when I was 13 years old and accumulated 41k followers and over 26 million views, just by sharing my love and compassion for animals! I currently have 3 dogs, 3 cats, a snake, and a bird and would love to help you and your fur babies in your time/s of need. I cannot do overnight housesitting at this time, but I can spend the days at your home if you need :) I currently stay home during the day with my sweet, gentle, animal-loving 1-year-old girl, and only work 3 days a week for a few hours. When I’m not home, my boyfriend is so we have all the time in the world to give your fur babies the time and attention they need and deserve! I am an above-and-beyond type of sitter, not just an ‘only what is in the job description’. I want to give the type of care that I would want my own fur babies to receive!

About: I’ve cared for all animals big and small for as long as I can remember. Growing up my mom worked for the SPCA of Brevard and we had over 13 cats, an iguana, a tarantula and a pit mix. I specialized in animal body language courses during my time volunteering at the SPCA. l fostered and trained blind, deaf and non-dog friendly pups, learned how to administer medication on dogs and cats, walked intake doggos and helped during feedings. My first job out of high school was dog grooming so I have plenty of experience in washing, drying and checking for any injuries and for ticks and flees. I love every pet as if they were my own and can’t wait to meet yours! I work bartending nights during the week 5pm-2am and I am off during Monday, Tuesdays and Friday’s, I am always able to bring fur babies to work if needed! I have a fenced in back yard, a 3 yr old husky to keep your pup entertained as well as a dog friendly work environment! Our home has crates and plenty of space for separate feedings and time apart if you pup gets easily anxious! We allow our dog on our couches/beds so we are always open for extra cuddles!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Merritt Island. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
