“Ava went above any expectations I had while caring for my two pomskys one being a baby that is potty training and learning that biting isn’t nice. She picked up and cleaned that I hadn’t even asked of her.”

“She is an absolutely wonderful pet sitter! Not only did she take excellent care of Sunny, but she also went above and beyond to give attention and love to all of my pets. She was incredibly understanding and patient with my dog, who had recently undergone surgery, and she made sure to administer her medications exactly as needed. It was clear from the beginning that she genuinely cares about animals and treats them as if they were her own. Knowing that my pets were in such caring and trustworthy hands gave me so much peace of mind. Without a doubt, she will be my first choice whenever I need someone to care for my pets. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone responsible, loving, and truly dedicated to their pets!”

“Erika provided 12 days of care, twice daily to our two cats. It was so nice to come home to see them happy, healthy and well cared for in our absence. I highly recommend Erika. She provided daily medication to our one cat and successfully separated meals for each cat. They received significant play time and we received many fun photos. We hope that Erika will be available when we have future pet care needs.”

About: I’ve taken care of my friends and family’s pets since I was in high school. I’m very responsible and am a calm presence around dogs. I pay attention to their energy and am intuitive about their needs. I have house sat and cared for dogs, cats, horses, cows, and chickens. I love animals and will make sure your furry friend is cared for and loved. I’m known for being responsible so that pet parents can rest easy knowing their pets are in good hands when they’re with me. I work from home full time, so if you need someone to keep your pet company during the day, let me know! I live in a house with a fenced in yard and a screened in pool that has an additional child protection gate if needed. Here’s what some of my clients have said about my work with pets: “Kenzi was made to care for animals! She is incredibly patient and gentle. Very aware of things happening around her. My dogs love when Kenzi comes around and I never have to worry, I know that they will be cared for as if I were there with them. She is a fabulous find!” -Eliza “Kenzi has been a house sitter for me for several times over the last few years. She has been responsible for taking care of my 2 horses, 2 dogs, and 1 cat. When I come home it’s like I just left, everyone is happy and healthy! She will make a great caregiver for anyone’s fur babies, whether well refined or rough around the edges like mine!” -Roberta I currently work from home and have a relatively flexible schedule, so I’d be happy to help with your pet needs. Detailed schedule tbd, but when I tell someone I’m going to be there, I follow through. I’m very responsible and respect the time of others, so I honor my commitments and make sure to follow through if I agree to something. In my home, I’m a remote worker, so I have the time and flexibility to make sure your pet is well taken care of. If your pet joins us, they will well taken care of in an air conditioned and quiet home in a safe neighborhood. I have a fenced in yard too so I can take them out to play and take potty breaks throughout the day. If your pet needs more attention and cuddles, I’m able to give them that attention during my work day so they feel safe and loved. In your house, I am respectful of your space and your pet’s routine. I make sure to leave a place as clean as when I arrived, and I will be a calm and reassuring presence for your pet so they feel safe and loved while you’re away. You can rest assured knowing your pet is in good hands.
“Olivia did a wonderful job checking in on my two cats while I was away on a trip. She provided updates and pictures whenever she stopped by. I would 100% recommend her to watch my friend’s fur babies as well!”

“Alexander took great care of my Sadie while I was out of town for almost a week. I could tell from the many photos taken at each check-in that she enjoyed her visits.”

“Sophia is AMAZING. We, the parents, didn’t meet her in person because we were out on a work trip and needed help last minute. Our dog had a mole that was in bad shape due to her licking on it, and Sophia took EXCELLENT care of her wound, was extremely careful, took pictures, and communicated with us all the time. She was sweet with our dog and patient while checking in on the wound and cleaning it and ensuring it was covered for the night. Our family members were taking care of our dog; they only speak Spanish, and Sophia managed to communicate and be super respectful and friendly with them too. Thank you, Sophia; you are an angel!”

“Michelle...took great care of our cat as usual while we were on a cruise. This is 2nd time we have had Michelle as our Cat sitter and we will continue to use her as we know our cat is in good hands! Our cat was calm and happy when we got home!”

ABOVE AND BEYOND! Alexander and Dorys are the most reliable, trustworthy, responsible, kind, loving and fun people that I have ever hired to care for my pets or my three children! I highly recommend hiring them if you want zero worries about your fur babies or your home. I could share two weeks' worth of daily examples of their great communication and execution of my list of tasks, but I will share just one: CHRISTMAS EVE. 5:30pm. Jones, our indoor/outdoor cat, wouldn't come home. The entire family was multiple states away, as were most of our friends and neighbors. Alexander and Dorys arrive a bit early to get Jones safely inside for the night, cleaned the box and food and water dishes, and were ready to play and cuddle for 30 minutes. (always sending me pics and updates.) They kept calling for him. Did the nightly routine: selected a good TV program for him, checked thermostat and garbage, and kept calling for him --- on Christmas Eve when they were on the way to their family gathering. They were communicating with me that Jones was not home, and I told them they should leave the cat door open and to go to dinner with their family. It was Christmas Eve! (And, Jones often doesn't come back home immediately when called.) I said the neighbor would keep an eye out. But, Alexander and Dorys didn't feel good about leaving Jones outside and didn't want me to worry. Instead of leaving him outside like I said to do, they tracked Jones' Airtag that I had shared previously. The lovely couple went throughout the neighborhood, calling him and shaking his treats until they found him two blocks away. Then, Jones didn't want to ride in the car. So, Dorys walked and carried Jones all the way back home. And, they still petted him and gave him his nightly catnip party! I will attach a pic of the walk home with Jones looking like he's clawing her arm, but she never said a single word about that. They were just happy to have found him and made sure my fur baby was safely home so I could have a worry-free Christmas Eve. I believe this single example of my experience with Alexander and Dorys is a real testament to the care they would give your pets. In addition, they also cared for my large 'high-maintainence' German Shepherd the week that he had leg surgery for new ACL, and Dorys sat on the couch beside him and read with him the entire night to ease his separation anxiety. Gave medication, treats, and took care of Jones' indoor/outdoor needs... Dr. Dog was the least anxious that I have ever seen him upon our return home. He was so happy and peaceful ... another testament to the connection they have with the animals. You can see it. They are animal people, truly kind, and the pets and I love them - you will, too! :) ( Most of all for me busy working and traveling with family, etc.... I like not worrying about anything, no matter what. They took care of everything that came up without me giving a second thought. Worth every penny for the peace of mind... everything taken care of... everyone is happy!)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
