Since 2016, I have gained professional experience through animal shelters, veterinary hospitals, and caring for pets for veterinary clients. I hold a degree in Animal Science from the University of Florida and have experience with pets of all ages, breeds, temperaments, and medical needs, including administering medications and injections. Whether I'm stopping by for a visit, taking your dog for a walk, or staying in your home, I treat every pet as if they were my own. I pride myself on excellent communication, following pet parent instructions carefully, and providing reliable, attentive care. My goal is to give you peace of mind while you're away and make sure your pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Caring for animals has always been a part of my daily life. I have owned animals my entire life, so animal care is naturally built into my routine. In addition to my personal experience, I have worked in veterinary medicine and animal welfare settings, giving me extensive hands-on experience with pets of all ages and needs. I work full-time Monday through Wednesday, but I can often adjust my schedule to accommodate pet visits depending on location. The remainder of my week offers greater flexibility for walks, drop-in visits, and house sitting. I carefully manage my schedule to ensure every pet receives the attention, exercise, and care they deserve. When caring for pets in a client's home, I strive to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I follow all feeding, exercise, medication, and household instructions carefully while providing plenty of attention, enrichment, and affection based on each pet's personality and preferences. I have experience caring for pets with medical needs, senior pets, puppies and kittens, and those with behavioral challenges. Communication is very important to me, so I provide updates, photos, and videos when requested. I also treat my clients' homes with the same respect I would my own. Before the end of a house-sitting stay, I typically wash any bedding and towels I used, clean up after myself, and leave the home tidy so clients can return to both happy pets and a well-cared-for home.

About: Animals have been a HUGE part of my life for over 10 years, both personally and professionally! My very first job was working at a doggy daycare before becoming a kennel technician at a veterinary clinic, where I gained a ton of experience caring for animals with all kinds of personalities and needs. Since then, I've done foster work within the Brevard community, taking in animals who needed a safe place to land. I have fostered 8 puppies (at once!), a few Great Danes, and most recently, our Black Lab, Bodie, who was initially a hospice foster due to his kidney disease, but after the rescue could not provide any more funding for his medical issues, we took matters into our own hands and he officially became a foster fail! Besides our most recent addition, Bodie, we have my first ever dog Kole who's now 8 years old, our 4-year-old Golden Retriever, Mac and two rescue cats, Abo and Rocky. But my love for animals goes far past just dogs and cats, I even had a Chinchilla and a Chinese Water Dragon! If there's one thing I understand, it's how hard it can be to trust someone with your animals. My pets mean the world to me, and I know how important it is to feel completely comfortable with the person caring for them. When your pets are in my care, I treat them like they’re my own, with patience, attention, and a BUNCH of love! My schedule is currently very flexible while I complete coursework online, so I have plenty of availability to care for your pets! I can easily work around different routines, schedules, and individual pet needs. I know how hard it can be to trust someone with your pets, so I take that seriously. I like to get to know each pet and their routine, including what they like, what they don’t like, and anything I should know before caring for them. Whether it’s a walk, a drop-in, or staying with them while you’re away, I want them to feel safe and comfortable. I’ll also always respect your home and your instructions, and of course I’ll send plenty of pictures and updates so you know your pets are doing good!

In addition to my personal experience as a lifelong dog owner, I spent a year working at a dog daycare and boarding facility, where I cared for dogs of various breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments. Through this experience, I developed skills in supervising group play, monitoring behavior, maintaining feeding and medication schedules, and ensuring that each dog received individualized attention and care. Working in a professional pet care environment taught me the importance of patience, reliability, and clear communication with pet owners. As a college student with a flexible schedule and a love for animals, I understand how important it is for owners to feel confident that their pets and homes are in trustworthy hands. My goal is to provide dependable, attentive care while maintaining your pet’s normal routine, creating a safe, comfortable, and stress-free experience for both you and your pets. I am a full time college student, going into my third year at Florida Tech, with a class schedule I can work around. I have classes four days a week, with a mix of morning and afternoon availability. Aside from being a student, I have a part-time job with flexible hours, so I can work out times around both schedules! For walks, sitting, and overnight stays, I focus on keeping pets comfortable, safe, and on their normal routine. I follow each owner’s instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, medication if needed, and any specific preferences or routines. During walks, I make sure pets get appropriate exercise while keeping them safe and supervised. For sitting and overnight stays, I provide plenty of attention, playtime, potty breaks, and companionship so pets feel comfortable while their owners are away. I also make sure the home is kept clean and secure and provide regular updates so owners can feel confident their pets are happy and well cared for.

I’m a third-year Biology student at UCF with a passion for animal care and conservation, and I’m excited to bring that passion to Rover! I have hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats through my own pets, volunteer work, and everyday animal handling. At home, I have my energetic French bulldog, Lola, and my wonderful cat, Popper. I also volunteer at a local animal shelter, where I help with cage cleanings, animal socialization, and dog walking. These experiences have taught me how important patience, attentiveness, and understanding each animal’s individual personality are. I’m comfortable caring for dogs and cats of different ages, sizes, and personalities. Whether your pet needs an energetic walk, some extra playtime, a calm companion, or simply someone to keep them company while you’re away, I’ll make sure they receive plenty of attention and care. Outside of Rover, I’m pursuing my Biology degree with an interest in continuing my education in veterinary sciences. Working with animals is something I genuinely enjoy, and I would love the opportunity to care for your pets as if they were my own. However, I am free every Saturday and Wednesday, so I'd be happy to stop in and care for your pets at any time on those days! We keep her in a doggie diaper when inside. she also needs to be lifted up and down so no jumping, stairs, etc. Lyris did an excellent job. she arrived on time, displayed a true caring attitude towards both our pets and us.
