“Sophia was so great with our Beau. She followed our instructions to a T, sent us updates on him a few times a day, and even let him convince her to take him on more walks than he usually gets 😂 it was so great to be on vacation and not have to worry that Beau was being taken care of with the same amount of love that we would. Beau loves her and so do we! I couldn’t recommend her enough!!!”

About: I’ve always grown up with dogs but have been dog sitting for several years now. At home my family has two very high-energy dogs so I know what it takes to keep them occupied and exercised. We can have lots of play time if that’s what your dog enjoys or just hangout together around the house if that’s more their speed. You can guarantee on receiving updates and photos of your dog while away if all the fun things we are doing! We will do a long walk or run or playtime in the morning before it’s too hot out. Throughout the day we will have outside time and can do shorter walks or go on adventures together and in the evening another long walk or playtime! My schedule is super flexible. I follow your care instructions so the dog has the same rules and routines while you’re away. I want your dog to be comfortable and have fun while you’re away so you don’t have to worry.
“Aramie was a perfect sitter for my clingy rambunctious girl! She took excellent care of her and the house, going above and beyond what I expected. I’m glad to have found my new dog sitter!”

“Anne-Renee was a great communicator, and took great care of our injured boy while we had a night out. She kept us in the loop and gave us peace of mind while we were gone. I’d happily book her again.”

“Mindy is awesome ! She agreed to an early 6:30 am house sitting and was even a tad early ! The puppies recognized her immediately and barely noticed when I left and were napping when I returned. We all feel safe with Mindy and appreciate her.”

“Ruth was amazing! My poor baby had a seizure right before I left and she did an amazing job at keeping me updated on things. She goes above and beyond with things like taking notes if your dog needs meds or has special needs! Definitely recommend her!”

“Holly watched our dog for a few days at our home. She was excellent with our pup who sometimes is a little grumpy. We were extremely comfortable with her caring for our dog in our house. Holly provided updates and pictures to us while we were away. If we ever need a sitter again Holly will be our first choice.”

“Emily was amazing with my large dog. Lots of walks and pets. She communicated with me really well and sent me photos. My neighbors saw her taking long walks and also want to hire her. She is fantastic, loyal, very professional. I would highly recommend her..”

“Allison was absolutely wonderful with our dogs during her overnight stay. From the moment she arrived, we felt completely at ease knowing they were in her hands. She gave them so much love and attention, kept us updated with pictures and messages, and made sure their routines were followed perfectly. When we got home, our dogs were happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. The house was also spotless, and she took the initiative to prepare the next day’s treats and other housekeeping! We couldn’t ask for a better sitter — responsible, kind, and truly trustworthy. We will definitely be booking Allison again!”

“Kyrstyn was an amazing pet sitter!! I needed someone on a very short notice and she was so accommodating to our family. Our dogs and cats loved her!! About: I’ve had a dog by my side since the day I was born. In fact, the only time in my entire life I haven't had a pup around was a single year during college, and that was one year too many. Dogs are a constant in my life, not just a hobby. I have a strong passion for working with disabled and special needs animals. Whether it's managing mobility issues, administering medication, or providing the extra patience required for physical or behavioral challenges, I’m fully committed to that level of care. I’m also very experienced with resource guarding and high energy breeds. I don’t just watch dogs; I work to understand their specific personality and needs so they feel safe and supported. Working from home gives me the flexibility to be truly present and attentive during the week. I am available Monday through Saturday for drop ins, dog walks, vet visits, conditioning sessions, dog transport, or love bombs. I am generally free to help out starting at 2:00 PM on weekdays and have much more open availability on Saturdays. I do not offer services on Sunday. I focus on high quality mobile care for your pups during the week. My priority is being entirely respectful of both your dog’s comfort and your home environment. I understand that every dog has a specific routine and safe space, and I make it a point to maintain that structure to keep stress levels low. You can count on me to be professional and meticulous with your property. I treat every home with the same level of care and respect I’d want for my own. Whether we are out for a walk or hanging out inside, I focus on clear communication and safety so you have total peace of mind.
About: I was raised with multiple animals in my house (dogs, cats, Guinea pigs, ferrets, rats) and my siblings and I were required to take care of them. They’ve brought me great join and I know how special our animals are to us. My experience is with very specific breeds as well, from hairless cats and Bull terriers, to puppies and elderly cats. I currently coach CrossFit about 3 days a week, and recently have been dog/cat/house sitting for a few of the members of my gym. It’s been such a joy that I want to do it more! I will abide by the rules given to me per the owner. I will never assume cats are allowed outside, or dogs shouldn’t be on a leash. I might spoil the animals a little more than the owner, but only if given permission.

Omgoodness, we were across the world in Japan and Alexandra had full confidence and took wonderful care of my boys. Not only that, she took amazing care of our home, watering our plants, washing linens, and keeping the house spotless! She’s definitely my favorite person for the boys and I know that I can trust her with anything and everything…. Nothing but love and respect for her ♥️
Kyrstyn was an amazing pet sitter!! I needed someone on a very short notice and she was so accommodating to our family. Our dogs and cats loved her!! She took excellent care of them and was very communicative and sent pictures every day. We would absolutely use her again on the next time we needed a sitter.
Katie was great with Dunkin. I think he really loved the individual attention. I also think he really enjoyed his staycation. Katie kept us up to date every day and sent Dunkin pics. It is much easier to enjoy our mini vacations when I know Dunkin is well cared for. I would definitely use Katie again.

Sophia was so great with our Beau. She followed our instructions to a T, sent us updates on him a few times a day, and even let him convince her to take him on more walks than he usually gets 😂 it was so great to be on vacation and not have to worry that Beau was being taken care of with the same amount of love that we would. Beau loves her and so do we! I couldn’t recommend her enough!!!

Jessica was great with our two little dogs! They were fed on time, taken out for plenty of time outside, played with, and crated properly at the end of the night. She was very good with my more "standoffish" dog and bonded well with her. We received plenty of pictures letting us know that they were happy and well cared for. Jessica was also very communicative to us, updating us about our dogs' status every few hours. It gave us a lot of peace of mind to know that there was someone doing such a great job caring for them. We would absolutely book with Jessica again if we need another dog-sitter in the future.

This is the first time we have used Jen for dog sitting and we were very pleased. She sent us photos of Dunkin throughout the week and he looked very relaxed. If she had any questions about Dunkin's care and/or the house, she reached out and texted me. Jen made this a very relaxing vacation.

Toni was amazing with my pup. She was willing to take this booking last minute and worked with me through a difficult time. She made sure Zoe was eating as she is adjusting to her new home. I let her know some of my concerns with Zoe and she was very understanding and made sure to look out for things like other dogs on walks. I will definitely be asking her to help me out again in the near future.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Palm Bay on Rover is $37.53 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 701 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Palm Bay. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Palm Bay walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Palm Bay maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Palm Bay choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
