About: My wife and I have been pet sitting for several years. My clients have all become part of the family. I genuinely love being around animals, going for walks and spending time with animals. We were dog sitting previously in Canada while living there, we would be happy to provide you with additional references. We have the friendliest 7 year old Irish setter who absolutely loves being around people and dogs (He spends a lot of his time at Fred Popp dog park running in circles for an hour). He loves both large and small dogs and he does not seem to care if they are female or male. When pet sitting at your home, my dog will stay home with his other family members . We work from home so were always around. We love walking and being outdoors so your pet will get lots of exercise (I can track the pets walks on my phone and send updates and photos so you know your buddy is having a great time). We will always discuss the pets needs before caring for them as every pet is different and deserves the staycation that's best for them. We will discuss the pets' needs with the owner and come up with a plan that they are comfortable. (I'll do my best to stick to the same routine they have at home )

About: I have had 2 dogs in the household at all times since I was a baby and started dog sitting at 14. I have experience fostering dogs, boarding, training, walking and sitting. ABOVE AND BEYOND! Alexander and Dorys are the most reliable, trustworthy, responsible, kind, loving and fun people that I have ever hired to care for my pets or my three children! I highly recommend hiring them if you want zero worries about your fur babies or your home. I could share two weeks' worth of daily examples of their great communication and execution of my list of tasks, but I will share just one: CHRISTMAS EVE. 5:30pm. Jones, our indoor/outdoor cat, wouldn't come home. The entire family was multiple states away, as were most of our friends and neighbors. Alexander and Dorys arrive a bit early to get Jones safely inside for the night, cleaned the box and food and water dishes, and were ready to play and cuddle for 30 minutes. (always sending me pics and updates.) They kept calling for him. Did the nightly routine: selected a good TV program for him, checked thermostat and garbage, and kept calling for him --- on Christmas Eve when they were on the way to their family gathering. They were communicating with me that Jones was not home, and I told them they should leave the cat door open and to go to dinner with their family. It was Christmas Eve! (And, Jones often doesn't come back home immediately when called.) I said the neighbor would keep an eye out. But, Alexander and Dorys didn't feel good about leaving Jones outside and didn't want me to worry. Instead of leaving him outside like I said to do, they tracked Jones' Airtag that I had shared previously. The lovely couple went throughout the neighborhood, calling him and shaking his treats until they found him two blocks away. Then, Jones didn't want to ride in the car. So, Dorys walked and carried Jones all the way back home. And, they still petted him and gave him his nightly catnip party! I will attach a pic of the walk home with Jones looking like he's clawing her arm, but she never said a single word about that. They were just happy to have found him and made sure my fur baby was safely home so I could have a worry-free Christmas Eve. I believe this single example of my experience with Alexander and Dorys is a real testament to the care they would give your pets. In addition, they also cared for my large 'high-maintainence' German Shepherd the week that he had leg surgery for new ACL, and Dorys sat on the couch beside him and read with him the entire night to ease his separation anxiety. Gave medication, treats, and took care of Jones' indoor/outdoor needs... Dr. Dog was the least anxious that I have ever seen him upon our return home. He was so happy and peaceful ... another testament to the connection they have with the animals. You can see it. They are animal people, truly kind, and the pets and I love them - you will, too! :) ( Most of all for me busy working and traveling with family, etc.... I like not worrying about anything, no matter what. They took care of everything that came up without me giving a second thought. Worth every penny for the peace of mind... everything taken care of... everyone is happy!)
I highly recommend Ashlei as a pet sitter. The problem with Rover is most of the pet sitters have strong experience with dogs and not cats. Most profiles show pictures with pet sitters interacting with dogs. Ashlei has good experience with both dogs AND cats. I have 2 indoor/outdoor cats and taking care of them requires someone that understand their tricky behaviors. Ashlei helped tremendously with her knowledge and experience with cats. Ashlei is very responsive and flexible with her schedule. There are occasions when last-minute adjustments are required to my booking and Ashlei is always understanding and adapts her schedule to these changes. During the week of Christmas, my cats were having issues with their stool and weren’t eating and Ashlei spent extra time with them to make sure they were doing better. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Ashlei is reliable, does everything in her power to help, and truly cares about the pets under her care. On the Rover cards, Ashlei is descriptive about her session experience and includes pictures during her visit. I remember looking forward to reading the session cards because they provide evidence that my pets are in good hands. I can enjoy my vacation or travel plans because Ashlei is there to do an amazing job.
