About: I have experience caring for puppies, adult dogs, and senior dogs, and I am also open to providing care for cats. I am happy to assist with any needs your pet may have. As a dog owner myself, I understand how important pets are to their families, and I will treat your pets with the same care, attention, and love that I give my own. I am currently a full time student working in public school. I leave around 7am and I get off at 2:00/2:30pm Monday-Friday. I am available to walk or do drop ins after 2:30pm. If I am house sitting/dropping in I may have to arrive/leave sooner depending on how far you are from me. On the weekends I work from 6:50am-11:30am and 1pm-5pm. I have three dogs at home so if you are looking to board you will need to bring your dog to my residence to make sure they can be around my dogs. Your dog has to be able to stay in a crate for 4-6 hours while I’m a work. My grandparents will give them a bathroom break in the afternoon. I will follow your schedule, including feeding times, walks, and any required medications. I am committed to giving your pets attentive care and plenty of affection.

Angela did a great job while me and my family were away. She made sure to send pictures daily of my pets which I truly appreciated. She even cleaned our kitty litter when we told her she didn’t have to! I will definitely use Angela again in the future! She followed direction perfectly.

Thank you for the drop in visit to take care of our sweet girl! It looks like she was motivated for a decent walk & ate most of her food (& both are accomplishments for our senior girl : ) )! We appreciate your detailed update!

Amanda is an excellent pet care professional. She’s always on time and was very easy to set up care for my 4 month old puppy. She goes above and beyond, and clearly cares for animals. She was a vet tech and is currently studying to be a vet. Would highly recommend Amanda if you are looking for someone who is friendly, trustworthy, dependable and knowledgeable with pets.

About: Like many others‚ I've been around animals my whole life, and while being a pet owner naturally teaches you about responsibility and how to take care of an animal, what really helped prepare me and build my confidence to provide reliable professional pet care was working in animal care facilities․ I began working as a kennel technician during my senior year of high school, where I was responsible for feeding animals, administering medications, cleaning kennels, and ensuring each pet received the attention and care they needed․ When I started college, I continued working seasonally during breaks, but eventually transitioned into a job that tailored my college needs. Throughout high school though, I continuously pet-sat for some family friends. I am currently a junior at Florida Tech․ I work as a customer service representative and animal care attendant at Dogspot Hotel․ The great thing about working at the Dogspot Hotel is that I get to interact with clients and their dogs‚ and provide the best service for each animal․ I am comfortable administering oral and injectable medications including insulin‚ as well as handling animals with a variety of medical conditions and behavioral issues․ A little extra about me, I have three dogs, three cats, and a Russian tortoise! When school starts up again in August‚ I will be a full-time college student at Florida Tech and working part-time․ My class schedule will be set‚ but my job is very flexible and I will be able to work around my class schedule․ Classes are scheduled mainly four days a week‚ with a mix of morning and afternoon availability. This gives me more flexibility to care for pets, including check-ins throughout the day, or overnight in the case of boarding․ I currently live in Melbourne‚ in the house that I rent with my roommates‚ and while my roommates have no problems with me having pets, our landlord has stated that they do not allow pets in the house. So any pet care would have to take place outside of my home.

About: I provide more than just pet sitting—I create a safe, loving, and stress-free experience for every dog in my care, whether puppy or senior. I take the time to understand each dog's unique personality, routine, and needs, so they feel comfortable and at home. My schedule is very flexible as I work from home and if you need overnight care I can bring my laptop and work from anywhere while caring for your pet. I don’t have a fenced in yard but am comfortable walking your pet as often as necessary. In my home, they are in a clean and comfortable environment. In your home, with your instructions, your pets will enjoy their natural environment.

About: If you’re anything like me, you know that dogs hold a special place in our hearts! They’re so full of love, and always ready to provide us with tons of happiness. They’re so wonderful and giving to us, so being a pet sitter allows me the opportunity to give back to them! I love being able to give them the love and care they need to thrive. Plus, it’s great to be able to give back to my community by providing owners with peace of mind while they’re away. I just can’t wait to meet your pup! My experience with dogs is mostly through my ownership experience and having dogs all my life. Through those experiences, I have learned to do some administration of medications and whatever needs they may have had, such as cleaning wounds and topical ointments. In addition, I have been a dog sitter for numerous family friends including a variety of dog breeds. I don’t have any preference of dog breeds, so all are welcome! I am very open on communication and updates. I believe that it’s just a pillar of good customer service. I will send pictures and updates as much as possible so you can see how much fun your pup and I are having together. I am open and available to answer any and all questions. I also take pride in being responsible and organized, so the focus will solely be on providing your pup with as much love and care as possible. My goal is to help you feel comfortable and safe knowing your fur baby is in safe and great hands! I am a stay at home mom and while that keeps me busy I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule to care for your pet! You can rest assured your pet will be taken care of comfortably at our home giving a lot of attention and bonding they need to feel adjusted while you’re away. At others homes I am very respectful of your space and pets needs. I always like to provide the most comfort I can.

I selected Gabriella because of her ability to administer insulin shots to my dog. She had an emergency with her own dog and even when going through an stressful time, she managed to show up and worked things out with me. I will certainly hire her again if needed, she acted very responsible and understood that my dog really needed her.

About: Hi! Im Andrea. I moved down to Vero Beach Dec ‘21 from North Dakota and now making my way up to Melbourne! I’m loving the florida life! Beaches are wayy better here. Back in north dakota i had 3 families I would pet set for. Ranging from small to big, lazy to extremely hyper I can handle it all! I’ve had many pets from 4 cats at time, a snake, to 3 cats and a dog, and now two cats. Please let me hangout with your animals before I go rescue every furbaby at the shelter. Open availability in September/October besides weekends. I work 12 hour shifts in east/central melbourne area, can most likely work out a potty break in that time if needed:) I have experience in residential Window Cleaning in high value properties in the Vero Beach area, I always have the upmost respect for another persons home, animals, and property. I can do small cleaning jobs as well for an additional price. I’m not willing to stay in another’s home overnight until a couple meet ups with pets and their owners for personal safety and comfortability reasons.

Going on a cruise with less than two weeks notice, Kayley was available to check in on my cat Peaches for the week while I was away. Quick response and meetup made everything comfortable and reassuring. Peaches is an indoor cat that likes the outdoors. Kayley had the confidence and expertise to let a Peaches do her favorite daily activity of sunbathing on the patio. Not an timid task to let a cat out and hoping it doesn't bolt. Would definitely book Kayley to watch Peaches again!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Grant. On Rover:

  • 98% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
