“Leslie was amazing! Walking into her home you immediately felt calm and welcomed. Perfect for Cooper care when we took a quick trip. Leaving your dog with someone else is nerve racking enough, I had no worries on my trip while Cooper was in her care. Very responsive to any questions, shared pictures and updates on Cooper multiple times a day. Very comforting to know Cooper was getting care and attention in our absence. Will DEFINITELY book with Leslie in the future. ?⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐?”

“Adrienne and Nick were over the top fantastic sitters for The Doods, Toby + Dexter. They kept them entertained, playing all their favorite games and making sure Dexter didn’t eat any grass. The couch cuddles and TV time was exactly what they were used to and made them feel comfortable. Adrienne knew they liked to dress up and surprised us by creating custom bandannas for them both. All the funny messages and pictures reassured us that they were well taken care of while we were gone. The Doods are already looking forward to their next stay with them.”

“Gail took excellent care of my dog. I was entirely satisfied with her service. She went the extra mile by cleaning my dog's eyes daily. I highly recommend her for small dogs.”

“Thank you very much for a great care of our dog Tina. We really appreciate your kindness and hospitality. And we know that Tina wasn’t missing us at all during this 2 days stay.”

“This is the second time I have used Bonnie and Ron to watch Buddy. They are fabulous! From the moment I met them, I felt confident my pup would be in good hands. They are attentive and give Buddy much love and attention, which makes me feel good about leaving him in the care of someone else. And my dog seems to enjoy his time with them as well...no doubt they spoil him! LOL! I highly recommend Bonnie and Ron, and will certainly book with them again, whether it be for only a day or a couple of weeks.”

“Mark was great with our dog. He made Bentley feel right at home. Mark was great with communication and flexible with timing of drop off and pick up. Will definitely use him again.”

“Olivia kept our pup happy and calmed/relieved his anxiety of us being away! She was communicative and flexible as our timing shifted. It’s nice to know that she shares a fondness for our dog even with his messy drool and quirky personality!”

“Joanne was the Best pet sitter ever. She treated my little Chiuauaha Layla with such kindness. My Layla is super shy at first.....it takes a while for her to warm up to people and other animals. Joanne was so patient with her and when I picked her up at the end of her stay at Joannes house .. she seemed to be relaxed and acted like part of the family and having a super fun time. Joanne sent lots of cute pictures to show us that she was fine and having fun. It made me feel at eases. We will definitely ask her to sit for us again. Im Forever grateful to have found her ❤”

“As always, Susan was amazing with my high maintenance and anxious girl. Our Chloe has stayed multiple times with Susan and her daughter, but this was a much longer trip. Susan calmed my worries right away though, and let me know how she was doing every day. I cannot express how wonderful it feels to go on a vacation with our family (something we would have never been able to do prior to meeting Susan) and feel completely at ease that our girl is in the best hands. Thank you again, from the bottom of my heart.”

“Raelin and her dog are so sweet! She did an awesome job watching my dog for a long weekend and sent daily updates. I would definitely trust her to watch my dog again.”
“Maria is such an amazing pet sitter. She kept us updated daily with video clips while they were on walks, lounging and when our dog was playing. What a great sight to see our dog enjoying herself in the care of another person. We highly recommend her service.”

“I can't say enough good things about Duke's stay at Hailey and Will's house. He was very well cared for, by a loving family. He seemed to fit right in with the other animals and people. As I sit here writing this, Duke is knocked out from all his excitement of the weekend. Again, thank you so much, Hailey and Will, for taking such good care of my boy.”

“Kaleigh and her family did a wonderful job taking care of our Abby. Abby felt at home there and enjoyed playing with her French Bulldog, Raya. Kaleigh was great in keeping me informed as to how Abby was doing and also including cute pictures. I would definitely recommend Kaleigh... You won't be disappointed.”

“I had an urgent and unexpected situation come up and needed last minute care for my dog, Sway. Digna and Joseph were incredibly accommodating. They were available for a same day meet and greet and welcomed her into their home for five days. From the moment I dropped her off, I felt completely at ease. They sent frequent updates and photos, which meant a lot to me. Sway looked so happy in every picture; I swear she was even smiling in a few of them! She’s a very friendly girl, and it was clear she was getting lots of love and attention while she was there. I’m truly grateful for how well they cared for her. It felt like she was treated like part of their family. I would absolutely trust them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, kind, and attentive pet care.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Grant
Ashley took wonderful care of our golden retriever, Winter, during her 8-night stay. She kept us updated with photos and messages, which gave us real peace of mind while we were away. It was obvious that Winter was well cared for, comfortable, and loved throughout her stay. Ashley was friendly, communicative, and made the entire process seamless, including pick-up and drop-off. Winter came home happy and relaxed, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We would absolutely book with Ashley again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter. Thank you, Ashley!

Ashley was AMAZING! She was so great with our lab hooch, and was more than accommodating when we last minute had a delay in our trip. Hooch got plenty of time to run around and play and was well loved and taken care of the whole week we were away. We just moved down to Palm Bay and are so happy we found someone we trust not too far from us. We will definitely use Ashley again and would recommend her to anyone!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
