“Alex and Dory were great. We were worried to leave our recent rescue dog, but never a question once we met. Scooby did great and we were well informed with good pictures. Thank you guys!”

“Our very first time with Becky & I think she’s our new dog sitter . She was wonderful & accommodating. Our lab was very comfortable at her house & she was well taken care of. We got updates & pictures every day Thank you Becky 🩷”

“Joanne is great with Tori, giving care and long walks. Encouraging her rest but ensuring she has fun. Joanne is great at ensuring all medicine is taken and communicating with you during a stay.”

“Billy Boy and our family couldn't be more blessed to find Sonia. She is truly God sent. Previously we were boarding Billy which were AWFUL experiences, no updates nor feedback after pickup. Billy had stress colitis for days after. We knew boarding was not an option and then heard about Rover. We requested for a meet up. A first meeting Sonia, we knew Billy would be comfortable and enjoy his time away from us. It was like going to an auntie's house. Sonia kept us posted with pictures and updates on his feeding / potty routines. Billy's loves playing and running so Sonia sent us notes about their walks and how he was getting along with the other puppies. During down time we could just see Billy feeling at home. Sonia sent many pictures of nap time on the couch and best of all bedtime with Sonia. Yes, Billy's a very spoiled son, yet Sonia accommodated when we told her Billy sleeps with us in bed. We know Billy definitely be well cared for his next visit. Praying it will be with Sonia , she is an amazing and compassionate young woman. If we could, we would rate 100 out of 5 stars! Thank you so much Sonia!!!”

“First time using rover, I was a bit worried about the service but man was I mistaken. Mandy is a 5/5 sitter, sent me constant updates, had a fenced backyard and two friends to keep my Yuki company. Would recommend and rebook!!”

“Excellent, they always took good care of my dog and updated me every day with photos, videos and messages. Their dogs are very friendly. Without hesitation I will book with them again on future occasions.”

“Sheena, was not only flexible with the time we needed she was an Angel during a difficult time. Titus was attacked by another dog the day before Titus was supposed to meet Sheena. He was very badly hurt we thought we would have to cancel, Sheena said no way!!! She stepped in and treated Titus like one of her own children. Sheena has a loving and caring family they all took such good care of Titus. I would recommend Sheena to the world. She updated us every step of the way. Titus would not have healed as good as he has if it were not for her care! We thank you Sheena, Titus loves you lots! See you again very very soon.”

“This was our first time booking with Julia and was on short notice. We did a meet and greet to begin with. Our furbaby seemed to fit right in with her crew and we felt very comfortable with leaving her with them for a few days. We couldn't be happier in how our baby was cared for in our absence. Julia touched base with us each day to let us know how Pebbles was doing and even sent us pictures. This was very kind and reassuring! If you need a dogsitter or boarding, I would highly recommend Julia!”

“Theresa and her husband are devout animal lovers. Piper had a wonderful time with them, got to play with their sweet dogs and was spoiled as though she's always been one of their pack even though this was her very first stay with them. They have a very large fenced in area for the dogs to run around in during the cooler parts of the day and to do their business. Pups are treated like family, lots of love and affection, lazing on the couch and getting to snuggle up at bedtime. I will 100% use Theresa again.”
“Tiffany was so great with my dog! He stayed overnight at her house for 4 nights and I got frequent updates and photos of him throughout his stay. He is very scared of thunder and fireworks and she kept him comfortable and even put on his thunder jacket when there was new years weekend fireworks. I would definitely feel comfortable recommending Tiffany to any of my friends and family to use in the future!”

“Cj is excellent! It was obvious Nero enjoyed his 2 days very much with her and her fur babies. Cj took great care of Nero, and it’s clear she is dedicated to providing the best quality of life possible to her own pups. I felt very secure, and we will definitely visit again anytime we require boarding or day care! Thank you!”

“I can’t say enough good things about Hailey and William. We are snow birds and didn’t want to put him in a kennel but didn’t know what other options we had. This was a perfect solution! It felt like we left Wilbur with family. They too great care of him and communicated with us the whole time we were gone and included pictures!. I want to take them back home with us to Ohio.”

“I’m so grateful to Gail for taking such good care of our dog. We were so nervous about going on a cruise and leaving our dog with a stranger but the minute I met Gail and her two adorable goldens during the meet and greet I know our dog was in a safe, loving home. Our dog had a blast with her dogs, running and playing in her backyard. Gail sent us pictures and videos so we could see for ourselves what a great time our dog was having. Thanks so much Gail!!”

“We can’t say thank you enough for the wonderful job Gail did caring for Casper, especially given our last-minute booking request. Owning a reactive dog (especially a pitbull) can make finding a sitter extremely stressful, but Gail provided us with photos and updates every day and we couldn’t believe how relaxed and happy our dog was while we were away. This was our first time having someone outside of our immediate family care for Casper, but we will absolutely book with Gail again and recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter. Thanks again so much Gail!”

“My dog absolutely loves staying with them. She loves catching lizards in the yard and loves that she gets to sleep with them in their bed. When I picked her up she could care less about coming home with me. I really appreciate them treating her like she is their own.”

About: I’ve always had a pet, from hamsters, turtles, ferrets, cats to dogs. I don’t mind a dog that’s a little naughty. Currently, the love of my life is a four year old Australian Cattle Dog named Flash Bama. He is high energy, loves other dogs and a great cuddle boy. My dog is high energy and must be exercised and played with several times a day. He goes with me kayaking, hiking, and on long car trips. So, pet care is always a part of my daily routine. I am available M-F after 4pm and anytime Saturday and Sunday. I leave for work at 6am M-F so overnights are possible if it fits your schedule. My home is on a quarter acre with a good sized back yard with a 4 ft chain linked fence. It’s large enough for a dog to run, catch a frisbee or herd a herding ball. My floors are ceramic tile and high end vinyl, no mess worries. There are plenty of outdoor dog toys. I have a dog door leading to a 4x8x6 foot tarped cage. That cage door is open when I’m home so that my dog can go outside when he wants to however, most of the time I’m outside with my pet.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Grant
Ashley was AMAZING! She was so great with our lab hooch, and was more than accommodating when we last minute had a delay in our trip. Hooch got plenty of time to run around and play and was well loved and taken care of the whole week we were away. We just moved down to Palm Bay and are so happy we found someone we trust not too far from us. We will definitely use Ashley again and would recommend her to anyone!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
