Thank you for taking care of our fur babies! Jessica was awesome and very reliable. She followed every instruction we left and never really needed extra guidance (which we wouldn’t have minded) but it was nice to enjoy our vacation knowing our pets were in good hands. Thank you so much again, will definitely use you again for any future trips.

When I needed a new person to take care of my pups as soon as their regular sitter became unavailable, Brian was a guardian angel. My pups were all over him during the meet & greet with hugs and kisses! And when Brian visited them three times a day to give them their food and take them outside, the pups were always happy and well-fed. Brian made sure to send me regular updates and photos after each visit. It was a pleasure working with him and I would strongly recommend him for all of your pet care needs. I know my pups will be in great hands the next time I have to travel. Thanks Brian and looking forward to more Rover adventures!

About: Like many others‚ I've been around animals my whole life, and while being a pet owner naturally teaches you about responsibility and how to take care of an animal, what really helped prepare me and build my confidence to provide reliable professional pet care was working in animal care facilities․ I began working as a kennel technician during my senior year of high school, where I was responsible for feeding animals, administering medications, cleaning kennels, and ensuring each pet received the attention and care they needed․ When I started college, I continued working seasonally during breaks, but eventually transitioned into a job that tailored my college needs. Throughout high school though, I continuously pet-sat for some family friends. I am currently a junior at Florida Tech․ I work as a customer service representative and animal care attendant at Dogspot Hotel․ The great thing about working at the Dogspot Hotel is that I get to interact with clients and their dogs‚ and provide the best service for each animal․ I am comfortable administering oral and injectable medications including insulin‚ as well as handling animals with a variety of medical conditions and behavioral issues․ A little extra about me, I have three dogs, three cats, and a Russian tortoise! When school starts up again in August‚ I will be a full-time college student at Florida Tech and working part-time․ My class schedule will be set‚ but my job is very flexible and I will be able to work around my class schedule․ Classes are scheduled mainly four days a week‚ with a mix of morning and afternoon availability. This gives me more flexibility to care for pets, including check-ins throughout the day, or overnight in the case of boarding․ I currently live in Melbourne‚ in the house that I rent with my roommates‚ and while my roommates have no problems with me having pets, our landlord has stated that they do not allow pets in the house. So any pet care would have to take place outside of my home.

About: My wife and I have been pet sitting for several years. My clients have all become part of the family. I genuinely love being around animals, going for walks and spending time with animals. We were dog sitting previously in Canada while living there, we would be happy to provide you with additional references. We have the friendliest 7 year old Irish setter who absolutely loves being around people and dogs (He spends a lot of his time at Fred Popp dog park running in circles for an hour). He loves both large and small dogs and he does not seem to care if they are female or male. When pet sitting at your home, my dog will stay home with his other family members . We work from home so were always around. We love walking and being outdoors so your pet will get lots of exercise (I can track the pets walks on my phone and send updates and photos so you know your buddy is having a great time). We will always discuss the pets needs before caring for them as every pet is different and deserves the staycation that's best for them. We will discuss the pets' needs with the owner and come up with a plan that they are comfortable. (I'll do my best to stick to the same routine they have at home )

About: Hi! Im Andrea. I moved down to Vero Beach Dec ‘21 from North Dakota and now making my way up to Melbourne! I’m loving the florida life! Beaches are wayy better here. Back in north dakota i had 3 families I would pet set for. Ranging from small to big, lazy to extremely hyper I can handle it all! I’ve had many pets from 4 cats at time, a snake, to 3 cats and a dog, and now two cats. Please let me hangout with your animals before I go rescue every furbaby at the shelter. Open availability in September/October besides weekends. I work 12 hour shifts in east/central melbourne area, can most likely work out a potty break in that time if needed:) I have experience in residential Window Cleaning in high value properties in the Vero Beach area, I always have the upmost respect for another persons home, animals, and property. I can do small cleaning jobs as well for an additional price. I’m not willing to stay in another’s home overnight until a couple meet ups with pets and their owners for personal safety and comfortability reasons.

About: I have over 7 years of experience working with animals through shelters and daycare settings. I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments. I am comfortable with feeding, walking, bathing, and giving pets the attention and care they need. My experience has also helped me understand different behaviors, so I can handle shy, energetic, or anxious pets calmly and safely. I truly enjoy working with animals and treat every pet like my own. I currently work part-time babysitting from about 9:30 AM to 1 PM, so I am available before and after those hours. I am also in college working toward my zoology degree, which reflects my passion for animals. Pet care fits perfectly into my routine, and I have plenty of time during the day and evenings to give your pets attention, exercise, and proper care. I am flexible, dependable, and committed to being there when needed. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I follow all care instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, medications, and routines. I have experience handling different behaviors from my time in shelters, which helps me stay calm in any situation. Whether in your home or mine, I make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I will also keep you updated with messages and photos so you feel confident while you’re away.

Michelle was very professional with taking care of our cats! She took a bunch of photos of our cats and documented everything that happened during her visit. She was especially gracious to bring in a package that had unexpectedly arrived a day early (the last day of her drop in on our cats). She even went through all of Rover's policies for us during our meet and greet since we were new to the app. I highly recommend using Michelle for any pet sitting job you need!

About: I’m not just a pet sitter, I’m pet lover. I’ve cared for my own dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, and fish growing up. I’ve also cared for the pets of my family, friends, and neighbors. In high school I graduated from a veterinary technician program, and while I changed my career path, I still have the training and experience to care for animals no matter the age, personality, or needs. I can also administer medication, bathe and lightly groom your pets upon request. I work from home and my schedule allows plenty of flexibility to ensure my pets as well as yours will get the care they need. It’s not just about the pets. I understand how important it is for you to return to a tidy, safe, and secure environment after your travels. Rest assured, your house is in good hands with me. I’ll keep things are running smoothly, water your plants, collect your mail, and ensure your home remains a haven of tranquility.

I cannot recommend Ashlei highly enough! She did drop-in visits for my two cats over a long weekend, and she provided amazing care. Both of my cats have medical needs (one needs eye drops and the other needed pills mixed into her food) and Ashlei handled their regimens perfectly, including navigating our sneaky, picky eaters! Her daily reports were detailed and reassuring, and I looked forward to reading them knowing that my kitties were in her capable hands. Ashlei is professional, highly attentive to instructions, and clearly loves cats! She gave us the priceless gift of total peace of mind while we were away, and we will absolutely be booking with her again!

My 3 pups (all over 13 years old) were taken care of as if they were Gretchen’s own babies. Gretchen is one in a million! My pups just loved her and she loves them. ABOVE AND BEYOND! Alexander and Dorys are the most reliable, trustworthy, responsible, kind, loving and fun people that I have ever hired to care for my pets or my three children! I highly recommend hiring them if you want zero worries about your fur babies or your home. I could share two weeks' worth of daily examples of their great communication and execution of my list of tasks, but I will share just one: CHRISTMAS EVE. 5:30pm. Jones, our indoor/outdoor cat, wouldn't come home. The entire family was multiple states away, as were most of our friends and neighbors. Alexander and Dorys arrive a bit early to get Jones safely inside for the night, cleaned the box and food and water dishes, and were ready to play and cuddle for 30 minutes. (always sending me pics and updates.) They kept calling for him. Did the nightly routine: selected a good TV program for him, checked thermostat and garbage, and kept calling for him --- on Christmas Eve when they were on the way to their family gathering. They were communicating with me that Jones was not home, and I told them they should leave the cat door open and to go to dinner with their family. It was Christmas Eve! (And, Jones often doesn't come back home immediately when called.) I said the neighbor would keep an eye out. But, Alexander and Dorys didn't feel good about leaving Jones outside and didn't want me to worry. Instead of leaving him outside like I said to do, they tracked Jones' Airtag that I had shared previously. The lovely couple went throughout the neighborhood, calling him and shaking his treats until they found him two blocks away. Then, Jones didn't want to ride in the car. So, Dorys walked and carried Jones all the way back home. And, they still petted him and gave him his nightly catnip party! I will attach a pic of the walk home with Jones looking like he's clawing her arm, but she never said a single word about that. They were just happy to have found him and made sure my fur baby was safely home so I could have a worry-free Christmas Eve. I believe this single example of my experience with Alexander and Dorys is a real testament to the care they would give your pets. In addition, they also cared for my large 'high-maintainence' German Shepherd the week that he had leg surgery for new ACL, and Dorys sat on the couch beside him and read with him the entire night to ease his separation anxiety. Gave medication, treats, and took care of Jones' indoor/outdoor needs... Dr. Dog was the least anxious that I have ever seen him upon our return home. He was so happy and peaceful ... another testament to the connection they have with the animals. You can see it. They are animal people, truly kind, and the pets and I love them - you will, too! :) ( Most of all for me busy working and traveling with family, etc.... I like not worrying about anything, no matter what. They took care of everything that came up without me giving a second thought. Worth every penny for the peace of mind... everything taken care of... everyone is happy!)

The average cost for Pet Sitting in Palm Bay on Rover is $19.7 per visit (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Pet Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Pet Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 1,217 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across Palm Bay. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Palm Bay stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Palm Bay. On Rover:

  • 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
