It was critical to us to have someone who could physically assist our elderly 60lb girl as she has occasional challenges walking and Brian was up to the task. We heard during the drop in he was happy on the walk, so happy even had a bit of the zoomies when coming back to to the sitter’s place! About: We adopted our first pups in 2004 and cared for them for 18 pup-snuggled years. During that time, and since then, we have rescued, fostered and adopted animals of all kinds to include chickens, ducks and a pig named Kevin Bacon! Currently, we're home to Guinevere, the mild-mannered, 6 year-old mutt, Pápo, the 2yo ball of Pomeranian energy and a handful of clucky hens who will be fenced while your fur-babies are with us. We do have an 11-year-old hooman "puppy" who is just as loving and respectful of animals as we are. We will love and care for your fur-babies as if they were our very own. We are home almost all day, every day, so your pet will never be alone. I homeschool our son, and my husband works from home. Your pet will have ample opportunities to play outside in our 1/2 acre back yard. Our neighborhood is very quiet with houses situated on ~acre lots. We have neighbors with dogs, but they usually just run over to the fence to say hello and then go about their business. In our home, your fur-babies can roam freely, and they will have access to our 1/2, partially shaded, completely fenced-in back yard as often as they need. If your dog is one who prefers walks, our peaceful neighborhood has lots of places to explore; there is a nice park 1/2 mile away where they can sniff around where all of the turtles and ducks like to hang out. Pups who stay with us overnight are welcome to stay in their crate (if that's what they prefer), anywhere in the house, and, likely, on one of our beds.

Additional experience with high-energy dogs, like herding and working breeds. Open availability throughout the weekend with lesser flexibility on weekdays. Contact me if weekdays are needed, and I'm sure we can agree on something that works! Dog Walking: I ensure your dog’s safety by walking routes on quiet streets in the area. Depending on trails and parks near you, I’m open to walking/ playing with your pup in different environments besides neighborhood streets, like taking a trip to the dog park if one is within walking distance! Confirmation of this is required beforehand to ensure the safety of your dog when coming in contact with other pets. Additionally, I do not bring any other people or animals with me.
