“Jorge & Osvaldo offer a 5 star day car 👌 They are friendly and professional! Today, it was our dog’s first all day daycare and they LOVED IT! When we got to the front door, they went right in and based on many pictures we revived throughout the day, they seemed to be enjoying their stay! We already have a second booking and I am sure we will use them over and over again!”

“My fur baby had the best time with Carly! I don’t think she wanted to come home. Carly did a great job keeping me updated throughout the day and made me feel assured that Nala was in great hands.”

“Highly recommend Kristen! She is attentive and caring with our doggies. Provides updates often, has a backyard so they can run around, and spends lots of time with them. Definitely will contact Kristen again.”

“My goodness. We needed day care for our two pups and, boy, were we pleased with Alexander and Dorys. They were not only communicative, friendly, obvious dog lovers, but took such great care of our boys. It was quite clear they were interacting with our pups, the entire day! We look forward to using them, again. (Especially since the boys can't stop talking about all the fun they had.) We are very grateful.”

About: You could probably say I enjoy being around dogs more than most people. I consider dogs angels. I love to spoil them. My two girls are very spoiled. I have always had a dog. At one time I had 4 large dogs. I know what distress looks like and I know animal safeguarding. My husband and I have a deep bond with animals. We will care for your dog just as if they were ours. I’m a retired teacher and I love and truly understand dogs. I will love your pet as if he/she were my own. I’ve done all kinds of medications including kidney care involving injections and oral medicine. I have a fenced in yard and a safe place to walk dogs. I have two female Shitzus and they are very very friendly. I have had puppies, teenage dogs, and seniors. We only care for one families’ dog(s) at a time so they receive the care they deserve. We will send lots of pictures of your dog during our time with us and we will always follow your care instructions.
“Dan was amazing! I chose him because he was careful and wanted to meet Nakita before accepting the booking. She was comfortable with him almost immediately, and he was exactly what I was looking for! Highly recommend the meet-and-greet for anyone who watches your pups. Thanks Dan for taking great care of our girl🥰”

“Brittany was absolutely fantastic both before and throughout our first day of boarding with Hoola. There was great communication with a meet and greet and eventual day of fun with Brittany and Hugo (who is truly a gem of a dog.) Hoola was clearly very well cared for and loved in our absence. Thanks for making this experience so positive and we look forward to booking with you again soon. Definitely would highly recommend.”

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover with experience caring for both small and large dogs, including breeds such as Yorkshire Terriers, Labrador Retrievers, Goldendoodles, and more. I’ve also owned several indoor-only cats over the years, giving me a solid understanding of feline care and behavior. I know that every pet has a unique personality, and I strive to provide the same love, patience, and attention they receive at home so they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. I work from home Monday through Friday about 95% of the time, which allows me to provide plenty of attention, companionship, and supervision throughout the day. Unless I’m traveling for work or on holiday, I’m available for pet care, including during most major holidays. I have a home with a large, securely fenced yard where dogs can safely play and explore. My beloved Thumper, a 14-year-old Jack Russell Terrier/Dachshund mix, crossed the rainbow bridge on April 24, 2026. While I no longer have pets of my own, caring for other people’s dogs and cats has become a meaningful way for me to continue sharing the love and companionship that animals bring. Whether your pet enjoys playtime or simply relaxing nearby, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable. Dogs in my care enjoy daily morning and evening neighborhood walks, and they’re welcome to cuddle on the furniture and even the bed if that’s what they’re accustomed to at home. When house sitting, I treat your home with the same respect and care as I would my own. In addition to providing attentive, loving care for your pets, I’m happy to perform light housekeeping, water indoor and outdoor plants, bring in mail or packages, and take care of other small household tasks we’ve agreed upon. My goal is to keep your pets happy, maintain their normal routine, and give you peace of mind while you’re away. When your pet stays with me, they’ll enjoy a clean, comfortable home with plenty of cozy dog beds, a large, securely fenced backyard for zoomies and playtime, and a toy box filled with fun toys. As a special welcome, every first-time boarding guest gets to take home a toy as a souvenir from their Dogcation! I believe pet parents deserve peace of mind while they’re away, so I provide daily photo and video updates, along with a personalized report card summarizing your pet’s stay, activities, eating habits, and overall experience. Because I work from home most of the week, I can offer plenty of one-on-one attention and companionship tailored to your pet’s individual needs. Whether they love to play, cuddle, or simply relax nearby, they’ll receive lots of love and personalized care. I’m highly organized, reliable, and flexible whenever possible with drop-off and pick-up times, including accommodating last-minute schedule changes. My goal is to make your pet’s stay as fun, safe, and stress free as possible for both you and your furry family member(s).
“We’re so grateful to have found such an amazing and reliable dogsitter! Ms Pat treats our dog like her own, and it shows—Poppy absolutely adores her and is always so excited to see her. We work a lot so it gives us total peace of mind knowing our dog is in such loving and capable hands. Highly recommend!”

“I love my little girl so much and I’m very particular about who she stays with. She can be a whole lotta personality. Let me tell you how absolutely amazing and fantastic Darcy and Dave are! They welcomed her with open arms and took such good care of her. Tulip even asked me on the way home when the next time was, she could go and play at Miss Darcy and Mr. Dave‘s house. So trust these two to treat your babies better than you treat them!”

“Aniston was wonderful! Reef seemed so happy (and tired) when I picked him up. Aniston was very communicative and responsive. Will definitely use Aniston again and highly recommend her”

About: I've grown up around animals my entire life and while I love them all, dogs hold a special place in my heart. Now in my adult life, owning a fur-baby (dog) myself, I truly understand the concern around finding someone to look after them while you're away and cannot bring them with. Because if we could bring them every where, we would, right!? :) I work from home full-time Monday thru Friday, which provides the flexibility to care for your fur-baby. I have several years of experience dog sitting, dog walking, and house sitting for family, friends, and colleagues. I would love to get to know your fur-baby and provide the best possible care for them! ** Unfortunately because of my own dog being reactive, I cannot board at this time. Since I work from home, I am able to provide your fur-baby the attention and care they need depending on their specific needs. I know dogs thrive on a consistent schedule and am happy to help maintain their normal routine while you're away from home. My top priority is make sure your fur-baby feels "at home" where ever they are. If they have a specific routine that we need to follow every day, I will adhere to them.
“Wonderful family. Our Turtle was spoiled with their love and attention (they even brushed her out and made her a wonderful fluff ball. We will hope Turtle can visit her new friends again.”

“Mark made Hudson feel right at home and like he was part of the pack. He made me feel at ease when I dropped him off as sometimes Hudson can be a bit persnickety and I left knowing he would have control of the situation and Hudson fit right in! Would recommend and book again!”

“Louie loves going to Lora and Brenda’s house. He likes the lap time and getting treats and playing with the other dogs. He always comes home happy. We highly recommend Lora and Brenda. Your dogs will be in good hands.”

“I’d definitely book him again and would recommend him to anyone using Rover who wants someone trustworthy and attentive for their pet. Most importantly, he clearly cares about the pets he looks after. My dog warmed up to him quickly, and came back happy, calm, and well-exercised. Josh followed all instructions perfectly and handled everything with professionalism.”

“Michelle was great! She was willing to take our pups on short notice and we felt so comfortable with the whole process. She kept us very informed and took such great care of them. Very caring but also very professional- 10/10 would recommend 👌”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
