“Jorge & Osvaldo offer a 5 star day car 👌 They are friendly and professional! Today, it was our dog’s first all day daycare and they LOVED IT! When we got to the front door, they went right in and based on many pictures we revived throughout the day, they seemed to be enjoying their stay! We already have a second booking and I am sure we will use them over and over again!”

“BOOK HER! Carly did an AMAZING job with Luka and for our first time she has a customer for life!!! Her husband was friendly and made us feel so secure from the start. Her communication from the beginning was on point and she made sure that all our questions were answered. We came home to Luka going to bed and happy he met new friends!”

About: We adopted our first pups in 2004 and cared for them for 18 pup-snuggled years. During that time, and since then, we have rescued, fostered and adopted animals of all kinds to include chickens, ducks and a pig named Kevin Bacon! Currently, we're home to Guinevere, the mild-mannered, 6 year-old rescued mutt. We do have an 11-year-old hooman "puppy" who is just as loving and respectful of animals as we are. We will love and care for your fur-babies as if they were our very own. We are home almost all day, every day, so your pet will never be alone. I homeschool our son, and my husband works from home. Your pet will have ample opportunities to play outside in our 1/2 acre back yard. Our neighborhood is very quiet with houses situated on ~acre lots. We have neighbors with dogs, but they usually just run over to the fence to say hello and then go about their business. In our home, your fur-babies can roam freely, and they will have access to our 1/2, partially shaded, completely fenced-in back yard as often as they need. If your dog is one who prefers walks, our peaceful neighborhood has lots of places to explore; there is a nice park 1/2 mile away where they can sniff around where all of the turtles and ducks like to hang out. Pups who stay with us overnight are welcome to stay in their crate (if that's what they prefer), anywhere in the house, and, likely, on one of our beds.

“Dawn and Kenneth are a dream come true! I recently moved to the area and am SO happy I found them. They took wonderful care of my little Lily and I will definitely hire them again. Dawn sent an update with pics that made my heart so happy! Thank you both so much. Lily is looking forward to her next stay with you! :)”
“Friendly and great caring for our dog and our needs! His dog is beautiful, clean and easy getting along with my small dog! Cleanliness and beautiful community are perfect together with a great pet sitter! Hopping to come back for our next vacation! Many thanks to Brian and his wife !”

“This is our first time getting a sitter for our dog and I’m so glad we came across Pat. She’s amazing and dependable. My dog loved her stay and it won’t be the last time. Glad we found her!”

“We could not have had a better first experience with a dog sitter! Our dog is 3 years old and has never been away from us or kenneled so we were looking for a sitter that would be as close and comfortable to home as possible. Darcy and her husband are that and more and put us at ease right away! I highly recommend them and will definitely be using them again for an extended stay next month!”

About: We have three kids who love to pet sit for friends while they’re away. They will genuinely love and adore your pets while you cannot be with them. We are mostly home on the weekends and can give full time care. We do not fertilize the backyard and believe in an organic lifestyle. We have a fenced in yard and safe roads for dog walking. We have a strip in the backyard perfect for playing fetch and running laps.
About: I’ve had cats and dogs my entire life and I love animals. Previously I’ve had many dogs and cats and I’ve even worked at the volunteer animal shelter for 3 years. I’m currently retired and living alone and looking for something to do about once or twice a day for four to five days per week. Also can do boarding of one dog at a time. I walk dogs twice per day and feed dogs on a schedule. When I care for other people animals I look at notes they’ve left me and take care of their pets the way that they want their pet taken care of.
“Wonderful family. Our Turtle was spoiled with their love and attention (they even brushed her out and made her a wonderful fluff ball. We will hope Turtle can visit her new friends again.”

“Debra did an amazing job watching my little girl Nina. She’s very easy to setup with. She has other great dogs she watches over which gives my dog plenty of play time and socialization. Would highly recommend Debra who clearly loves animals.”

“Anna and her son were amazing! They kept us posted about our baby, sent pictures and were totally sweet with him!! Will definitely recommend and use it again!! 💕❤️👏🏼🎉✨”

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life. I grew up with dogs, cats, and hamsters, and for the past 22 years I’ve always had a dog of my own—they’re truly part of the family. Right now, we have a sweet 2-year-old Italian Greyhound, so I understand the energy, patience, and consistency that come with caring for a young dog. I also have experience caring for other types of pets, including our bearded dragon, so I’m comfortable with different personalities and needs. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone, and I don’t take that lightly. I’ll care for your pet the same way I care for my own—with lots of love, attention, and respect for their routine so they feel safe and happy while you’re away. I’m a stay-at-home mom to three children, all over the age of 8, so our home is calm and doesn’t have little ones running around. My daughters are homeschooled, which gives us a very flexible schedule and allows us to be home often throughout the day. While we do have activities, we’re able to plan our schedule around the pets in our care and can be home every 2–4 hours as needed. This flexibility means your pet will get plenty of attention, supervision, and consistency while staying with us. Our home environment is relaxed, dependable, and centered around making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I do not have a fenced yard but I do take frequent walks with my dog through the neighborhood so walks will not be a problem.
About: I’ve cared for dogs of all ages since I was a little girl, including my own Shih Tzu, Mei Mei! Gentle, patient, and attentive, I treat every pet like family, making sure they feel happy, safe, and cared for while you’re away :) I am available all week, (Monday through Friday)! I make sure your pets get love, walks, and attention on a schedule that works for them! I provide a safe and loving environment for all pets. My home has a fenced yard, doggy gates, and a cozy crate if needed. My friendly Shih Tzu, Mei Mei, keeps any dog company and helps them feel comfortable and happy.

About: I always say ..."if a person doesn't love a dog then we cannot be friends." Gated community with great walking streets and no traffic. When your pet is we with me in my home then they are home as well. They are welcome to be on the furniture and sleep in the bed if they like to do that. I can also have your crate if they need that as well. There is plenty of room. We also have an enclosed very secure outdoor Lanai. I have had many pets all of my life and love them all. My last dog was with me for over sixteen years. He was perfect in every way to me. I look forward to meeting you and your furry friends real soon! Cats...what can I say? I adore cats they are so cool and so much fun. One look and they got you. They can be so sweet and loving and then have you rolling on the floor laughing from just one look. I really believe cats truly understand language. I have plenty of time for the attention and love your pet needs. I am home full time which gives me time to cater to your pets every need. I live in a gated private community which is very safe for your pets and very little traffic on lovely walking streets with beautiful lakes to sit by.

“My goodness. We needed day care for our two pups and, boy, were we pleased with Alexander and Dorys. They were not only communicative, friendly, obvious dog lovers, but took such great care of our boys. It was quite clear they were interacting with our pups, the entire day! We look forward to using them, again. (Especially since the boys can't stop talking about all the fun they had.) We are very grateful.”

BOOK HER! Carly did an AMAZING job with Luka and for our first time she has a customer for life!!! Her husband was friendly and made us feel so secure from the start. Her communication from the beginning was on point and she made sure that all our questions were answered. We came home to Luka going to bed and happy he met new friends!

Brian (Lee & Pearl) were very welcoming from the start with our meet and greet. Beauty was very well cared for during my family get away. I was kept informed daily on her progress. I highly recommend Brian and his outstanding service. My dog is my baby. I will only leave her with people I just whole heartedly. Thank you again for loving my girl.
I’d definitely book him again and would recommend him to anyone using Rover who wants someone trustworthy and attentive for their pet. Most importantly, he clearly cares about the pets he looks after. My dog warmed up to him quickly, and came back happy, calm, and well-exercised. Josh followed all instructions perfectly and handled everything with professionalism.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
