“Cessna was excited when she met Paul, and he took her for a walk as soon as I dropped her off. I really liked that. Paul sent me lots of pictures of her throughout the day, and I felt good knowing she was safe and comfortable while I was away. I also loved that she was the only dog in his care.”

“Mark made Hudson feel right at home and like he was part of the pack. He made me feel at ease when I dropped him off as sometimes Hudson can be a bit persnickety and I left knowing he would have control of the situation and Hudson fit right in! Would recommend and book again!”

“Luca absolutely loves spending time with Nytza and her family. They have been extremely flexible with me and the needs that we have when it concerns Luca. They are amazing and we are appreciative.”

About: I've grown up with dogs and other animals almost my whole life! I've watched dogs for friends and family, and dogs of all sizes! I love each and every pet I meet, and have a beloved little dog of my own! I believe each and every pet has their own personality, and each deserve their own unique love, care, and quality time. From big, small, old and young, I will take care of your pet as if they were my very own! I am currently not employed in a work setting, but do work on my side business as a crocheter part time, so I will have plenty of time for your fur babies! My schedule is very flexible, so I can work with your schedule too! I have a partially fenced yard, with one small side not fenced, so taking dogs out on a leash is no problem for me! In home there are no breakable items within reach of any sized pet, and no harmful items within reach either. My super comfy couch and bed is pet friendly so your fur babies can rest their heads wherever they would like! If going for a walk, I live on a road that stretches almost a mile long with a sidewalk on both sides. If in the clients home, the house will be respected and any notes or rules will be followed (ex. House codes and gate codes, potty breaks outside, walks, any needs of the pet). If a pet needs medication, assistance or any other specific care, I will go above and beyond to make sure your pet is healthy and happy!
“Dominique did an amazing job minding our girl a few times while we were in the area. On day two she was excitedly waiting at her door wagging her tail! Dominique was kind and really spent time getting to know Pepsi, we really appreciate her and would not hesitate to highly recommend her!”

“An amazing family that kept my pups happy and busy! They sent frequent pics and updates without me having to reach out first, which is always much appreciated! They will definitely become my sitter of choice!”
“We’re so grateful to have found such an amazing and reliable dogsitter! Ms Pat treats our dog like her own, and it shows—Poppy absolutely adores her and is always so excited to see her. We work a lot so it gives us total peace of mind knowing our dog is in such loving and capable hands. Highly recommend!”

“Jorge’s service was great. My pets spent the day with him and were returned to me well. I received pictures and he was responsive to my check texts. His property is welcoming and so was he. I would recommend his services to anyone looking in this area.”

About: I’d love to watch your pups at my house or at yours! *your dog MUST be crated trained to stay at my house* I have two dogs of my own who LOVE other dogs. We have a fully fenced in yard, so they get lots of exercise daily. I work from home, and can take the dogs out as much as possible during the day. They are hardly left alone! I work from home full time, so I am able to care for your pet during the day at anytime! I can take them on walks, drop in just to say hi, and do feedings. I have a fenced in yard and two dogs at home to keep your dog company! I can easily crate your dog as well. My dogs are crated when I leave the house. I know how to administer insulin, as my parent’s dog is diabetic and I have given her the shot many times.
“Had a great experience with Olivia! They were super communicative, sending me photos and updates of my dog playing and relaxing. It was clear that my dog had a blast and was well taken care of. When I picked him up he was a happy, tired dog, and I'll definitely be booking with them again. Highly recommend!”

“Brittany was absolutely fantastic both before and throughout our first day of boarding with Hoola. There was great communication with a meet and greet and eventual day of fun with Brittany and Hugo (who is truly a gem of a dog.) Hoola was clearly very well cared for and loved in our absence. Thanks for making this experience so positive and we look forward to booking with you again soon. Definitely would highly recommend.”

“My Chiweenie Brandi just spent the day at Doggy day care with Jami. Brandi was a rescue and is very timid and does not do well in new situations. Jami made her "feel at home" and when Jami sent me a picture during the day, I could tell Brandi was happy! Jami was amazing and I hope Brandi is a regular visitor there! Thank you, Jami!”
“Dan was amazing! I chose him because he was careful and wanted to meet Nakita before accepting the booking. She was comfortable with him almost immediately, and he was exactly what I was looking for! Highly recommend the meet-and-greet for anyone who watches your pups. Thanks Dan for taking great care of our girl🥰”

“Lori and her husband are great! Sent lots of picture updates of Groot and were great at being flexible on drop off/pickup times - would book again if back in the area! Thanks to both of them (and their sweet girl Mocha)!”

“We are very happy with the service provided by Amy. Our Ricky was happy when he left and when he came back. We really recommend her and appreciate her help with our Ricky.”

“We could not have had a better first experience with a dog sitter! Our dog is 3 years old and has never been away from us or kenneled so we were looking for a sitter that would be as close and comfortable to home as possible. Darcy and her husband are that and more and put us at ease right away! I highly recommend them and will definitely be using them again for an extended stay next month!”

K9 Scout Freya had the best vacation! She was a tired and happy puppy for 2 days of winter sun and fun with the whole family. I truly appreciate the time it gave me with my parents, and with all the photos & videos of Scout's daily activities, I knew she was in the best of hands. Thank you so much!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Patrick Air Force Base commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 463 sitters in Patrick Air Force Base, 88% respond to messages in under an hour.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
