“Let me start by saying that in addition to this being my first Rover experience, this is the first time my 11 year old dog, Chloe, has ever stayed away from home – for any length of time. While Chloe loves people, she is not dog-friendly, so boarding her has never been an option. Previously, anytime we wanted to go away, we tried to coax family members or friends to stay at our house, which is never easy. Desperate for a solution, we came across Rover, and met the two most wonderful people. I am so grateful for Susan and her daughter. First of all, they had no prejudice against my sweet, Pitbull mix, or her high-maintenance quirks. They were more than happy to schedule a meet and greet with us. From the moment I met them, I knew they would be the perfect fit for my anxious girl. Susan is so sweet, calm, and understanding. She listened to all my concerns and put me (and Chloe) right at ease. Her daughter is just as wonderful. She is so mature, well-behaved, and well-mannered. I had no doubt that Chloe would be in the best hands. We scheduled a one-night trial run, just to see how Chloe would handle being away from home. Everything between the drop-off and pick-up went flawlessly. I really appreciated the communication and pictures throughout the day. Susan helped alleviate my worries, and made me feel more relaxed knowing that Chloe was in excellent care. Chloe was able to settle in with them nicely, and the stay was a success. We just completed a second booking for 3 nights, and everything went just as smoothly as the first experience. Susan has been so comforting and reassuring throughout this entire process, and I highly recommend her. I am so blessed to have found such wonderful, caring people to look after my girl.”

About: Hi! I'm Dorothy. I've always loved animals, but I've definitely become a cat person over the years. I love getting to know each cat's personality and letting them warm up to me at their own pace. Some want to play, some want to chat, and some are happiest just having a quiet person nearby—and I'm happy with all of the above. I also enjoy dog walks and drop-in visits. About: I've has cats since I was 10 years old, and have always loved them dearly. I currently own my own kitty and cat sit frequently. I also volunteer with local cat services such as the SPCA and Humane Society. I have experience with cats of all ages, from kitten to seniors, and love them all. They’ve brought me great join and I know how special our animals are to us. My experience is with very specific breeds as well, from hairless cats and Bull terriers, to puppies and elderly cats. I currently coach CrossFit about 3 days a week, and recently have been dog/cat/house sitting for a few of the members of my gym. It’s been such a joy that I want to do it more! About: I’ve had dogs since I was a kid. I have been thinking about getting a home partner for while, but at the same time I kinda enjoy being the cool uncle. Frequently, I take care of friends dogs when they go to enjoy their vacation. Usually I walk them three to four times a day, play with them a lot and feed them the usual amount, so they feel like in their own vacation as I like to say. Can guarantee they leave really happy. I really feel I like I can take care of somebody else’s dogs the same way while at the same time I enjoy having a companion! My goal is to give you peace of mind and lots of love to your dog. 😄 I work 40 a week but I lived 15min away from work that allows me to come and go. Usually telework on Fridays. Can stay home on the weekends if necessary. Don’t have a yard but can take them for walks many times a day. I have two bedroom apt and one of them is empty that can be used. About: I worked at the dog spot hotel for years handling several kinds of dogs behaviors, food, medicines, baths, exercise, etc. I also have owned 3 of my own dogs and taken several training courses with a certified dog trainer for behavior and commands. I come home on breaks as I live right down the road and my hours aren’t long at all. I am also already hanging out with a foster dog when he needs me. I have a fenced in backyard as well as a screened in porch to take your dog outside to potty in the rain if they get nervous. I have a spacious home for roaming and tile floors perfect for cleaning up any accidents! I have a 8 year old yorkie mix at my home too that will keep your pets company and is great with all size dogs. I also have reliable AC in this florida heat to keep your puppies comfortable. I am able to lift 70 pounds on my own at least, in case of an emergency if I have to handle your dog from another dog.

My schedule is very flexible, so I can work with your schedule too! I have a partially fenced yard, with one small side not fenced, so taking dogs out on a leash is no problem for me! In home there are no breakable items within reach of any sized pet, and no harmful items within reach either. My super comfy couch and bed is pet friendly so your fur babies can rest their heads wherever they would like! If going for a walk, I live on a road that stretches almost a mile long with a sidewalk on both sides. If in the clients home, the house will be respected and any notes or rules will be followed (ex. House codes and gate codes, potty breaks outside, walks, any needs of the pet). If a pet needs medication, assistance or any other specific care, I will go above and beyond to make sure your pet is healthy and happy!

About: I’d love to watch your pups at my house or at yours! *your dog MUST be crated trained to stay at my house* I have two dogs of my own who LOVE other dogs. We have a fully fenced in yard, so they get lots of exercise daily. I work from home, and can take the dogs out as much as possible during the day. They are hardly left alone! I work from home full time, so I am able to care for your pet during the day at anytime! I can take them on walks, drop in just to say hi, and do feedings. I know how to administer insulin, as my parent’s dog is diabetic and I have given her the shot many times.

About: I've had pets for many years now, ranging from cats and dogs to fish. I've had experience caring for both senior dogs and cats, as well as kittens and puppies, and pretty much everything in between. I've been able to break through with very shy animals, and am always up for a challenge! I'm a college student, and have classes mostly in the mornings, sometimes running just until noon. I volunteer throughout the week, but I am willing to work around those dates for your pet. I am willing to work with whatever guidelines you may have to keep you pet safe, regarding anything from crating, leashing, outside time, or any other regulations you may have in place.

Providing them with plenty of play time, food puzzles, snuggles. I treat my babies to cakes on their birthdays. I love spending time with dogs of any variety.

“Let me start by saying that in addition to this being my first Rover experience, this is the first time my 11 year old dog, Chloe, has ever stayed away from home – for any length of time. While Chloe loves people, she is not dog-friendly, so boarding her has never been an option. I really appreciated the communication and pictures throughout the day. Susan helped alleviate my worries, and made me feel more relaxed knowing that Chloe was in excellent care. Chloe was able to settle in with them nicely, and the stay was a success. We just completed a second booking for 3 nights, and everything went just as smoothly as the first experience. Susan has been so comforting and reassuring throughout this entire process, and I highly recommend her. I am so blessed to have found such wonderful, caring people to look after my girl.”
