this young lady watched our two dachshunds overnight in our home. one of our dachshunds is handicapped with some paraplegic issues which affect her ability to control her bladder. We keep her in a doggie diaper when inside. she also needs to be lifted up and down so no jumping, stairs, etc. Lyris did an excellent job. she arrived on time, displayed a true caring attitude towards both our pets and us. We returned home to a clean house and two happy dogs. Will definitely call on her again...and again.

Lori is great. We are in Cocoa Beach part time and have not needed a dog sitter very much in the past. This time, we used Lori 4 times including a multi day sleepover, a one day sleepover, and two days of walking. We live on the 5th floor of a condo unit and it's a bit of a pain to take the dogs down the stairs to the dog walk area. Lori was very prompt, sent lots of pictures, communicated well and really seemed to like our pups, and them her. We will definitely use her again when we have a need.

About: I am an huge animal lover and dogs are my favorites! I have had different pets growing up but mostly dogs. In the recent years, I have dog-sat my friends’ dogs and had a dog of my own. Unfortunately, my baby passed always from cancer this February. (She on my main photos and on some additional photos)Currently, I am a student and I have a very flexible schedule. I decided to start offering dog walking and dog sitting services. I would be happy to care for your dogs 🐶🐕 Currently, I am a student and I have a very flexible schedule. I decided to start offering dog walking and dog sitting services. I go to UCF 3 days a week and outside of that I am open. I am not offering dog sitting in my apartment but I would be happy to do what is needed in your home. I can usually get along with any dogs. They seem to like me:)

Zed enjoyed his staycation immensely. He was spoiled rotten and got to do all the fun things. Now I wonder if he's secretly hoping I'll leave again, which is better than him getting depressed when I'm gone. Communication was good and the house is just as I left it.

About: I have had 2-4 pets in my home for my entire life and they have always been cared for lovingly and well. I am consistently trusted to check in on or dog/house sit for family and friends. I am a college student home for the summer so I have full availability during days and nights. I am willing to overnight sit and drop in throughout the day. I have a fenced in yard and two small elderly dogs. They are crate trained and can stay separate from the dogs I am dog sitting if needed. They are friendly and low energy. All size dogs welcome for my services!

We can't say enough good things about Kristen! She stayed at our house and took such good care of Misha, our high energy, 100lb German Shepard mix, for 2 weeks. We never had to worry with all of the great updates she sent us and knew Misha was in great hands with her. She is a true dog lover through and through, has great communication, and went above and beyond to make sure Misha got his enrichment, lots of playtime, and love from her. We can already tell that he misses having her around :) We also really appreciate Kristen making sure to take care of our plants, and basic household things while we were gone, and left the house clean and tidy when we returned. I highly recommend booking Kristen to care for your fur baby. They'll be in great hands and she will care for them like one of her own. We will definitely be booking with her again soon! Thanks for everything, Kristen!

Taylor did an amazing job caring for our 2 dogs. We had a terrible experience with dog sitting (non Rover related) and hadn't left them for a year and a half. This trip was unavoidable, so I searched for the best option and read all the reviews, but when I met Taylor for the meet and greet, I knew she was going to be great. I felt so comfortable with knowing she was here and received lots of pictures and updates. I truly believe she treated our dogs just like her own. We will definitely be booking Taylor for any future dog sitting needs.

About: I’m an animal lover who has owned various small and big dogs, eg Yorkies, Labs, etc., for most of my life. I’ve also owned a few indoor only cats over the years. I work from home (M-F) 95% of the time unless I’m traveling for work/holiday, which is about twice a year. I’m also available for most of the major holiday seasons. I have a home, with a large fenced in yard. My sweet Thumper, a 14 yrs., Jack Russell Terrier/Dachshund mix, recently passed on April 24, 2026. So while I no longer have any pets, I find caring for other pets helps me keep busy and continue to share my love for dogs with quality care. I take the pup(s) out for daily morning and evening walks around the neighborhood. All dogs are welcome to cuddle on the sofas and beds. When housesitting in your home, I treat and care for your home as if it was my own. This includes light housekeeping, watering the indoor/outdoor plants and other small tasks as agreed upon. My primary goal is to spend as much quality time with your pet in the comfort of their home. For boarding, my home is clean and tidy with lots of comfortable dog beds and backyard space for zoomies! There’s also a large toy box full of fun toys for your pet to take home one souvenir at their first Dogcation adventure. Check out my guest photos! Daily pictures/videos for the owners and each pet receives their own report card on their stay. I can offer 1:1 time with your fur baby. I’m very organized and flexible for any last minute changes to drop-off/pickup times.

About: What sets me apart is my hands-on experience with dogs of all sizes and personalities. I have a Great Pyrenees of my own, so I'm comfortable caring for large, powerful breeds that need confidence, patience, and consistency. I also have experience with Pit Bulls and understand that every dog is unique and deserves individualized care based on their personality and needs. Whether your dog is energetic, laid-back, shy, or strong on the leash, I focus on providing safe, dependable, and loving care. I treat every pet as if they were my own, making sure they feel comfortable, happy, and well cared for while you're away. Pet care fits perfectly into my schedule because I own and operate my own online businesses, which gives me a very flexible schedule. I can often accommodate walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting throughout the day, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. Because I set my own hours, I'm able to provide reliable care and give pets the time and attention they deserve rather than trying to fit them around a traditional 9-to-5 job. My flexibility also makes it easier to accommodate last-minute bookings whenever possible I understand that every pet has their own routine, and I'm happy to meet whatever your pet's needs are. Whether that means feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, administering medication (if needed), or simply providing companionship, I'll follow your instructions carefully to help keep your pet comfortable and stress-free. I believe consistency is important, so I'll do my best to maintain your pet's normal routine while you're away. I'll also treat your home with the same respect and care that I would my own, and I'm always happy to provide updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away.

About: I have taken care of all types of pets from dogs, cats, leopard geckos, bearded dragons, rabbits, and hedgehogs! I have a huge love for animals! I became the sole care taker for my sisters’ dog while she worked full time for two years and raised a kitten at the same time. I have no problem with hair, slobber, or cleaning up messes :-). I am currently finishing my masters degree at the University of Central Florida and I have 1-2 classes a day. Tuesday and Thursdays I have only one class in person so I have plenty of free time besides a 3 hour period from 1-3. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday I am completely free! Mondays and Wednesdays I have to spend a lot of my time on the downtown campus. I am well versed in taking care of cats and dogs of all sizes. I used to babysit children and am calm in stressful situations. I am also good at finding hiding dogs and cats, and am extra careful with doors being open / closed. I can handle administering medicine well as well to both cats and dogs.

About: Hi there! My name is Kira and I'm 24 years old. I am a hug animal lover and have been taking care of pups and cats since I was very young. Growing up my step father was a vet tech, because of this he brought us along to pet sit for dogs and cat while people were away. I also have a cat name Walter and a dog named Disney who I love and care for. I also work front desk at Dogtopia of Viera were I have learned more about dog care as well. I understand how stressful it can be with leaving a pet at home by themselves and I want to help make that process easier for both you and your pet. I can't wait to get to know you and your furry friends! I am currently working only Mondays and Tuesdays in Rockledge from 1 PM - 7:15 PM. I will occasionally go up to Orlando for quick trips as well. Either than that I am free. I have experience with all different environment for you pet. I follow any instructions for your pet weather it's feedings, walks, medications, ect. Whatever you need.

I can’t say enough great things about Mason! From the moment we connected, I felt completely at ease leaving my pup in her care. She is incredibly attentive, responsible, and clearly loves what she does. She sent regular updates, photos, and little notes about how things were going, which meant so much while I was away. Penni looked happy, relaxed, and so well cared for the entire time. It’s such a relief to know there’s someone I can fully trust with my pet. I would absolutely recommend Mason to anyone looking for a reliable, kind, and professional dog sitter. We will definitely be booking with her again!

Samara was a great house & pet sitter. She took care of everyone with care -- was wonderful to instruct and had exactly the experience she said. I was fully comfortable leaving her with two strong dogs and our old cat and dragon. Our house was probably CLEANER than we left it, and we'd have her take care of our pets anytime again in the future.

FAQs for House Sitting - Patrick Air Force Base

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Patrick Air Force Base on Rover is $33.3 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 701 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Patrick Air Force Base. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Patrick Air Force Base walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Patrick Air Force Base maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Patrick Air Force Base choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Patrick Air Force Base. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
