“Another great stay. Tucker is one happy guy when he has his vacations with Mark. Words can’t express the gratitude we have for Mark. His care and compassion for Tucker and the other pups that are there is truly amazing.”

“As always, Susan was amazing with my high maintenance and anxious girl. Our Chloe has stayed multiple times with Susan and her daughter, but this was a much longer trip. Susan calmed my worries right away though, and let me know how she was doing every day. I cannot express how wonderful it feels to go on a vacation with our family (something we would have never been able to do prior to meeting Susan) and feel completely at ease that our girl is in the best hands. Thank you again, from the bottom of my heart.”

“They were super workable with pick up and drop off, great at communicating, and kept us updated through the whole trip. Sent us pictures every day of our pup playing with their kids and any other dogs made sure to ask permission and make sure we were comfortable with everything going on highly recommend.”

“Cameron was absolutely amazing! She worked around our weird schedule and was very accommodating. Our sweet little Rey came back as happy as ever I know she treated her as if she was her own”

“Adrienne and her family watched my two dogs for a weekend and the dogs had the greatest time! She sent updates and photos frequently and even bought them new treats and toys! We have already booked another weekend for their house!”

“Paul was excellent with my yellow lab. Lots of pictures, walks, belly rubs, and you can tell he really cares about animals. My dog settled in quickly and looking forward to our next stay”
“So happy and grateful we found Bonnie and Ron on here. Our Salem was SO well cared for during our time away. They provided updates and took care of her as her own. They provided much love and attention. Salem enjoyed going for walks, played fetch, and we could not have asked for more. They are just kind people, I highly recommend them!”

“This was our third time leaving our dog, Pete, with Lysi and Seth, and as always, it was a wonderful experience. Pete absolutely loves his time with them and always leaves with a wagging tail and a smile! Lysi and Seth create such a warm and welcoming environment for the dogs, giving them plenty of opportunities to mix and mingle with other pups, which Pete truly enjoys. They are incredibly kind, responsive, and clearly passionate about what they do, which puts our minds at ease every time. We will absolutely continue to reach out to Lysi and Seth for Pete’s stays in the future. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for a safe and happy place for their furry friend!”

“Josephine took very good care of Odin and Zumi. She was very communicative and shared photos while we were away. Seamless drop-off and pick-up. I would highly recommend Josephine and would rebook again in the future.”

About: As a mother and a lifelong animal lover, I provide a nurturing, family-oriented environment for every pet. Our mother-daughter team offers over a decade of hands-on experience. I specialize in the patient, detail-oriented care required for senior pets and medication management, while my ten-year-old daughter brings the perfect energy for puppy and kitten socialization and interactive play. Because we work as a team, your pet receives double the attention. As a homeschooling family, our schedule is exceptionally flexible, allowing us to be there exactly when your pet needs us most. Whether it’s a midday walk, a specific feeding time, or a late-night potty break, our routine revolves around being available and reliable. We aren’t rushed by a traditional 9-to-5, so we can spend quality time during every drop-in, ensuring your pet gets the exercise, affection, and fresh air they deserve without feeling hurried. When we visit your home, safety and security are our absolute priorities. We are experts at maintaining your pet's existing routine to minimize stress while you are away. Our "two-set-of-eyes" approach means we are extra vigilant about secure door-locking, checking water levels, and ensuring your pet is safe and happy before we leave. We provide detailed updates and plenty of photos from every walk or visit, so you can feel completely confident that your home and your furry friends are in the best possible hands.
“Absolutely love the care provided to our fur baby. Judith is very attentive and responsive. She took the time to ask questions and really get to know how to best care for our fur baby. She provided us with daily updates and photos. We know we have truly found the best home away from home for our fur baby and will 100% use her whenever we are traveling. We highly recommend Judith if you want your pet treated like a true family member.”

“Darcy and David were good to my dogs. They kept updated everyday and sent pictures. They took really good care of Charlie and Rufus. I totally recommend them for your fur babies. Thanks a lot Darcy and David!”

“Darlene was great with taking care of Quincy. Our dog had a lot of fun with Darlene’s dog, Russell too! Darlene’s attention to detail is great and made sure that our dog was comfortable throughout his whole stay.”

“I was super nervous boarding my dog for the first time but Lauren made this experience better than I thought it could be right from the beginning. Constant updates, give him his medication and took great care of him. Definitely recommend!”

“Renate is fantastic! She cared for my dog Rory just after she’d had surgery, and helped her adhere to the required movement restrictions and physical therapy. Rory adores her and gets along really well with her dog Maggie too (who is a very sweet older dog). Renate was very attentive with her, and so kind and thoughtful. We had to travel overseas for a month and I’m so glad we found Renate to look after Rory. We will be using her again frequently! I highly recommend her services. Thanks Renate!”

About: I’ve had a dog companion all of my life. I’ve trained 5 dogs from pups and have fostered and adopted many older dogs, caring for them through their final years. All of my pets have lived long, healthy and happy lives. I’m retired. I do whatever whenever I’d like. Any schedule I have pretty much revolves around my two little dogs. Breakfast at 8AM, supper at 6PM, at their insistence, and I’ll feed your pup according to their schedule. There is a doggy door to a fenced in lawn with gardens, treated for fleas, so they have access to the facilities whenever they’d like. We go out together every morning to feed the birds and trim some plants and again every evening to check the yard and play. The younger dog likes walks in the neighborhood when weather permits. We see the neighbors and their dogs at sunrise or just before sunset a couple times a week when the sidewalks aren’t too hot. My dogs like to come out and help me garden, also when it’s not too hot. All exit doors to the open have “airlocks” so nobody can accidentally get out front. My home has always been puppy proof, no electric cords are within reach, nothing on the floors but furniture feet so there’s nothing to accidentally consume. The floors are tile throughout with indoor/outdoor rugs to help maintain a clean environment. The sofas have washable custom covers for the same reason. There are stairs to gain safe access to the sofa. Almost every room has a fresh water canister. Kibble isn’t kept out, allowing me keep a close eye on their healthy diets. Dangerous chemicals are never used in or around my home. There are plenty of dog beds under beds and in quiet corners so they can have quiet time if they want it. I also have a medium crate if they prefer. There are screened porches to the ground so they can see the world go by without being involved in it (a reasonable amount of barking at passersbys is acceptable). I believe praise works, punishment does not. I do not discipline animals, aside from a timeout spent in a room alone for 15 minutes for unruly behavior. Just as with young children, I always know where they are and what they’re up to. No more than a minute or two goes by without my notice so they have little opportunity to get into trouble.
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Patrick Air Force Base
I had a wonderful experience! They took such great care of Rocco during his two-week stay and kept me updated with frequent photos and videos, which gave me so much peace of mind. They kept him active, gave him lots of attention, and even helped reinforce his potty training. Since coming home, he hasn’t had a single accident! It was clear they genuinely cared about him, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again. Highly recommend!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Patrick Air Force Base home-away-from-home, packing:

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
