“Jessica was reliable and did a great job with my two cats. Even my shy cat who never appears around other people came out to greet her while she was here. I will absolutely try to book Jessica next time I need a pet sitter.”

“Melissa was great! She agreed to do this at the last minute and spent an hour with Sophia taking her for a long walk and spending time with her. We appreciate her attitude and promptness.”

About: Hi! I’m Margot, a dependable animal lover based in Vero Beach. As a dog owner myself, I know how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pets. Whether we’re going for a walk, playing fetch, or just keeping each other company, I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I’ll also keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages so you can have peace of mind. I can’t wait to meet your furry family!
About: I have loved dogs since childhood and worked training and caring for them since that time. I enjoy making dogs feel happy, loved and secure. I’m retired and enjoy walking. As a retiree I can devote as much time as needed for walks, play and cuddles! I also give unlimited belly rubs!! I have a large screened lanai for my charges to relax and enjoy the outdoors as well as a comfortable, safe home. I’m also experienced in giving meds.
About: I have been periodically dog sitting for family friends for about the last six years. I have experience with cats as well. I know how to feed, let out, walk, play with, administer medication to and clean up after both dogs and cats. I also really enjoy the job and helping people out in general. I am currently in flight school, so my schedule is all over the place. However, I have a lot of time that I do not need to be on campus/at the airport. I am on a block style schedule so the days of the week I am "on" shift and rotate a bit, but I am more than happy to work out what's best if you reach out. I will always treat your home as if it was my own. I take great care of my home and I wouldn't dream of bringing any harm to yours.
“Jessica was so awesome with my cat Ace. She followed all of my directions precisely, was respectful of my home, and took the time to make sure my cat felt loved with lots of pets and attention. She even fed the stray cat that hangs out around my house!”

About: I grew up with 3 dogs and 3 cats in my childhood home. I have one old boy left from then, and I still help out in his senior years. I have groomed those three at home, and since moving into my own house, I dog sit small-large sized dogs, both in my own home and in clients homes. I regularly brush the dog’s teeth, trim nails, bathe, and brush their overcoat. I also take care of the grooming for my own two cats. I’ve grown up around all different types of animals, so I’m ready for any specific needs your pets have. I’m currently unemployed and dog sitting to make money, so I am free at all times of the day and night to care for your pets. I do not have a fenced in yard, but that’s no problem because I do not mind a little outside time to take them outside on the leash. I have a park down the street that I walk the dogs to so they can sniff around and stretch their legs. I can also do any extra food care, brushing, bathing, medication, or any needs you have from me. I can fit a crate if needed, but I don’t require any kind of crate.

I do not have a fenced yard nor the ability to walk large dogs unless they use a Gentle Leader or comparable. Prefer client's home for care.
“Macie provided six days of drop-in visits for my two cats this week. What a super sitter! She was very punctual, and when her schedule needed to vary at all, she let me know ahead of time. She had every characteristic you want to see and experience in an ideal sitter. She was reliable, conscientious, thorough, and highly communicative. She sent Rover report cards immediately following each visit and asked good questions when needed. She made sure to follow all instructions about food, water, and litter box care and did a great job relaying important details about each of these areas. I looked forward to her detailed reports three times a day, and she shared fantastic photos each time. I felt assured my cats were in great hands. Macie is an outstanding sitter, and it is easy to give her a high recommendation.”

I am able to walk and play with your dog on your schedule. I am able to sit in your home at an agreeable time with you
About: I’ve had the privilege of caring for my own dog from the time he was a tiny puppy until he reached 14 years old, giving me firsthand experience with every stage of a dog’s life. Along the way, I’ve also gained experience caring for large breeds, handling their strength and energy with confidence while still giving them the affection they deserve. From playful puppies who need guidance and training, to senior dogs who require extra patience and comfort, I know how to adapt to each pup’s unique needs. I understand the trust it takes to leave your furry family member with someone else, and I’ll always care for your dog—big or small—as if they were my own. I’m currently working toward my pilot licenses here in Vero Beach, which is such an exciting journey! My training flights usually take place about three times a week and last around three hours, which still leaves me with plenty of free time and flexibility in my schedule. Pet care fits in perfectly with my daily routine—I enjoy spending my mornings, afternoons, or evenings walking, playing, and caring for dogs. Having that balance between flying and pet sitting makes every day rewarding, and it ensures I have the time and energy to give your pup the attention they deserve. At home, it’s just me, my husband, and our sweet pup who loves having company around. Safety and comfort are always my top priorities, whether I’m caring for your dog in my home or in yours. I can provide a cozy, welcoming space where your pup feels like part of the family, and if you prefer, I’m also able to crate your dog to give them their own safe and secure spot. I treat every pet with the same care and attention I give my own, making sure they are comfortable, happy, and well looked after at all times.
“Kathleen is so sweet and did a wonderful job taking care of our dogs! The dogs absolutely love her and we received pictures and detailed updates of every visit. We will definitely be repeat customers, it is truly priceless to be able to go out of town and know that the dogs are being so well loved and cared for!”

“Melissa was amazing with Enzo. She made sure to play with him while I was away. She kept me updated throughout the visits. You can trust Melissa with your pup.”

About: Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up on a farm, I cared for everything from small livestock to beloved family pets, giving me hands-on experience with a wide variety of animals and personalities. Over the years, I've cared for dogs, cats, rabbits, pot-bellied pigs, sheep, goats, horses, donkeys, cows, reptiles, and amphibians. Most recently, I've provided care for senior dogs and understand the extra patience, compassion, and attention they need as they age. My diverse background allows me to confidently care for pets of all sizes, temperaments, and life stages. Pet care fits well into my current routine. I'm currently attending school to become an airline pilot, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to be available throughout the week for walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting. For house sitting and overnight stays, some advance coordination may be needed since I'm a single dad. I pride myself on being reliable, communicative, and accommodating whenever possible. I believe every pet deserves to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owner is away. Whether I'm caring for your pet in your home or mine, I treat your animals, property, and routines with the utmost respect. I take the time to learn each pet's unique needs, maintain consistent routines, and provide attentive care to help them feel secure and happy. My goal is to give pet owners peace of mind, knowing their furry family members are being cared for with kindness, dignity, and genuine affection.
About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 5 years, and it’s truly one of my greatest joys! Whether it's dogs, cats, or small animals, I treat every pet like part of the family. I have experience with pets of all ages, sizes, and temperaments — from playful puppies to senior pets who need a gentler pace and extra care. I’m comfortable with administering medication, following special diets, and keeping up with daily routines to ensure your pet feels safe and loved while you're away. My goal is always to provide dependable, compassionate care that gives both you and your pet peace of mind. As a teacher, my weekday schedule is consistent, and I’m available for pet care after 4 PM Monday through Friday. I’m also fully available on weekends for drop-ins, walks, and overnight care. My flexible evenings and open weekends make it easy for me to give your pets the attention and care they need while you’re away or at work! Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in yours, I always aim to provide a safe, loving, and stress-free environment that feels familiar and comforting to your pet. I follow your pet’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any medications or special needs. In a client’s home, I respect your space and make sure your pet feels comfortable while you're away—whether that means keeping up with their favorite napping spot, maintaining litter boxes, or providing extra snuggles and attention. Communication is key, so I’ll keep you updated with messages and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands!

What a DOLL and I haven't even MET her yet! I needed a kitty sitter after mine fell ill and Bunny jumped rght in despite her very busy schedule of 2 jobs and going to school! Bunny left me detailed messages about Penny and Ollie along with photos and it made being away from them a lot easier. I had already ckeaned the water fountain and filled it but when she saw it was halfway full, she added more. I would absolutely use her again and I hope that to meet her next time!

Emily was fantastic. She took great care of my cat Jiji while on our first long vacation. Jiji is scared of everyone and everything but with Emily she made friends right away. I was blown away but it also gave me the peace of mind to know she was in great hands!! Would definitely use her again for our next vacation. Very highly recommended 😁

Reliable. Serious (in the 'excellent listener' and strives to understand the pet's needs sort of way). Extremely clear communicator. Trustworthy. Judy was, in a word, a fantastic and reliable dog sitter for our Frenchie Marcel. Highly recommend Judy Knight's services!

Gina was super sweet and patient with my pups. We had a dog going through some healing from a surgery and Gina took good care of him and made sure he took his meds. She communicated and asked questions when she needed to. I appreciated that. Highly recommend Gina.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
