“Melissa was great! She agreed to do this at the last minute and spent an hour with Sophia taking her for a long walk and spending time with her. We appreciate her attitude and promptness.”

“Jessica did an amazing job taking care of our dog, Sky. We needed someone to stop by and let our 100‑pound German Shepherd out while I was at the hospital for my husband’s surgery, and she was exactly who we needed. I was a little nervous since this was Sky’s first time with a sitter, but Jessica put her at ease right away. She’s clearly very comfortable with large dogs and even played ball with her in the yard. She also went above and beyond by letting us know about sparking she noticed from our trees near the power lines—something we really appreciated. We will definitely book her again. She is mature, intelligent, and incredibly reliable. Exactly what pet owners are looking for on Rover.”

About: I am an accredited trainer in basic obedience and own a black lab mobility service dog. Prefer to care for pets in the comfort of their own home. . Available seven days a week in south Vero greater area. Prefer to do all business before dark unless being asked to house sit overnight. About: Hi! My name is Starla, and animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I currently have four dogs of my own and have grown up caring for many different types of animals. My love for pets is what inspired me to start dog walking and pet sitting. I understand that pets are family, and I will care for your furry friend as if they were my own. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or simply providing companionship, I am dedicated to making sure your pet feels safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I am responsible, trustworthy, patient, and passionate about animal care, and I would love the opportunity to meet you and your pet! I look forward to giving your pet the attention, care, and affection they deserve I love all my animals, they are my life. Everything I do revolves around them, so I’m very sure your dog is safe with me! I have a fenced yard in plenty of furry babies. Your dog can play with. I love each animal that comes my way, and respect your animal boundaries by caring for them.

About: I’ve had the opportunity to dog, cat, and house sit for several families, many of whom have trusted me to care for their pets multiple times. I’m dependable, attentive, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I’m happy to help with everything from feeding and letting pets out during the day to playing with them, giving them attention, and keeping them company in the evenings. My goal is to make sure your pets feel comfortable, cared for, and loved while you’re away—and to give you peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands! I work part-time Tuesday through Thursday, typically during the day and finishing by late afternoon. I’m off Friday and Saturday, as well as most of Sunday. On Mondays, I work from 6–9 PM but am available during the day. I’m also a graduate student, which means I spend a good amount of time at home working on schoolwork. This gives me plenty of flexibility to spend time with your pets throughout the day—whether that’s going for a walk, playing, feeding them, letting them out, or simply keeping them company and giving them lots of love and attention. I’m happy to work with your pet’s routine and make sure they get the care and attention they need while you’re away I love spending time with the pets and making sure they feel loved, safe, and cared for while you’re away. I’ll spend quality time with them, play with them, take them on walks when appropriate, and give them plenty of attention and affection. I also understand how important your pet’s routine is. I’ll do my best to follow their normal schedule and routines in your home so they can feel comfortable and secure. Whether they need playtime, a walk, some extra cuddles, or simply someone nearby, I want them to feel happy, safe, and well cared for while you’re away
“Melissa, as always, was so wonderful with our dogs. She spends quality time with them & makes sure their needs are met. She also goes over & above by doing extra things for us while we are away (collects packages, brings in mail, brings in garbage bins etc). I highly recommend her to take care of your pets!”

About: I've had the pleasure of caring for and raising a variety of pets, from rabbits to lizards, to cats and dogs. When it comes to pet care, my special skills are really special values: patience and compassion. Patience allows me to develop meaningful bonds with pets in my care, and compassion gives me the insight to understand that our pets are family, and should be treated as such. I'm a teacher and have the summer available for the next several weeks. My summer availability is open. Once the school year begins, I'll be available evenings and weekends. At home, I care for my own cat, Buddy, by prioritizing her physical and emotional needs. This would include following established feeding, walking, playtime, medication and bathing routines. I would tend to emotional needs with ample attetntion and affection, based on the pet's comfort level and needs. Ultimately, I would care for my clients' pets the same way I care for my own cat.

I’ll also keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages so you can have peace of mind. I can’t wait to meet your furry family!
“Kathleen is so sweet and did a wonderful job taking care of our dogs! The dogs absolutely love her and we received pictures and detailed updates of every visit. We will definitely be repeat customers, it is truly priceless to be able to go out of town and know that the dogs are being so well loved and cared for!”

About: I have been periodically dog sitting for family friends for about the last six years. I have experience with cats as well. I know how to feed, let out, walk, play with, administer medication to and clean up after both dogs and cats. I also really enjoy the job and helping people out in general. I am currently in flight school, so my schedule is all over the place. However, I have a lot of time that I do not need to be on campus/at the airport. I am on a block style schedule so the days of the week I am "on" shift and rotate a bit, but I am more than happy to work out what's best if you reach out. I will always treat your home as if it was my own. I take great care of my home and I wouldn't dream of bringing any harm to yours.
About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 5 years, and it’s truly one of my greatest joys! Whether it's dogs, cats, or small animals, I treat every pet like part of the family. I have experience with pets of all ages, sizes, and temperaments — from playful puppies to senior pets who need a gentler pace and extra care. I’m comfortable with administering medication, following special diets, and keeping up with daily routines to ensure your pet feels safe and loved while you're away. My goal is always to provide dependable, compassionate care that gives both you and your pet peace of mind. As a teacher, my weekday schedule is consistent, and I’m available for pet care after 4 PM Monday through Friday. I’m also fully available on weekends for drop-ins, walks, and overnight care. My flexible evenings and open weekends make it easy for me to give your pets the attention and care they need while you’re away or at work! Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in yours, I always aim to provide a safe, loving, and stress-free environment that feels familiar and comforting to your pet. I follow your pet’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any medications or special needs. In a client’s home, I respect your space and make sure your pet feels comfortable while you're away—whether that means keeping up with their favorite napping spot, maintaining litter boxes, or providing extra snuggles and attention. Communication is key, so I’ll keep you updated with messages and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands!
About: I'm home 22 out of 24 hours in the day. I've had at least 4 pets at all times for as long as I can remember. From dogs, to cats, bantam chickens, lop-eared and Angora bunnies, hamsters, African frogs, turtles, to my sweet potbelly pig, Carnita ("Nita"). Life feels fullest when animals are part of my daily routine. Recently, my Nita unexpectedly passed away (10/26/23). She was like a child to me. Although she left behind 1 dog and 2 cats, the house feels much emptier. Buddy, the dog, says he'd love some company to pick up the mood & keep his heart young. 😌 *In effort to maintain a balanced environment, I require a two (2) night minimum for boarding (2 day min. for daycare)* I work from home; I have plenty of time in-between Zoom calls to love on and attend to your little darlings. Permitting I have a few days notice, I will gladly care for yours during the week & on weekends too. I live in a small gated community in Vero Beach. My yard is not fenced; however, I can/do leash them up as often as needed for potty breaks and longer walks 1-2x daily (anywhere from 1.5-4 miles each go). I run too. My own dog is a little beyond his running days, so I use a jogger. Depending on your pup's activity level, they could run alongside me, or possibly hitch a ride in the stroller! In Your Home (house sitting or drop ins): I am happy to abide by your current schedule, making the transition of your trip easy on your fur babies. I am also resourceful, and will find the best outdoor fun for them, in the case that they need some fun distractions to tire them out!

About: I grew up with 3 dogs and 3 cats in my childhood home. I have one old boy left from then, and I still help out in his senior years. I have groomed those three at home, and since moving into my own house, I dog sit small-large sized dogs, both in my own home and in clients homes. I regularly brush the dog’s teeth, trim nails, bathe, and brush their overcoat. I also take care of the grooming for my own two cats. I’ve grown up around all different types of animals, so I’m ready for any specific needs your pets have. I’m currently unemployed and dog sitting to make money, so I am free at all times of the day and night to care for your pets. I do not have a fenced in yard, but that’s no problem because I do not mind a little outside time to take them outside on the leash. I have a park down the street that I walk the dogs to so they can sniff around and stretch their legs. I can also do any extra food care, brushing, bathing, medication, or any needs you have from me. I can fit a crate if needed, but I don’t require any kind of crate.

“Nicole was incredibly flexible and helpful, bending to my hectic schedule. She was on time and my cat boys absolutely loved her. They were in the best of care and I highly recommend Nicole!”

About: I have been around dogs my entire live and the past 5 or more years I've been taking care of medium sized dogs while staying at the owners house. I have plenty of experience with walking and treating a dog and also giving baths. I would love to take care and play with your animal. I am currently a student at UNF and I don't have time to work a full-time or even a part time real job because of my class schedule. So that is why I wanted to get into dog walking or animal sitting because it is easier for me to work around my class schedule. I currently live in a apartment that is strict about animals so I won't be able to house at my place but I am more than happy to watch at your place or take them somewhere to walk.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Vero Beach
Bunny fed my babies, gave them fresh water, and scooped the litterbox, just as i had said in the instructions I left. She sent me messages every day, and even though my cats hide from strangers, she was able to find them and send pictures. I am very happy with everything.

Emily was fantastic. She took great care of my cat Jiji while on our first long vacation. Jiji is scared of everyone and everything but with Emily she made friends right away. I was blown away but it also gave me the peace of mind to know she was in great hands!! Would definitely use her again for our next vacation. Very highly recommended 😁

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
