“Shelly was wonderful! She took great care of my pups and treated my home with care! She was excellent at communicating with me and sent pictures every visit. She gave my older dog her medicine and even brought my packages inside for me! I highly recommend Shelly for all of your dog sitting needs!”

“Macie provided six days of drop-in visits for my two cats this week. What a super sitter! She was very punctual, and when her schedule needed to vary at all, she let me know ahead of time. She had every characteristic you want to see and experience in an ideal sitter. She was reliable, conscientious, thorough, and highly communicative. She sent Rover report cards immediately following each visit and asked good questions when needed. She made sure to follow all instructions about food, water, and litter box care and did a great job relaying important details about each of these areas. I looked forward to her detailed reports three times a day, and she shared fantastic photos each time. I felt assured my cats were in great hands. Macie is an outstanding sitter, and it is easy to give her a high recommendation.”

About: Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up on a farm, I cared for everything from small livestock to beloved family pets, giving me hands-on experience with a wide variety of animals and personalities. Over the years, I've cared for dogs, cats, rabbits, pot-bellied pigs, sheep, goats, horses, donkeys, cows, reptiles, and amphibians. Most recently, I've provided care for senior dogs and understand the extra patience, compassion, and attention they need as they age. My diverse background allows me to confidently care for pets of all sizes, temperaments, and life stages. Pet care fits well into my current routine. I'm currently attending school to become an airline pilot, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to be available throughout the week for walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting. For house sitting and overnight stays, some advance coordination may be needed since I'm a single dad. I pride myself on being reliable, communicative, and accommodating whenever possible. I believe every pet deserves to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owner is away. Whether I'm caring for your pet in your home or mine, I treat your animals, property, and routines with the utmost respect. I take the time to learn each pet's unique needs, maintain consistent routines, and provide attentive care to help them feel secure and happy. My goal is to give pet owners peace of mind, knowing their furry family members are being cared for with kindness, dignity, and genuine affection.

We love the idea of having a dog but our travel doesn’t allow it that’s why sitting is perfect for us. I would full time from home so I am home everyday. “Yaretzi or Nina was very punctually and I didn't have a worry with my fur babies while she was watching them. The only thing I would suggest is that she be more attentive to my dogs in the 30 minute window of the drop in service”

About: I have been periodically dog sitting for family friends for about the last six years. I have experience with cats as well. I know how to feed, let out, walk, play with, administer medication to and clean up after both dogs and cats. I also really enjoy the job and helping people out in general. I am currently in flight school, so my schedule is all over the place. However, I have a lot of time that I do not need to be on campus/at the airport. I am on a block style schedule so the days of the week I am "on" shift and rotate a bit, but I am more than happy to work out what's best if you reach out. I will always treat your home as if it was my own. I take great care of my home and I wouldn't dream of bringing any harm to yours.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
