“Valerie was wonderful. She took precautions such as a meet and greet prior to watching them and requested vaccination records which made me feel comforted. Valerie was very responsive and accommodating and she did a fantastic job at sending photo and video updates.”

“Another great stay with Giselle! She takes such great care of Sukie and is in contact every day with photos and videos. Sukie loves her stays and the adventures they go on. Thank you so much!”

“Always the best best experience. Our girl loves to be with Keyla and we are so thankful to have found her. We are confident and comfortable anytime we go out of town. She is the best!!!”

About: I’ve always had a deep love for animals and have cared for both cats and dogs over the years. I’m patient, reliable, and treat every pet like family. I am available Monday through Friday anytime and have open availability on the weekends. Happy to accommodate changing schedules. At this time I am doing pet sitting full time. I am not available to bring animals into my home because I live in an apartment and would need to pay and get approval to have an animal in the unit. I’m happy to care for pets in their own familiar environment where they feel safe and comfortable.
“Donna, is a perfect sitter. She made sure to send photos and videos every day. Her dog Bodi played with my dog constantly and that helped to take her mind off missing me. She was given some medicine and she was very well cared for. I highly recommend her”

“Super sweet! She was very accommodating to a last minute request. I dropped off my cat for the night and she provided her with a separate room since she has a dog. Overall great experience and would leave my fur baby with her again!”

About: Hi, I am currently a nursing student at UNR! I have had dogs my whole life so I understand the commitment and responsibility it takes to have a dog. I have a small dog currently who I rescued about 5 years ago. She was abandoned at a dog boarding place :,(. I will respect any training regimens you have in place! I love dogs and understand them so dogsitting is truly enjoyable for me. I can provide recommendations as needed! I understand it can be hard to trust people with your precious pets so let me know if there’s anything I can do to ease your mind! I am a student at Orvis nursing school, UNR which means I have classes and a 13 hr clinical shift on Fridays. I try not to schedule on Fridays unless owners are aware of my schedule. I will be fully upfront with you about my availability and how it interacts with your pet’s needs! Message me for clarification or questions! I have a fenced yard with lots of squirrels to chase and pet safe plants! I have a little dog who is friendly but not always energetic. I’ve never had any issues with pet sitting other dogs with her but if they interact, I’d like for them to meet beforehand. At your home I will of course respect any rules you have for me or your dogs. My dog does not need to come with me. I have raised dogs and understand the importance to maintain training regimens so I can do that. However, it is not my place to enforce these if you have not asked, I will respect the way you raise your fur baby!
“Morgan was an amazing dog sitter for our dog Minnie while we were away for four days. She was friendly, professional, and went above and beyond. She sent plenty of updates, pictures, and videos, which gave us real peace of mind. We could tell Minnie was well cared for the entire time. Highly recommend!”

“Liannis was great. Constantly kept my up to date with how my dog was getting on. Her place was huge so he had tons of space to run around and explore. Will 100% be using Liannis again in the future!”

About: Hi! I’m Alaina, a lifelong dog lover and experienced dog mom. For the past 10 years, I cared for my own beloved dog, Teddy, through every stage of life, including senior care and complex medical needs. Teddy recently passed from cancer, and I am experienced with this level of sensitivity and need. Through that experience, I learned patience, attention to detail, and how important it is to treat every pet like family. I’m active, dependable, and love spending time outdoors, whether that’s neighborhood walks, playtime, or simply providing companionship while you’re away. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, and I pride myself on clear communication, reliability, and giving each dog the individual attention they deserve. Whether your pup is energetic and loves adventure or prefers a slower pace and extra cuddles, I’m happy to tailor their care to their unique personality and needs. I look forward to meeting your furry family member! Pets naturally fit into my daily routine because I enjoy being active and spending time outdoors. I start most mornings with a walk and have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide reliable drop-in visits, walks, and companionship throughout the day. Whether your pet needs exercise, playtime, potty breaks, medication reminders, or simply some extra attention while you’re away, I am committed to making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and look forward to making them part of my day. Your pet’s safety and well-being are always my top priorities. As a longtime dog owner, including caring for a senior dog with medical needs, I understand the importance of following routines, monitoring behavior, and paying attention to the small details that matter. I will always respect your instructions regarding feeding, medications, exercise, and household rules. During walks and visits, I prioritize leash safety, hydration, and positive interactions while providing updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.

“Awesome care and love for my Pauly. Received pictures everyday, Aida and Robert took Pauly out for his walk three times a day: Early in the morning, middle day and evening, and they sent me pictures of each one of his walks. They also played with Pauly and allowed him to take naps in their couch, just like he does here at home. Pauly was, literally, spending some time with his second family 🥰😍”

“Five stars is hardly enough to measure Larisa’s outstanding services. I was very fortunate to find such a wonderful sitter for my golden retriever. Larisa went above and beyond to provide the best possible care. She vastly outshines any other dog sitter that I have worked with in the south Florida area. My golden and I both look forward to working with Larisa and her loving family again in the future. Thank you so very much!”

“Kim was so great! Drop off and pick up was easy and Rocky seemed to love his weekend stay! She sent multiple photos and videos of his stay and he even got to bring home a toy! Thanks so much for taking such great care of our furbaby!”

Valerie was amazing! She and Oliver took such good care of my girls. Valerie was very communicative, sent lots of pictures and was incredibly flexible with pick up and drop offs. I hate leaving my girls and it’s so hard trusting new people with them, but Valerie made the process so seamless and easy. Oliver was also so wonderful and friendly with both my 9 pound baby and my 70 pound baby. I would recommend Valerie to anyone looking for their new pet sitter. Thanks, Valerie! The girls can’t wait to go back :)

This was Willow's first time to stay with Dianne and Rob. Willow is shy so I was very pleased that within an hour of dropping Willow off, I received 2 photos and a short message which assured me that she was doing fine. When I first met Dianne and Rob, they informed me what their exercise and safety procedures were and told me a little about themselves, which helped me decide that their home would be a good place for my dog. Toward the end of Willow's stay, I received a video showing Willow exploring their backyard, which was something new for her. The fact that Willow fell asleep during the ride home told me she had a good day. She will be going back for another day with Dianne and Rob.

We love our furry baby so much it is hard to go away but when we do she goes to summer camp at Barbara’s and we know she is very well taken care of. We get tons of pictures, it helps us a lot. Barbara is a great communicator and always let us know if Gucci gets picky with her food or anything she is worried about. Now that she had enough “summer camps” she felt comfortable taking her to the beach, they had a blast. We loved the pictures and seeing her in her favorite adventure. We are very fortunate to have found her.

Daniel and Madison were awesome. Our dog came back to us super happy and tired! They communicated well and sent us plenty of photos/videos while we were away. Their dog is super friendly and she and Jack were two peas in a pod. Highly recommend and will definitely be repeat customers!!

This was my first time using Rover. I am so happy to say how impressed I was with Jaclyn and Kenneth. Jaclyn offered to visit with me before leaving Dixie and Toby. It was a pleasure meeting with Jaclyn before leaving them. We got to know each other, and it was very comfortable speaking with her…. I would absolutely refer both Jacklyn and Kenneth as I will reach out to them again when needed. Thank you Jackie and Ken for the TLC for Dixie and Toby. Until the next time!

Donna was awesome! Our French bulldog Fergus felt right at home with Donna and her family. We left Fergus for 4 days and she provided plenty of updates and pictures. He was one happy pup at her home. I’d recommend Donna for sure and we will be using her services again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
