“Liannis provided exceptional care for my dog Sam, brightening each day of his absence with delightful updates, videos, and photos. It was comforting to see Sam so joyful exploring Liannis' property, a perfect area for his endless energy. Her dedication to Sam earned my complete trust, making it easy for me to recommend her to anyone in search of a compassionate and skilled caretaker for their furry loved one!”

“Wendy did a great job taking care of Hunter for a weekend. She sent us photos and updates about her activities with Hunter each day. She followed the instructions we gave her about Hunter very carefully. We were very happy that Hunter received such good care during his stay with Wendy.”

“Rebecca was great. We felt very comfortable and happy with the care she gave our pup. We are very happy that she did a meet and greet, we always want to make sure the dogs all get along. She sent us pictures and updates, her dog is very friendly and smart. We will definitely use again!”

“Barbara and Joe took care of our 3 yr old Golden Retriever Hazel. I felt very good leaving Hazel with Barbara after our meet and greet. Hazel had fun playing with her golden Maggie. This was Hazel's first time being away from us overnight and she was happy to see us when we picked her up. Barbara took very good care of Hazel and I am happy to have found her. I will now be able to go on vacation with a clear head knowing Hazel is in a good home and being cared for.”

“Jane B is absolutely wonderful, she kept me updated with photos, offered to take Peanut a bath prior to pick up and I could tell how excited Peanut was to be there and to play with all the other dogs. She is extremely knowledgeable and passionate. I can’t wait to book with her again!”

“We left our 4-month-old puppy with Gabriella for the first time, and it was such a great experience. From the meet-and-greet, I immediately felt a connection — she was very kind, respectful, and friendly. Gabriella kept us updated multiple times a day with honest reports about how our puppy was doing. Managing a very energetic puppy isn’t easy, but she handled everything with care and patience. She also sent us videos and pictures, which really helped us feel relaxed and confident that our dog was in good hands. Our puppy was clearly very happy with Gabriella, and we couldn’t be more grateful. We highly recommend her as a sitter — she truly cares! Thank you so much,Gabriella.”

“simply put Valerie was amazing. She sent us amazing videos and updates of our pup everyday and was on top of everything. My wife and I were nervous about having our pup be watched by someone else for the first time while we were away and Valerie put your worries to bed. Could not recommend someone more and will 100% be working with Valerie again 12/10!!”

“It was the first time we used Rover and Valerie exceeded our expectations. She sent texts throughout our dogs stay and lots of pictures. She made us feel so much better as it was the first time we left them with someone other than family. In addition. We booked with her last minute. Thank you Valerie for taking care of our babies and we look forward to using you again in the future.”
“Chanelis is hands down the best! We are new in town and my dog who is very selective warmed you to her right away. My anxiety was eased the whole trip and I know my pup has so much fun with her and Hope!”

About: I have grown up with animals of all kinds ever since I was a little girl. I am the go to caregiver for my family members whenever they go out of town and need a babysitter for their pets. I also volunteered at my local pet shelter for about a year to play with the kittens and puppies and provided daily care such as; regular bathroom maintenance, feeding, brushing, and my favorite, playtime! I work full time as a Research Assistant but I am able to walk or do check ins throughout the evenings after 4p.m. or early mornings before 8a.m. I am also able to stay overnight if needed. Fortunately, weekends are open to take care of your pets all day. I live with a hairless sassy kitten named Phoenix and a senior boxer named Boss. He is not as sweet to other dogs but loves a good cuddle. This has taught me how to read body language and learn boundaries with pets, especially lots of patience.
“Caroline did a phenomenal job taking care of our pups. We were gone for almost two weeks and she sent us photos and messages every day. It was clear that our doggies were happy, having fun, and getting all the attention they needed the entire time. Having such great communication and seeing our doggies enjoying their time enabled us to have a stress free vacation with no worries 😊”

About: I bring genuine enthusiasm and reliability to every pet I care for. With my afternoons and evenings consistently available, I'm there when most pet owners need help- during the workday stretch when dogs need a break and that important evening routine when you're stuck at the office. What makes my approach different is that I truly pay attention to each pet's individual personality. Some dogs need a high-energy adventure walk, while others prefer a leisurely stroll with plenty of sniff breaks. I adapt to what makes your pet happiest and most comfortable, not what's easiest for me. I'm observant and communicative. If I notice anything unusual- a change in appetite, energy level, or behavior- I'll let you know right away. I understand that pets can't tell us when something's wrong, so I stay alert and keep you informed with regular photo updates. I also respect that inviting someone into your home requires trust. I'm punctual, follow instructions carefully, and treat your space with care. You'll never wonder if I showed up or how your pet is doing, I make sure you have that peace of mind. While I'm still growing my professional pet care experience, I approach every dog with patience, care, and a commitment to making sure they feel safe and happy while you're away. Your pet isn't just another appointment on my calendar- they get my full attention and care. Pet care is a natural fit for my schedule and lifestyle. With my part-time job ending in the early afternoon, I'm consistently available from afternoon through evening, which means I can offer flexible walking times, accommodate pets who need midday attention, and be there for evening routines when many pet parents are still at work. I build my week around the pets in my care. I keep my afternoons and evenings open specifically for walks, drop-in visits, and quality time with your furry family members. This isn't something I squeeze in between other commitments, it's a priority I plan for. My routine includes daily walks for my own household, so adding your pup to our route or stopping by for a visit fits seamlessly into what I'm already doing. I'm also home in the evenings, which means I can handle last-minute requests or provide updates with photos after our time together. Whether your dog needs a consistent daily walk at 3pm or you're looking for someone reliable for afternoon drop-ins, my schedule allows me to be dependable and present for your pet's needs. For dog walking, I tailor each walk to your dog's energy level and needs. I start by learning their temperament, any commands they know, and walking preferences. During walks, I keep them engaged and safe, monitoring their behavior, keeping a secure leash grip, and watching for any signs of discomfort or stress. I always bring water for longer walks, pick up after them, and take different routes to keep things interesting. Before heading out, I ensure doors and gates are properly secured, and when we return, I make sure your pup is settled with fresh water. For drop-in visits, I follow your routine as closely as possible to minimize disruption for your pet. I'll feed them according to your schedule and instructions, refresh water bowls, administer any medications if needed, and give them the attention and playtime they crave. I also do a quick home check, securing doors, bringing in mail or packages if requested, and making sure everything is as it should be. I always send photo updates so you can see your pet is happy and well-cared for while you're away. Safety is my top priority in both services. I'm attentive to your pet's body language, careful about potential hazards during walks (other dogs, traffic, weather), and respectful of your home and belongings during visits. I treat every pet like they're my own and every home like it's my responsibility to protect.
“This is the second time we had Yuliet and Kevin watch our chihuahua Rosie. They made her feel calm and safe. We felt comfortable leaving her with them and highly recommend them as per sitters.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Juno Beach
Barkley had another amazing stay with Giselle and Chris! He looks so happy in every photo and absolutely loves their dog Prince! Giselle once again provided several updates, photos and videos that kept us feeling so good about the care Barkley is in! She and Chris will always be our go to sitters!

Carmella was an absolute lifesaver! She stepped in last minute to watch my dogs, Romeo and Sadie, and they absolutely love her. She already knows them well, and it shows — they were happy, calm, and so well cared for while I was away. It’s such a relief to have someone so kind and dependable that my dogs loved. Highly recommend her for anyone looking for trustworthy pet care!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
