“Jeff is extremely friendly and accommodating to my dog’s needs! Knows how to handle big dogs and that is a must when you got a a large breed one! On time, responsible and attentive! Hoping to have him working with my dog often!”
“Elise did a great job taking care of Teddy and jumping in when we were in need of a dog walker in a very short notice. She also was able to jump in and help with giving Teddy his medicine. We highly recommend her!”

“Having Heather walk and watch our beloved June Bug was the best decision we could have made while making a difficult decision leaving our pup for 2 weeks. She has the upmost respect and love for our dog. This is the first time our dog has ever been with a sitter, and we can tell she already misses Heather. We highly recommend Heather because she loved and treated our dogs as we would.”

“Jacob has been an excellent dog walker for Samuel. He is dependable, trustworthy, and always communicates well. I highly recommend Jacob to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog walker.”

“I highly recommend this dog walker! He was extremely reliable, professional, and clearly cared about my dog. His updates were very detailed and descriptive, which gave me great peace of mind while I was away. He always kept me informed about the walk, my dog’s behavior, and anything noteworthy. I truly appreciated the thorough communication and excellent care he provided.”

About: I’m Heather! I live in a gated community with my five year old chiweenie Roo. I’m in my mid thirties, working from home full time so I have flexibility to be with your pup all day if needed. I've had my own dogs for my entire life and watched animals and children for the last 20 years - I was even a nanny in college, so very familiar to care taking! I love all dogs and promise to treat your pup like it’s my own (snuggles on the couch, treats, walks and all). I work from home full time so having your pet with me makes no major impact on my routine! They will be a plus one to all the things I already do with my dog - three walks per day, hanging on the couch, watching me work in the office, etc. They won't ever be alone. I have a fenced yard, and I have my pup to keep them company. I have a crate they can use as well if needed.
About: Degree from Purdue University in Animal Sciences. Extensive veterinary experience of 12 years with various animal breeds and species. Worked with laboratory animals for 5 years. Someone you can always trust and depend on for all of your pets needs. I excel in high stress/emergency situations. I currently work in a flexible remote position. This will allow me time to spend outside of my home doing what I love, helping animals. I care for pets by providing all of their needs plus the extra love they all deserve. I care for all animals as if they are my own. Exercise and mental stimulation is extremely important for healthy, happy pets.
“Patrick is friendly, patient, and very personable. My girl wasn’t excited about walking with a stranger but he’s managed to, through hook, crook, bribery, and patience, win her tacit agreement. I think she almost kind of likes him now! All joking aside, he’s been really great with ZoZo during a hard period of transition. We are grateful and will definitely be repeat customers.”

“Marvin is excellent. A good communicator with reasonable services. He’s great with Koda and I appreciate the updates from his rover card after the walk. Will be using him again.”

“Kayla was absolutely a live saver for being able to take my pup out on such short notice. She took plenty of photos and wrote up such a cute and lovely summary of how the visit went. I really appreciated her promptness and amazing response time, will definitely book again in the future. 10/10 recommend ☺️”

About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of dogs since I was around 10 years old, having my own black lab since I was 12. I love dogs of all shapes and sizes and I understand the love and attention they require. Each puppy is unique in their own way and I know each new pet will be a learning experience. I will make sure your beautiful baby is happy while you are away. Please note: • I prefer meeting in person or over the phone before officially booking the service with you. I reserve the right to not book with you after talking, if the circumstances aren’t right for me or I don’t feel comfortable. • I can walk dogs of all sizes, however it will depend on how much your dog pulls on the leash. If I feel your dog is too strong for me and I don’t feel comfortable walking them, I will not move forward with the booking. • When completing a booking, I will assume that every light and appliance left on was done so on purpose and will not turn them off unless I’m told to. • I will assume I am the only person entering and leaving your household. Please let me know beforehand if there will be other people coming and going so I am not concerned if something is out of place. I have a full time job where I work 40 hours a week from 9-5, however I am fully remote. I am flexible on when I can come to watch your pets, and if need be I am willing to work remote from your house/apartment to keep your pet company. I personally live in a 2x2 apartment with my two kids (my cats). We just recently adopted our second one and they are still learning to get along, so due to that I am not willing to board an animal at my place yet.

Saturdays I am typically available after 5 pm I have a large fenced in yard and the sweetest mini Aussie that loves company. I also have a rabbit that is dog/cat friendly but is in his own room and enclosure.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
