Somyr did a great job with my pups. One of my dogs will bark your head off and I was a little nervous. After a few treats she told me he was fine and that was amazing to hear and let me know he was comfortable with her. I received the cutest pictures and will be booking again!

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and other pets since I was 10 years old. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, play with, and care for their pets while they were away. I am responsible, dependable, and attentive to each pet’s individual needs. My experience in customer service has taught me excellent communication skills, and I understand the importance of keeping pet owners updated and giving them peace of mind. I love animals and treat every pet as if they were my own. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine by making sure pets are fed on a consistent schedule, have fresh water, and receive plenty of attention, exercise, and playtime. I also keep their living area clean and monitor their health and behavior each day. Throughout the week, I set aside time for grooming, cleaning bedding and supplies, and making sure they have everything they need to stay healthy and comfortable. Providing reliable, compassionate care is important to me, and I enjoy creating a safe and happy environment for animals. I provide attentive and reliable pet care by following each pet's routine, including feeding, fresh water, exercise, playtime, and any special instructions from the owner. At my home, I have a fenced yard that provides a safe space for dogs to play and exercise under supervision. In a client's home, I respect their routines and care instructions, keep the pet comfortable in their familiar environment, and ensure the home is left clean and secure. I also monitor pets for any changes in behavior or health and communicate updates to owners so they can feel confident their pets are receiving excellent care. I enjoy sending regular photos and videos so owners can see how their pets are doing and feel connected while they're away.

About: I’ve been around dogs and pets for most of my life and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. Whether it’s going for walks, playing, providing companionship, or sticking to a pet’s normal routine, I take pride in making sure they feel comfortable and well cared for while their owners are away. I understand how important trust is when someone is caring for your pet, so I always focus on being reliable, communicative, and attentive to each animal’s individual needs. I’m comfortable with dogs of different sizes and energy levels and am happy to provide updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. My goal is simple: treat every pet as if they were my own and make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and care. My schedule allows me to be available during mornings, late evenings, and overnight. I work in the afternoons and evenings, but I’m happy to work with pet owners to make sure their pets receive the care, attention, and exercise they need. Your pet’s safety and well-being are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, preferences, and any special instructions to ensure they receive the best possible care. I believe in clear communication and will provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident knowing your pet is in good hands. I understand that every animal is different, and I always approach pets with patience, attentiveness, and respect for their comfort level. About: What sets me apart is my hands-on experience with diverse dog personalities. In addition to growing up with dogs in the home, I regularly volunteer as a dog walker at a local shelter. This has taught me how to read canine body language, manage all energy levels, and provide patient, tailored care. I'm currently working full-time on a 9 to 5 schedule and have evenings and weekends free to care for your dog. I can stay overnight as needed, too. Safety and routine are my top priorities. I will follow your rules to keep your dog happy and comfortable. You can always count on a safe environment and frequent photo updates.

Apart from that I have watched and walked neighbor and family friends' dogs! I have experience dealing with dogs on strict diets and certain walking schedules. I also have experience with taking care of senior dogs. All deserve the same love and respect no matter the type or breed. I currently have no other job. I am available for check ins in between 10am (earlier if needed) and 8pm on the weekdays. My schedule does vary on the weekend but base hours for check ins are 10am till 7pm! Consultation regarding times for house sitting are open always! I have experience regarding crating the dog. I have no dogs at the moment at my house and currently am not offering services at my house. I always provide a good amount of play time and long walks for each pet but make sure they are comfortable with my presence first.

About: I have taken care of dogs for many years. I currently have 2 dogs. One is diabetic so I have plenty of experience at giving shots. I am a certified pet sitter and also recently passed a pet CPR certification. I recently retired, so would have plenty of time to hang out with your pet. Walking them, playing with them, all brings joy to me and therefore happiness to the pet! I have a fully fenced in large back yard and two dogs at home that are very good with other dogs, if you opt to have me watch them at my house. Your pet will be very comfortable and happy! I can also care for pets in your home, just need a break to come home and give my dog her insulin shots every 12 hours.

About: Welcome to “God’s Creatures Pet Sitting”. I am Cheryl. I come from a family of animal “whisperers” … have been taking care of dogs and cats since I was about 10 years old! God loves all his creatures, so give me the privilege of being a short-term caretaker for yours! I’m open to animals that others might consider too difficult, such as seniors or special needs pets. My schedule is extremely flexible! I am a teacher/tutor, so I do have some students, but my schedule is very easy to work around. 😃 Whatever the setting, I will care for your pets as though they are my own! Your dog, cat, or other animal will be well taken care of.

About: I’ve had a dog for 15 years and have taken care of many of my friends, family’s and neighbors dogs as well. I’ve always gotten good reviews and really enjoy spending time with the pups whether it’s feeding them, walking them or playing with them. My schedule is pretty open right now, so I’m very flexible with walking and feeding and boarding. I always prioritize taking care of animals before I attend any other plans. I have a fenced back yard all around with lots of trees for the pups to play in. I also keep small things out of dog’s reach that could be potential chewing or swallowing hazards.

About: I have been around animals since I was born and I am very comfortable around them. I have a dog and three cats, myself and have been the sole person responsible for their care. I have also cared for other people’s pets, dogs and cats of all sizes, since I was in high school. I’ve had experience with administering medication, walking/playing, and cleaning up after animals. I know our pets are like members of the family and I would love to care for your fur babies like they are my own! I am currently in school that is taking place online and have a very open and flexible schedule, so plenty of time to love on your pets! I have a nice, large patio available for romping around on in the sunshine. My neighborhood is very dog friendly and has lots of shady sidewalks to take a stroll on. I also have a nice dog park, for big and small, less than 5 miles away. I have a 5 year old rescue dog who is very sweet and gets along with others when comfortable.

About: I bring genuine enthusiasm and reliability to every pet I care for. With my afternoons and evenings consistently available, I'm there when most pet owners need help- during the workday stretch when dogs need a break and that important evening routine when you're stuck at the office. What makes my approach different is that I truly pay attention to each pet's individual personality. Some dogs need a high-energy adventure walk, while others prefer a leisurely stroll with plenty of sniff breaks. I adapt to what makes your pet happiest and most comfortable, not what's easiest for me. I'm observant and communicative. If I notice anything unusual- a change in appetite, energy level, or behavior- I'll let you know right away. I understand that pets can't tell us when something's wrong, so I stay alert and keep you informed with regular photo updates. I also respect that inviting someone into your home requires trust. I'm punctual, follow instructions carefully, and treat your space with care. You'll never wonder if I showed up or how your pet is doing, I make sure you have that peace of mind. While I'm still growing my professional pet care experience, I approach every dog with patience, care, and a commitment to making sure they feel safe and happy while you're away. Your pet isn't just another appointment on my calendar- they get my full attention and care. Pet care is a natural fit for my schedule and lifestyle. With my part-time job ending in the early afternoon, I'm consistently available from afternoon through evening, which means I can offer flexible walking times, accommodate pets who need midday attention, and be there for evening routines when many pet parents are still at work. I build my week around the pets in my care. I keep my afternoons and evenings open specifically for walks, drop-in visits, and quality time with your furry family members. This isn't something I squeeze in between other commitments, it's a priority I plan for. My routine includes daily walks for my own household, so adding your pup to our route or stopping by for a visit fits seamlessly into what I'm already doing. I'm also home in the evenings, which means I can handle last-minute requests or provide updates with photos after our time together. Whether your dog needs a consistent daily walk at 3pm or you're looking for someone reliable for afternoon drop-ins, my schedule allows me to be dependable and present for your pet's needs. For dog walking, I tailor each walk to your dog's energy level and needs. I start by learning their temperament, any commands they know, and walking preferences. During walks, I keep them engaged and safe, monitoring their behavior, keeping a secure leash grip, and watching for any signs of discomfort or stress. I always bring water for longer walks, pick up after them, and take different routes to keep things interesting. Before heading out, I ensure doors and gates are properly secured, and when we return, I make sure your pup is settled with fresh water. For drop-in visits, I follow your routine as closely as possible to minimize disruption for your pet. I'll feed them according to your schedule and instructions, refresh water bowls, administer any medications if needed, and give them the attention and playtime they crave. I also do a quick home check, securing doors, bringing in mail or packages if requested, and making sure everything is as it should be. I always send photo updates so you can see your pet is happy and well-cared for while you're away. Safety is my top priority in both services. I'm attentive to your pet's body language, careful about potential hazards during walks (other dogs, traffic, weather), and respectful of your home and belongings during visits. I treat every pet like they're my own and every home like it's my responsibility to protect.

Zoey was absolutely wonderful with our two high-energy dogs! We were a little nervous leaving them for a few days esp since one of them can be a little anxious around new people, but Zoey handled them like a pro. She kept them active, happy, and well-cared for, and sent us updates that gave us total peace of mind while we were away. We'll definitely be booking with Zoey again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
