About: I overcame an initial childhood fear of dogs by firstly rescuing a senior mutt as a family, aptly named Scruffy, before then adopting a Golden Retriever puppy, Angus, who I grew up with as a brother. This instilled the responsibility and love only an owner can truly understand that I have carried with me since. In addition to the dogs, my childhood was also filled with adopting and looking after pets of all shapes and sizes - with multiple cats co-existing in peace, rodents, reptiles, birds... So am no stranger to knowing how to juggle a zoo. After I lost my best friend Angus, my partner and I bought a Retriever puppy of our own, Roo, nearly 6 years ago, who is my entire world. I personally trained her from a baby velociraptor to the angel she is today and a registered service animal, with everyone who meets her praising how well behaved and perfect she is. Alongside raising her, I have also dog-sat, walked, and helped train numerous friends and neighbours dogs over the years - of varying ages, breeds and temperaments. This includes a senior, German Shepherd rescue who is unfortunately, aggressively reactive and therefore requires extra attention and care when in my responsibility. In addition to multiple puppies at various stages of development, introducing them to social situations for the first times and learning basic behavioural commands. I am also experienced and comfortable walking two strong dogs at a time, incase your household comes with double trouble. As a result, and as an owner myself, I understand and respect the individual requirements of each dog to ensure your loved ones are most comfortable when I am trusted to look after them. I am currently not working so am available 24/7. As a result, your pet will be my main and sole responsibility in my current situation. Again, as an owner myself, I know the trust and responsibility that comes with looking after our pets. I also know what we expect as owners so I can promise you will definitely receive too many photos and regular updates as a minimum to give you peace of mind at all times. I also am no stranger to fussy eaters or sensitive stomachs as I have navigated that with Roo all her life as well as knowing what constitutes a proper walk and ensuring our dogs are well exercised.

“Jill is such an amazing sitter! I normally would choose a sitter with a lower rate, but I was trying to find someone in a pinch so it was my best option at the time. I have chosen her multiple times since then—I’m not sure I ever want to go back to the cheaper sitters! You definitely get what you pay for. She keeps me updated on SO much information—all the little details that I would feel uncomfortable asking anyone for—so I never have to worry about anything. I get to know exactly what she fed him, how much of it he ate, what was in the litter box, and what they did together during her visit. Plus multiple pics each visit! She seemed so genuinely fond of him too, which adds extra peace of mind. She also made it a priority to come at the exact times I requested. She never brought anyone else with her into my home, which was good because that always makes me nervous when sitters do that. To top it all off, she battled my garbage disposal acting up and cleaned up any kitty vomit. A real trooper! Lastly, she was observant and careful with my home, so it felt like I had a house sitter too. We did a meet and greet before officially booking the first time, and she was timely and organized for that as well and asked all the important questions. She also has a flexible cancellation policy which I didn’t need but I appreciate just in case! Just to note—my kitty is geriatric with tummy issues and needs specific food preparation instructions. I’ve booked Jill for three visits per day for a full week trip plus a couple weekend trips. I’m always anxious to leave my kitty, but Jill is a pro! Highly recommend!!”

I currently have two dogs and a cat of my own. Friends and family regularly trust me to care for their pets while they’re away. I understand that every pet is different and will treat yours with the same care, patience, and attention I give my own. I also have experience feeding and caring for turtles, rabbits and fish. Pet care is part of my daily routine! I work remotely full-time, which gives me the flexibility to provide reliable and consistent care. If I feel your dog is too strong for me and I don’t feel comfortable walking them, I will not move forward with the booking. • When completing a booking, I will assume that every light and appliance left on was done so on purpose and will not turn them off unless I’m told to. • I will assume I am the only person entering and leaving your household. Please let me know beforehand if there will be other people coming and going so I am not concerned if something is out of place. I have a full time job where I work 40 hours a week from 9-5, however I am fully remote. I am flexible on when I can come to watch your pets, and if need be I am willing to work remote from your house/apartment to keep your pet company. I personally live in a 2x2 apartment with my two kids (my cats). We just recently adopted our second one and they are still learning to get along, so due to that I am not willing to board an animal at my place yet.

About: I overcame an initial childhood fear of dogs by firstly rescuing a senior mutt as a family, aptly named Scruffy, before then adopting a Golden Retriever puppy, Angus, who I grew up with as a brother. This instilled the responsibility and love only an owner can truly understand that I have carried with me since. In addition to the dogs, my childhood was also filled with adopting and looking after pets of all shapes and sizes - with multiple cats co-existing in peace, rodents, reptiles, birds... So am no stranger to knowing how to juggle a zoo. After I lost my best friend Angus, my partner and I bought a Retriever puppy of our own, Roo, nearly 6 years ago, who is my entire world. I personally trained her from a baby velociraptor to the angel she is today and a registered service animal, with everyone who meets her praising how well behaved and perfect she is. Alongside raising her, I have also dog-sat, walked, and helped train numerous friends and neighbours dogs over the years - of varying ages, breeds and temperaments. This includes a senior, German Shepherd rescue who is unfortunately, aggressively reactive and therefore requires extra attention and care when in my responsibility. In addition to multiple puppies at various stages of development, introducing them to social situations for the first times and learning basic behavioural commands. I am also experienced and comfortable walking two strong dogs at a time, incase your household comes with double trouble. As a result, and as an owner myself, I understand and respect the individual requirements of each dog to ensure your loved ones are most comfortable when I am trusted to look after them. I am currently not working so am available 24/7. As a result, your pet will be my main and sole responsibility in my current situation. Again, as an owner myself, I know the trust and responsibility that comes with looking after our pets. I also know what we expect as owners so I can promise you will definitely receive too many photos and regular updates as a minimum to give you peace of mind at all times. I also am no stranger to fussy eaters or sensitive stomachs as I have navigated that with Roo all her life as well as knowing what constitutes a proper walk and ensuring our dogs are well exercised.

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life. I grew up on a farm, so caring for animals has always come naturally to me. I’ve raised and puppy-trained dogs, have experience with exotic animals, and understand that every pet is different. I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. My schedule gives me plenty of flexibility for pet care. I’m free all day Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. On Tuesdays and Fridays, I only work a short evening shift, and on weekends I work until about 4:30pm. That leaves me with lots of time to make sure your pet gets the attention, walks, and care they need. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. My apartment community has a fenced dog park for safe outdoor play, along with plenty of sidewalks and green spaces for walks. While my apartment is on the smaller side, your pet will have lots of opportunities for exercise, enrichment, and one on attention during their stay.

Layne and I are very very peculiar about who our baby stays with and we require a meet and greet before any stay in order for us to get a general idea of where our boy is staying, and for the owner to feel comfortable with him as well. Martin was very hospitable and made us feel very comfortable from the moment we arrived to his home. He gave us a tour of the premises while we discuss Barley's daily activities, feedings, and behavior. He sent pictures while Barley was staying at his home which provided us a great amount of comfort. Martin was also flexible on our drop off and pick up time as we had a few little delays which prevented us to get to his home right on time. I loved Martin's honest feedback during Barleys' stay, and feel extremely comfortable leaving him on vacation with Martin and his wife for future vacations!
