“Karen is wonderful; professional, patient, and genuinely invested in getting to know your dog. Ours takes time to build trust with new people, and she has been incredibly thoughtful working with Sabre. We highly recommend her!”

About: What sets me apart is the attentive, individualized care I provide. I focus on calm, low-stress walks and making sure each dog feels safe, comfortable, and cared for. I’m patient with puppies and gentle with senior dogs, and I’m happy to reinforce basic training, leash manners, routines, and provide medication reminders when needed. I pay close attention to your dog’s energy level and adjust walks to their pace and personality. Your dog’s safety and well-being always come first, and I treat every pup with the same care and respect I’d want for my own. I have a flexible schedule, so I can accommodate walks and visits at times that work best for your sweet dogs and your schedule as needed. I provide attentive, low-stress care tailored to each pet’s needs. I take dogs on walks at a pace that suits them, follow their routines for feeding, potty breaks, and rest, and give plenty of attention, play, and reassurance. I also follow any special instructions from owners, including medication, training reinforcement, or behavior guidance, to make sure every pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for.
“Having Heather walk and watch our beloved June Bug was the best decision we could have made while making a difficult decision leaving our pup for 2 weeks. She has the upmost respect and love for our dog. This is the first time our dog has ever been with a sitter, and we can tell she already misses Heather. We highly recommend Heather because she loved and treated our dogs as we would.”

“Jeffery is amazing. I got really sick and could not walk my dog. Jeffery responded quickly to my request for 3 days/3 walks a day. He was always on time, excellent communication skills and very friendly. My dog Gracie would run to the door to greet him and absolutely adored Jeffery. They walked and played ball. I think she is still waiting for him to come to the door again. I would highly recommend Jeffery. He is consistent, timely and a dog whisperer. It is obvious he loves what he does. I will definitely be contacting him again. Thanks Jeffery! You really saved me in desperate time of need :-))”

“Elise did a great job taking care of Teddy and jumping in when we were in need of a dog walker in a very short notice. She also was able to jump in and help with giving Teddy his medicine. We highly recommend her!”

“Ellen walked our dog Max daily during the week and we were very impressed from start to finish. She was always on time which gave us peace of mind while we were at work. Ellen always sent photos of Max during the walk, and she made sure his water was refilled before leaving. We highly recommend Ellen to anyone looking for a caring and reliable walker!”

About: Degree from Purdue University in Animal Sciences. Extensive veterinary experience of 12 years with various animal breeds and species. Worked with laboratory animals for 5 years. Someone you can always trust and depend on for all of your pets needs. I excel in high stress/emergency situations. I currently work in a flexible remote position. This will allow me time to spend outside of my home doing what I love, helping animals. I care for pets by providing all of their needs plus the extra love they all deserve. I care for all animals as if they are my own. Exercise and mental stimulation is extremely important for healthy, happy pets.
About: I’m Heather! I live in a gated community with my five year old chiweenie Roo. I’m in my mid thirties, working from home full time so I have flexibility to be with your pup all day if needed. I've had my own dogs for my entire life and watched animals and children for the last 20 years - I was even a nanny in college, so very familiar to care taking! I love all dogs and promise to treat your pup like it’s my own (snuggles on the couch, treats, walks and all). I work from home full time so having your pet with me makes no major impact on my routine! They will be a plus one to all the things I already do with my dog - three walks per day, hanging on the couch, watching me work in the office, etc. They won't ever be alone. I have a fenced yard, and I have my pup to keep them company. I have a crate they can use as well if needed.

About: My family has had a golden since I was born and I was always entrusted to take responsibility of my latest dog Punkin! Apart from that I have watched and walked neighbor and family friends' dogs! I have experience dealing with dogs on strict diets and certain walking schedules. I also have experience with taking care of senior dogs. All deserve the same love and respect no matter the type or breed. I have started college back up again YAY! my schedule allows a good amount of freedom after 12 pm but I also have a work study and will update this text when my daily work schedule comes out. At this moment I am free anytime after 11 or 12 pm on the weekdays and after 9am on the weekends until further notice!! I have experience regarding crating the dog. I have no dogs at the moment at my house and currently am not offering services at my house. I always provide a good amount of play time and long walks for each pet but make sure they are comfortable with my presence first.
“Jacob has been an excellent dog walker for Samuel. He is dependable, trustworthy, and always communicates well. I highly recommend Jacob to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog walker.”

About: I overcame an initial childhood fear of dogs by firstly rescuing a senior mutt as a family, aptly named Scruffy, before then adopting a Golden Retriever puppy, Angus, who I grew up with as a brother. This instilled the responsibility and love only an owner can truly understand that I have carried with me since. In addition to the dogs, my childhood was also filled with adopting and looking after pets of all shapes and sizes - with multiple cats co-existing in peace, rodents, reptiles, birds... So am no stranger to knowing how to juggle a zoo. After I lost my best friend Angus, my partner and I bought a Retriever puppy of our own, Roo, nearly 6 years ago, who is my entire world. I personally trained her from a baby velociraptor to the angel she is today and a registered service animal, with everyone who meets her praising how well behaved and perfect she is. Alongside raising her, I have also dog-sat, walked, and helped train numerous friends and neighbours dogs over the years - of varying ages, breeds and temperaments. This includes a senior, German Shepherd rescue who is unfortunately, aggressively reactive and therefore requires extra attention and care when in my responsibility. In addition to multiple puppies at various stages of development, introducing them to social situations for the first times and learning basic behavioural commands. I am also experienced and comfortable walking two strong dogs at a time, incase your household comes with double trouble. As a result, and as an owner myself, I understand and respect the individual requirements of each dog to ensure your loved ones are most comfortable when I am trusted to look after them. I am currently not working so am available 24/7. As a result, your pet will be my main and sole responsibility in my current situation. Again, as an owner myself, I know the trust and responsibility that comes with looking after our pets. I also know what we expect as owners so I can promise you will definitely receive too many photos and regular updates as a minimum to give you peace of mind at all times. I also am no stranger to fussy eaters or sensitive stomachs as I have navigated that with Roo all her life as well as knowing what constitutes a proper walk and ensuring our dogs are well exercised.
“Marvin is excellent. A good communicator with reasonable services. He’s great with Koda and I appreciate the updates from his rover card after the walk. Will be using him again.”

“Have just started booking Jaina to walk my 2 80lb Labs weekdays when I am at work. Both are excessively friendly, but will never be service dog trained quality. She has quickly learned to control the quirks of the very excitable 3 yr old chocolate and to then shift gears for laid back 4 yr old black lab. Communications have been excellent and she asks the right questions. Will highly recommend (except for around noon weekdays :) )”

About: Provide attentive, compassionate care for dogs and cats, including walks, feeding, playtime, companionship, and in-home visits. Focused on creating a safe, calm, and positive experience for both pets and owners through reliable communication and personalized care. As a pet owner myself to Piper the cat and Sawyer, my Golden Retriever, I understand how important trust, consistency, and genuine care are when choosing someone to look after your pets. I provide dependable, personalized care for dogs and cats through overnight stays, drop-in visits, and dog walks. Whether your pet needs a walk, a feeding visit, playtime, or overnight care, I strive to keep their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. For overnight stays, care includes evening and morning feeding and walks, and overnight supervision. Please note that overnight care does not include 24-hour constant presence, as I leave during the day for personal errands, appointments, or other scheduled pet care visits. Additional drop-in visits or midday walks can be arranged if your pet requires extra attention during the day. As a pet owner myself, I understand the importance of trust, communication, and reliable care. My goal is to make sure your pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away, and to provide you with peace of mind through regular updates and communication.
About: If I could adopt all dogs, of all sizes and ages, in need of a home, I would but instead I've taken care of countless dogs in my community for over a decade and also raised two adorable pomeranians who are my most treasured assets. I work remote in the technology sector with a very flexible schedule so I can provide more time and quality care for dogs I look after! I am responsible and respectful of my clients' home environment and preferences. I prioritize the needs, comfort, and wellbeing of all dogs I look after to ensure they are safe, healthy, and happy!
“Very reliable and easy to work with. She followed directions exactly as given and kept things simple and smooth for both my pets. I appreciated how professional and consistent she was.”

Joanna is the absolute best. I cannot speak highly enough of her. She has been walking my mother's dog twice a day, 7 days a week for about 6 months so far. She is 100% dependable and punctual, great with the dog and my mother, is gentle, kind, and wonderful to work with. We adore her!

We love having Evelyn walk our dog each week! She is reliable and so sweet with our border collie Rosie. During our meet and greet she took the time to learn all about her favorite activities, her quirks and more. They have a great time together! Thank you Evelyn!

⸻ Emily has been wonderful with our dog, Charlie. He can be a little anxious, and she is so patient and calm with him, which has made such a difference. We’re especially grateful for how responsive she is — even with last-minute requests. She communicates well, sends updates, and truly cares. Charlie gets excited when he sees her now! Highly recommend Emily to anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate walker. 🐾💛

Long review but I promise it’s worth the read. Iv had my dogs for over 15 years and I frequently drove 150 miles one way for boarding because once I find someone I trust with my dogs I don’t want to make changes. Unfortunately that dog sitter moved to South Carolina and I did drive there once for a longer stay but it just wasn’t feasible in the long run. So when I moved to Jupiter 18 months ago I found Bill and we aren’t letting go of him either. Bill is an exceptional dog walker who goes far beyond what anyone could reasonably expect. He truly sees each dog’s personality, reads them, and meets them exactly where they are. My Lily is notoriously human-selective, and Bill earned her trust with patience, intuition, and genuine respect for her boundaries. He is reliable, punctual, and deeply attentive to my dogs’ individual needs, and he even brings his own well-researched, healthy treats. When he noticed my gate needed fixing, he didn’t just point it out — he fixed it. When my dog Emma was battling cancer and struggling with the threshold, Bill helped me make my house more accessible so she could move comfortably. His care extends far beyond walks; he asked to be there when I had to put Emma to sleep so he could hold my second dog and allow me to focus fully on Emma. That level of compassion is rare and unforgettable. Bill also volunteers with dog rescues and has rescued several dogs himself, which shows in everything he does. He is available not just for regular scheduled walks, but in emergencies or when I manage to plan something joyful for myself, and I trust him completely

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
