Loving and Trusted Dog Care
I have cared for animals throughout my life, including dogs, cats, and horses, and understand every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs. I’m patient, attentive and take the time needed to let each animal get comfortable with me at their own pace. I have cared for dogs of many different breeds, sizes, and personalities from rescues to pedigrees, Lab/Pit mixes to Great Danes, as well as horses, beginning in my high school years and currently volunteer at a local horse rescue. What sets me apart is the interest I show in them. Recently, I was at the gym when a little dog came over and immediately sat down with his back to me and happily accepted some pets. When he looked up at me, he seemed to be saying, “Thank you for the pets! I have your back while you do this machine.” 😊Aww When I meet 2 dogs at the same household, one is usually more outgoing. I always make sure to pay equal attention to both, maybe the quieter one a little more. Animals can sense when someone genuinely enjoys being around them, even if some take a little longer than others.

Safety, trust & environment
The safety and comfort of your pet is always my first priority. I follow your instructions and your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, while paying attention to their behavior and surroundings. I make sure doors, gates, and other exits are secure, and I never assume a pet is comfortable with something simply because another pet is. When I’m in your home, I treat it with the same care and respect I would want someone to show my own home. I keep things clean and orderly, and I make sure your pet has a safe, comfortable environment while you are away. I also believe communication is important. I want you to feel connected to your pet while you are away, so I’m happy to send updates and photos and let you know how they are doing. If I notice anything unusual with your pet or in your home, I will let you know. I will be taking a Pet CPR & First Aid class in October in Boyton Beach. I'll learn the most up to date protocols in pet CPR, choking, rescue breathing, bleeding, snout to tail assessments, dental, pet care, first aid and more. I’m taking this class so I can be as prepared as possible to care for your pets and respond in an emergency.

My husband and I had to travel out of town to attend a family member's funeral and asked Kimberly to care for our 20-year-old indoor cat, Molly. Molly has always been quite shy around people she does not know; often hiding under furniture or behind the couch; but within the space of a weekend she and Kim became best friends. Kim was patient and kind and seemed to instinctively know how to reach out to Molly. I know I can rely on her to care for my most precious companion.
Kim is amazing! She is caring and thoughtful. My fur baby Jackson loves her! I trust her completely with the care of my little frenchie baby.

Schedule
My availability is flexible, semi-retired, working remotely part-time allowing me to be available. I’m happy to work with your schedule and, when I can accommodate it, I’m also available for last-minute requests. I enjoy being able to give pets the attention and care they need while their people are away. I also understand life happens and planning is sometimes last minute at best.
