Behavior Specialist/Lover of Dogs

Hi! I’m Julianna, and animals have always been my people- dogs especially. I’m college educated with a background in psychology, and my hands-on experience includes working as a veterinary assistant and training under the animal behaviorist at Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control, where I developed a real eye for canine body language and communication. I know what a relaxed dog looks like, what an anxious one needs, and how to read the subtle signals in between. I have a particular soft spot for senior dogs. I’ve loved and owned a few myself, navigating medications, mobility needs, and the extra patience and tenderness that comes with caring for an older animal. If your senior pup needs someone who genuinely gets it- I do! I believe every dog has its own personality and pace, and I’m never in a rush to push past what they’re comfortable with. Whether your pup is confident and social or a little shy and particular, I’ll meet them wherever they are. Outside of time with animals, I’m happiest outdoors- hiking, backpacking, and camping are my reset buttons, so a long walk or an adventure with your dog is genuinely my idea of a great day. When I’m not with dogs, I’m usually with my cat Harry, who has made it very clear that he runs the household. So yes, I’m also fully vetted by a feline. I originally joined Rover in 2018 and am just reactivating my account after an extended hiatus. While I’m rebuilding reviews here, my background speaks for itself- and I’m happy to do a complimentary meet and greet so you can see firsthand how I interact with your pet before committing to anything. I’d love to meet your dog and earn their trust — and yours 😊🐕🐾❤️

Julianna has always had a genuine love for animals. When time allows , she volunteers at her local SPCA and at Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League in West Palm Beach. Julianna is intelligent, trustworthy and responsible . When given a task or chore she always completes it thoroughly and takes pride in doing it as perfectly as she can. I highly recommend her as you will be getting the best.

Schedule

Pet care fits naturally into the rhythm of my day rather than feeling like an add-on. I keep a flexible schedule that allows me to be genuinely present and attentive- not rushed between commitments. Whether it’s a morning walk, midday check-in, or an extended stay, I prioritize showing up consistently and on time. Animals pick up on stress and distraction, so I make a point of bringing calm, focused energy to every visit.

Safety, trust & environment

Every pet and household is different, so I always start by learning the specific routines, preferences, and needs of each animal before anything else. I follow your pet’s established schedule as closely as possible- familiar routines reduce anxiety and help them feel secure in your absence. I’m comfortable administering medications, managing special dietary needs, and handling the extra care that senior or high-needs pets require. Your home and your pet’s comfort are always treated with the same respect I’d want for my own ❤️

A typical day

Honestly, a dog and a good trail is my idea of a perfect outing. I love taking dogs to wooded areas, nature trails, parks, and dog parks where they can actually use their nose and decompress properly. For more low-key days I’m also a fan of a slow, sniff-heavy neighborhood walk- which is scientifically a very enriching activity for dogs even if it looks lazy to humans. Fetch, enrichment games, and just genuine quality hang time are all on the table too. I take my cues from the dog.

Please don’t hesitate to share anything relevant about your pet before we meet- behavioral quirks, triggers, fears, leash reactivity, medical conditions, medications, dietary restrictions, or anything that helps me understand who your dog is and how to best support them. There’s no such thing as too much information here. The more I know going in, the better I can tailor my care to your individual animal. If your dog has specific needs, that’s not a dealbreaker- it’s just good to know so I can show up prepared! 🐶
