“We traveled from Maryland with our 10 week old puppy. Arriving in Florida my husband protectively said "If this place doesn't look good, I'm not leaving Seamus (the puppy)". We pulled up and it was perfect. We were greeted with a smile, and Seamus was greeted with dog friends. Keyla's home is perfectly set up dogs. From the tiled floor to the beautiful fenced in yard. Our puppy had as much fun on vacation as we did!”

“Chanelis was great!! Super attentive and always sending me photos. She made Drako feel right at home (exactly what I was looking for). I had a delayed flight and she was understanding when picking him up a bit later. Will definitely call her next time!”

“Donna, is a perfect sitter. She made sure to send photos and videos every day. Her dog Bodi played with my dog constantly and that helped to take her mind off missing me. She was given some medicine and she was very well cared for. I highly recommend her”

“Anna and her family are wonderful! They took the best care of Roscoe. He had so much fun he didn't want leave. It such a relief that I can leave our four legged family member knowing he's being cared for. Thank you Anna!”

“Super sweet! She was very accommodating to a last minute request. I dropped off my cat for the night and she provided her with a separate room since she has a dog. Overall great experience and would leave my fur baby with her again!”

“Daniel and Madison were awesome. Our dog came back to us super happy and tired! They communicated well and sent us plenty of photos/videos while we were away. Their dog is super friendly and she and Jack were two peas in a pod. Highly recommend and will definitely be repeat customers!!”

About: I love dogs! I will be happy to watch over your fur baby while you are away. I enjoy long walks and playing with them. I have had 4 dogs over the years small and large! It brings me joy to watch my dog get along with others! She shares her toys and bed! Lol I have a flexible job and my daughter is in school only half a day ( senior in high school) so she will be here also to play with them in the afternoon and give them water and treats. We both are available to make sure they are taken care of. My Bella makes friends easily she loves to play with other dogs. I allow them on furniture as long as they are not wet. We walk 3 times a day.
“Our dog had a great time, evident by the adorable pictures sent during his stay. He had a great time running in the fenced backyard and cuddled up to their sweet pup for a rest. They are super responsive and accommodating. Will definitely book again.”

“This was our second time booking with Elina and once again, she was amazing! She treated Cooper like family, sent tons of photos and videos, and even cleaned his ears everyday ! Cooper adores her ! Thank You Elina !”

“Gabriella was absolutely amazing with Satia! She was kind enough to do a meet and greet beforehand, which really helped me feel confident about the booking and made sure Satia was comfortable. Throughout the stay, Gabriella was super communicative—she sent lots of pictures and always checked in if she had any questions, which I really appreciated. Satia seemed so happy, loved, and completely spoiled. Gabriella even bundled her up and cuddled her like a baby when she was cold—it was the sweetest thing! I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. I’d recommend her to anyone without hesitation.”

About: I’ve been a dog owner and animal lover for many years and understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet. My property offers plenty of space for dogs to safely explore, exercise, and enjoy the outdoors while receiving constant supervision and attention. I am experienced with dogs of different breeds, sizes, and temperaments, and I work to maintain each dog’s normal routine to help them feel comfortable and stress-free. Whether your dog enjoys playtime, walks, or simply relaxing, they’ll receive personalized care, affection, and regular updates while you’re away. My goal is to provide a safe, fun, and comfortable home-away-from-home experience for every dog Why I love dog sitting: Dogs have always been a big part of my life. I enjoy spending time with them, getting to know their personalities, and providing a safe, caring environment where they can feel happy and secure. “Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine because I have hands-on experience caring for my own dogs and other pets. My day is structured around feeding, exercise, potty breaks, playtime, and making sure pets receive plenty of attention and supervision. I understand the importance of consistency, safety, and following each pet’s individual routine. Whether it’s a walk, drop-in visit, daycare, or overnight stay, I treat every pet like family and make sure they feel comfortable, happy, and well cared for.” “Providing a safe, trustworthy, and comfortable environment is my top priority. I have experience caring for dogs and treat every pet like family. My property features a secure fenced yard and acreage, giving dogs plenty of room to exercise, explore, and enjoy supervised outdoor time safely. Pets are never left unattended for long periods and receive lots of attention, playtime, and care throughout the day. I follow each pet’s routine as closely as possible and maintain open communication with owners through regular updates and photos, so they can feel confident their pets are in good hands.
“What a lovely and caring family! This was my first time using Elizabeth, but it will not be my last. They were so accommodating and welcoming to both me and my dog Cooper. I could leave town knowing Cooper was being loved and well cared for. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Elizabeth. Cooper was a happy boy when I picked him up. I will definitely use her again!”

“Awesome care and love for my Pauly. Received pictures everyday, Aida and Robert took Pauly out for his walk three times a day: Early in the morning, middle day and evening, and they sent me pictures of each one of his walks. They also played with Pauly and allowed him to take naps in their couch, just like he does here at home. Pauly was, literally, spending some time with his second family 🥰😍”

About: I’ve always had a deep love for animals and have cared for both cats and dogs over the years. I’m patient, reliable, and treat every pet like family. I am available after 5:00pm Monday through Friday and have open availability on the weekends. I work a regular 9am–5pm job during the week, so evenings and weekends work best for me. I am not available to bring animals into my home because I live in an apartment and would need to pay and get approval to have an animal in the unit. I’m happy to care for pets in their own familiar environment where they feel safe and comfortable.

About: I have taken care of dogs, as well as my own, since I was 10. This includes long amounts of time such as 3 weeks I stay at home, a majority of my time so I can offer excellent care as well as acquire to any special needs your pet may need! I have a fenced in yard with tons of space for your pet to run, and I have a beautiful street containing a sidewalk for regular walks for your dog. I have one cocker spaniel to offer some company for your pet, as she's very friendly and calm.

About: I bring genuine enthusiasm and reliability to every pet I care for. With my afternoons and evenings consistently available, I'm there when most pet owners need help- during the workday stretch when dogs need a break and that important evening routine when you're stuck at the office. What makes my approach different is that I truly pay attention to each pet's individual personality. Some dogs need a high-energy adventure walk, while others prefer a leisurely stroll with plenty of sniff breaks. I adapt to what makes your pet happiest and most comfortable, not what's easiest for me. I'm observant and communicative. If I notice anything unusual- a change in appetite, energy level, or behavior- I'll let you know right away. I understand that pets can't tell us when something's wrong, so I stay alert and keep you informed with regular photo updates. I also respect that inviting someone into your home requires trust. I'm punctual, follow instructions carefully, and treat your space with care. You'll never wonder if I showed up or how your pet is doing, I make sure you have that peace of mind. While I'm still growing my professional pet care experience, I approach every dog with patience, care, and a commitment to making sure they feel safe and happy while you're away. Your pet isn't just another appointment on my calendar- they get my full attention and care. Pet care is a natural fit for my schedule and lifestyle. With my part-time job ending in the early afternoon, I'm consistently available from afternoon through evening, which means I can offer flexible walking times, accommodate pets who need midday attention, and be there for evening routines when many pet parents are still at work. I build my week around the pets in my care. I keep my afternoons and evenings open specifically for walks, drop-in visits, and quality time with your furry family members. This isn't something I squeeze in between other commitments, it's a priority I plan for. My routine includes daily walks for my own household, so adding your pup to our route or stopping by for a visit fits seamlessly into what I'm already doing. I'm also home in the evenings, which means I can handle last-minute requests or provide updates with photos after our time together. Whether your dog needs a consistent daily walk at 3pm or you're looking for someone reliable for afternoon drop-ins, my schedule allows me to be dependable and present for your pet's needs. For dog walking, I tailor each walk to your dog's energy level and needs. I start by learning their temperament, any commands they know, and walking preferences. During walks, I keep them engaged and safe, monitoring their behavior, keeping a secure leash grip, and watching for any signs of discomfort or stress. I always bring water for longer walks, pick up after them, and take different routes to keep things interesting. Before heading out, I ensure doors and gates are properly secured, and when we return, I make sure your pup is settled with fresh water. For drop-in visits, I follow your routine as closely as possible to minimize disruption for your pet. I'll feed them according to your schedule and instructions, refresh water bowls, administer any medications if needed, and give them the attention and playtime they crave. I also do a quick home check, securing doors, bringing in mail or packages if requested, and making sure everything is as it should be. I always send photo updates so you can see your pet is happy and well-cared for while you're away. Safety is my top priority in both services. I'm attentive to your pet's body language, careful about potential hazards during walks (other dogs, traffic, weather), and respectful of your home and belongings during visits. I treat every pet like they're my own and every home like it's my responsibility to protect.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Tequesta
Irene was a terrific resource for us. From the outset she showed to be the caring”dog person” we hoped to find to care for our girl. Midway through our “away” Ijrene notified us that Rosie had thrown up… not panicked a text message and described what she was going to do… which was exactly what I would have done for her. Afterwards Rosie exhibited no other symptoms Irene had notified us next few days her condition and Rosie was bounding out the door when I came to pick up/in flight… so Irene thanks snd we’ll see you again.

We love our furry baby so much it is hard to go away but when we do she goes to summer camp at Barbara’s and we know she is very well taken care of. We get tons of pictures, it helps us a lot. Barbara is a great communicator and always let us know if Gucci gets picky with her food or anything she is worried about. Now that she had enough “summer camps” she felt comfortable taking her to the beach, they had a blast. We loved the pictures and seeing her in her favorite adventure. We are very fortunate to have found her.

Valerie took my dog at the very last minute for sitting when I realized the place I was going was not dog friendly. She sent photos and updates and was flexible with my pick-up time. It’s clear she loves pups and I would absolutely leave my guy with her again! Thanks so much, Valerie!!

Diane & Rob are absolutely fabulous! It was my first time leaving Gracie with someone new in a very long time. They met with me beforehand and sent pics and videos while I was away. They respond and communicate immediately. They both are caring, loving and kind with the dogs. They are “the real deal” when it comes to dog people. They love what they do. I am very grateful to have met them and will definitely use them again in the future. 😊

This was my first time using Rover. I am so happy to say how impressed I was with Jaclyn and Kenneth. Jaclyn offered to visit with me before leaving Dixie and Toby. It was a pleasure meeting with Jaclyn before leaving them. We got to know each other, and it was very comfortable speaking with her…. I would absolutely refer both Jacklyn and Kenneth as I will reach out to them again when needed. Thank you Jackie and Ken for the TLC for Dixie and Toby. Until the next time!

Donna was awesome! Our French bulldog Fergus felt right at home with Donna and her family. We left Fergus for 4 days and she provided plenty of updates and pictures. He was one happy pup at her home. I’d recommend Donna for sure and we will be using her services again!

Keyla was absolutely wonderful with my dog! From the moment we met her, I felt completely at ease. She was kind, reliable, and clearly loves animals. She kept me updated with messages and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind while my dog was there. My dog was happy, well cared for, and clearly comfortable with her (he slept with his head on het shoulder). I would highly recommend Keyla to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter!

Helen and Harvey were such great pet sitters for our golden retriever! Seriously went above and beyond taking care of treats and chewies for her when I neglected to bring them! Helen also gave me some really helpful training tips for our new pup. Could not recommend her and Harvey more!

Elina is wonderful ! Cooper loved staying with her and her dogs. She went above and beyond by feeding him with her own dog food when I forgot his and taking him on daily walks ! Elina is truly a caring, responsible and thoughtful sitter ! Once again 5 stars all the way !

Hi. I left my dog Benji with Viera for two days, one night. She and her two dogs are very lovely. She was very communicative prior to and during his stay at her home. She sent lots of pictures and addressed all of my concerns and questions prior to and during his stay with patience and respect. I found her to be very caring and Benji returned to me happy and healthy. I highly recommend her services. Thank you Viera!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
