“Kate was great and was so flexible with our crazy holiday travel plans. She sent frequent photos and assured me my dog was doing just fine. She was communicative, prompt and was a total life saver for us! Would absolutely book with Kate and her sweet family again.”

“Dawn was amazing. Our dog is a puppy and she treated him as if he was her own. She sent a ton of updates and kept us in the loop at all times. We would definitely use her services again!”

“Krystal was a wonderful caregiver to my 12.5yr old frenchie, Honey, who requires oral medication as well as eye drops. Krystal was very responsive during booking and during Honeys stay. Her dog Kilo is chill and he welcomed Honey to his pack for 5 days. I will certainly check with Krystal when Hobsy needs a place to stay.”

“Alyssa was amazing with my two kitties! I was so worried about leaving them with someone I didn’t know, but she was easy to communicate with and sent updates/pictures throughout their stay. Would highly recommend and will hopefully use her in the future when I leave town.”

About: My wife and I share a love of dogs and have raised many throughout our lives. We will provide a safe and loving environment for your pet. We offer personalized care that meets the needs of your dog, making our home, their home, away from home. We have experience administering medications, caring for senior dogs, taking dogs for walks and have a fenced in yard for active pups. We are recently retired and currently do not have a dog. We have no children living at home, although we have an active home with many dog loving grandchildren that visit and since they all have their own dogs, will love playing with yours. We are currently retired and have time to dedicate to your pet. We enjoy being outside and would love to spend time with your dog by either walks, playing in the yard or visiting the park. Our home is pet friendly, allowing your dog to roam freely. We have a fenced in yard for play and a deck that dogs enjoy sunning themselves on. Going for a walk, taking time to understand your dogs needs and just spending time with your dog is our priority.
“We wanted to find a sitter in our neighborhood for when we are away. Jane was amazing and took in Siuy as though she was hers. I received constant communications and photos and loved how Siuy and Fancy zoomied with each other. My hope is that Jane would be willing to look after Siuy the next time we are away. I don’t think I can trust another sitter!”

“It was so nice leaving my dogs in William's care as he clearly loves dogs and enjoys taking care of them. They were well-cared for and William communicated well as to any questions or concerns and clarified any points about how I would like for them to be cared for. I will definitely be hiring William again in the future.”

“They were great and understanding and patient They have become Chanel trusted baby sitter They made me feel so comfortable with taking care of her They are the best”

“Kevin is great with my dog Mocha. I feel at ease knowing she is in his care. Mocha always comes back as a happy pup, having been able to sniff around the yard and getting plenty of playtime and cuddles”

“Christi and Pete helped us out last minute with a week long stay of our three month old puppy. I can’t recommend them enough! They were flexible and willing to work with puppy shenanigans. They sent pictures and texts throughout the week. They’ll be out first choice if we need a pet sitter soon!”

“Sebastian is truly a dog whisperer. She took amazing care of my very skittish anxious dog. She is very loving and patient and gives each dog exactly what they need. She sent updates and pictures each day. I highly recommend her to take care of any dog. She has a deep understanding of dogs and how to care for them”

“Erica is truly amazing. This is the second time she has cared for our fur baby, and each time, she goes above and beyond. With her thoughtful updates, videos, and pictures, she treats him like her own. Paxton thrives in her care, joyfully playing with all the other dogs. Knowing he’s with Erica allows me to take a vacation with peace of mind.”

“Labor Day weekend was the first time using a doggy sitter for my lovely cavapoo, Brooklyn. I was very nervous at first. I didn't know how my dog would react when I was away being that she suffers from anxiety separation. Ziwei made me feel comfortable and my dog too. She kept me informed from day one. I also received pictures and videos. When I picked up Brooklyn she was very happy and she looked well taken care of. I'm so very glad to find a loving, caring and skilled doggy sitter being that my husband and I travel often. I give her a 5 star rating and I highly recommend her especially if you are a nervous fur mommy as I was. I know next time I use her service I will no longer be nervous because I know my dog will be in good hands. 🐶”

“Yiqi was great. Sent plenty of pics and I saw Eli was very happy in his surroundings. She also took him for daily park walks where she played fetch with him and allowed him to run and work off energy. Eli was allowed on the bed and the furniture which he loves. I will use Yiqi and again and highly recommend her!!!”

About: Hi, my name is Christina! I’m 33 years old and a proud single mom of two wonderful kids. We’re a loving, active household that adores animals, and caring for dogs has always been a natural part of my life. I know how important it is to have peace of mind when you leave your furry family member in someone else’s care. That’s why I treat every dog like they’re my own—with patience, love, and plenty of playtime. Whether it’s long walks, cuddles on the couch, or keeping up with their routines, I make sure each pup feels safe, happy, and right at home. If you’re looking for someone reliable, caring, and attentive, I’d love to help care for your dog while you’re away! Pet care fits easily into my daily routine. As a mom, I’m already used to keeping a structured schedule, and I enjoy starting and ending my days with walks, feedings, and plenty of playtime. My kids and I love spending time outdoors, so including dogs in our activities—like walks around the neighborhood or playtime in the yard—comes naturally. Since I’m home most of the day, I’m able to give pets consistent attention, bathroom breaks, and lots of love. Caring for animals is something I look forward to, not something I squeeze in—it’s a natural part of how I spend my days. When caring for pets in my home, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and part of the family. I follow their regular routines as closely as possible—feeding, walking, playtime, and cuddle time—so they feel at ease. My home is pet-friendly with plenty of space for play and relaxation, and I give each pet lots of love and attention. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and routines while making sure their pet feels cared for and secure. I stick to the owner’s instructions, keep everything clean, and send regular updates with photos so you have peace of mind. Whether it’s daily walks, fresh food and water, administering medications, or just giving extra snuggles, I make sure every pet feels happy and loved while you’re away.
“Jennifer (and her family) did an amazing job taking care of our dachshund Blue for the weekend while we were away. She sent plenty of pictures of blue having fun throughout our trip and was communicative throughout the stay. We would definitely use her again!”

“Nancy was fantastic! Super communicative, flexible, and understanding. Sent updates and pictures. Nancy is warm, and Alvy was well cared for, and returned happy as a clam. Will definitely return to Nancy and recommend to others!”

Port Monmouth pet parents share their Rover experiences
My dogs and I are so grateful to have found Shelleen on Rover. Gorgeous yard, gorgeous home, but most importantly, an incredible family who welcomed my pups and took amazing care of them. As an added bonus, Shelleen is also an experienced canine trainer who taught my dogs how to stop pulling on their leads - something I have been trying (and failing)! to do for years. A 10/10 experience; we will 100% be back; what a relief to find reliable and loving dog care!

Steven is the best. He and his family are super nice and they were very easy to work with. We ended up having to drop our cat off a day earlier and they made the whole process super easy. They send pictures of Cheese and are just all around nice people. This is our second time leaving Cheese with them and we will definitely rebook with them again.

We had a wonderful experience with our dog sitter. She was reliable, caring, and clearly loves animals. Our dog was happy, relaxed, and well cared for when we returned, which gave us real peace of mind while we were away. Communication was excellent, with regular updates and photos, and it was obvious our dog was getting lots of attention and affection. We would absolutely use her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for trustworthy, compassionate pet care.

Let me start by saying that my dogs have never been away from home, so I left two of them with Michael as a short-term test. (2 nights) Lucy, who weighs about 5 lbs, was just fine—she rolls with the punches. Mac, who weighs about 20 lbs, on the other hand, was more of a challenge. Michael took wonderful care of both, giving Mac the extra attention he needed. Michael handled him with patience and care. I’d trust him with them anytime! I would gladly trust them with Michael again—if he’ll have them!

Tabitha and Christopher were so wonderful! We had a great meet and greet before the stay, and then when our plans changed during River’s stay in their home, they were so adaptable and accommodating. Really kind people and clearly love their dogs and all of their furry visitors! We will definitely book with them again!

We were so fortunate to have Cathy take care of our elderly dog while we were away. She was absolutely fantastic—patient, attentive, and so gentle with him. She kept us updated with daily messages and photos, which gave us such peace of mind. It was clear our dog was comfortable and well cared for, and that means everything to us. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter. Thank you for treating our pup like your own!
