“Jonathan and Rebecca did an amazing job watching our two senior Malteses while we went to Barbados for our honeymoon! Would absolutely recommend them to anyone. They kept us updated and the boys super happy. Fantastic experience thank you guys so much!!!”

“Sean and Dakota were amazing! They took amazing care of our boy, Otis. We got regular updates, pictures and videos. We couldn’t be happier and knowing Otis was so well taken care of and having an absolute blast gave us peace of mind.”

“Lexi and Prashanth were phenomenal sitters. They treated my dog Luka with incredible care, attention, and treats. I also appreciated their flexibility with my schedule during my work trip. Luka and I will certainly use them again in the future. Thanks again, y’all!”

“Thank you and your entire family once again for taking such great care of my gangsters; all the love, walks and attention they are getting while staying with you is absolutely impressive. A separate thank you for the regular updates and the peace of mind thay bring.”

“Leaving our beagle Maxine with Stephanie was a great decision for us.. We picked her up a little later than end of day, and Stephanie was flexible enough to accommodate us . Will definitely keep using Stephanie for future dog sitting needs”

About: In 2025 I decided to go full time and start my own pet care business. I am fully bonded & insured! The greatest compliment I have received is that it's obvious how much I love the animals I work with. I have quite literally never enjoyed showing up to work as much as I do now. Thank you all for trusting me with your babies and your homes-- I do not take that responsibility lightly. Since making the full-time pivot to pet care, my schedule now has the flexibility fit around the needs of your pets. For walks, our walk doesn't officially "START" until your dogs paws hit the pavement! Your dog gets the full 30 minutes with no corners cut. This is true for all of my services. I will care for them like they are my own dogs— their safety is my top priority, and I know how difficult the transition can be for pups when their parents are gone and will do everything in my power to make that easier for them.
“Ekaterina and family did a lovely job hosting our senior dog Gil! He returned home happy and relaxed. She sent lots of photos and updates. Thank you so much.”

“Christina was amazing with my Bodhi! He can be extremely difficult and she knew exactly how to handle him, keep him busy, entertained, and tired! (Not many can, lol) Christina was also extremely kind, generous, and accommodating to me & my schedule. I will definitely be using her in the future. Thank you so much again Christina! XO”
“We had a wonderful experience! Thank you so much for taking such great care of Simba. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was happy, well looked after, and even made a new friend 😊 We really appreciated the regular updates and photos, it meant a lot to us. It’s clear how much care and attention you give to the dogs you look after. We would absolutely love for Simba to stay with you again in the future. Highly recommend!”

“Stephanie and her family did an incredible job taking care of my dog. I highly recommend leaving your dog with them - you can rest assured your pet is in good hands. I received a lot of picture updates as well!”

“Christi and Peter were fantastic from beginning to end! Professional and very accommodating. You can tell they both truly enjoy being your pets. Highly recommend!”

“Jamie creates a very calm and comfortable space for our shy and sometimes timid small dog (who gets excellent care, naps, walks, and attention). We're really happy we found her and even more pleased that our dog loves her time with her.”

“Chloe is amazing. She took Nox on long walks and gave him tons of adventures on his short stay. Its one thing to look after someone’s dog, its another entirely different thing to give them a 5-star spa experience. They visited the koi pond & spent a lot of time outside, which is Nox’s favorite place to be. Thank you so much! We will be back 💕”

“Jacqueline is by far the BEST doggie sitter I have ever been to. She not only cares for your dog or dogs as her own that she truly goes above and beyond for them. I dropped him off the other day and told her he was tired so she put him down for a nap. I don’t think there’s anyone in the world I would trust other than my family with my dog except Jacquline and her family. They are also kind and compassionate and I highly highly recommend them.”

“Yiqi took amazing care of my dog during a holiday, making sure he got plenty of playtime and attention in addition to his more basic needs like regular eating and potty breaks. Absolutely recommend!”

Rachel is amazing. She is very accommodating and she really took great care of Chloe for 2 weeks. She's a lifesaver. She got along great with George and Chloe fit right in with them. It gave me a huge piece of mind knowing how well she was cared for. I highly recommend Rachel to watch your loved one. She's great

We were referred to Lorrie through a friend and worked with her for a test run for our 8 month golden puppy. Recently, we’ve been dealing with a bit of separation anxiety with our Frankie but Lorrie made him feel right at home and he settled in nicely. This was such a relief for my wife and I as we have some trips planned soon. It’s so comforting knowing Frankie has a place to go that will treat him like family! Couldn’t recommend Lorrie enough!

My dogs and I are so grateful to have found Shelleen on Rover. Gorgeous yard, gorgeous home, but most importantly, an incredible family who welcomed my pups and took amazing care of them. As an added bonus, Shelleen is also an experienced canine trainer who taught my dogs how to stop pulling on their leads - something I have been trying (and failing)! to do for years. A 10/10 experience; we will 100% be back; what a relief to find reliable and loving dog care!

Let me start by saying that my dogs have never been away from home, so I left two of them with Michael as a short-term test. (2 nights) Lucy, who weighs about 5 lbs, was just fine—she rolls with the punches. Mac, who weighs about 20 lbs, on the other hand, was more of a challenge. Michael took wonderful care of both, giving Mac the extra attention he needed. Michael handled him with patience and care. I’d trust him with them anytime! I would gladly trust them with Michael again—if he’ll have them!

Tabitha and Christopher were so wonderful! We had a great meet and greet before the stay, and then when our plans changed during River’s stay in their home, they were so adaptable and accommodating. Really kind people and clearly love their dogs and all of their furry visitors! We will definitely book with them again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
