“Megan and her husband Bryan were absolutely great with our two boys Louie and Brady. They provided us with adorable pictures, including a little backyard pool on a hot day and belly rubs! They kept in contact throughout the time we were away and we felt confident that our pups were being loved and looked after just as we would have! Thank you both :)”

“Erica showed a lot of care about my dog. She sent several pictures and a video throughout the day that made me feel more confident about Lolli having a good time there. About: I’ve had a dogs my entire life. I love them all big and small. I’ve also fostered for the last 20 years. I love all dogs and have 4 of my own. I’d love to pamper your pup too! I am currently a stay at home mother and have plenty of free time to walk or help care for pets. I have mornings and afternoons free. I have 4 very spoiled rescues. We have a fenced in yard but I never leave my dogs outside alone. My dogs are not crated but I would crate a visiting pet for safety if I was not home.
“Carrie was great. She was patient with my dog who can be a bit nervous at times. Sometimes my dog will not eat while I am gone, but she will eat cooked eggs. Carrie was kind enough to cook for my dog so that she wouldn't starve herself. I've given Carrie 5 stars, but for some reason it won't register it. I highly recommend Carrie for your pet.”
“Carol was the best sitter I could ask for! She is so kind and took care of my puppy so well! This was my first time leaving my puppy with a sitter and she gave me peace of mind with check ins. I knew she was in good hands. I would definitely book with Carol again.”

About: I have taken care of dogs for most of my adult life. My wife and I have made a point to adopt large older dogs that tend to be stuck in the shelter system. All dogs are good and deserve to live a fun filled, happy, and loved life. I am also recently pet CPR and first aid certified by The American Red Cross. Im currently working part time three nights during the week so I have plenty of free time to take care of your pups. Having recently lost our beloved Mastiff, I've been craving some pup time. I have a fully fenced in yard and have plenty of room to crate your pups. We recently lost our dog so we are pet free. Being dog people, we welcome your dogs like they were our family.
About: I recently moved to Kennsington / Windsor Terrace and am looking for a dog to walk in the area to familiarize myself with the neighborhood, get exercise, and extra cash. I also do cat care and check-ins for travelers. I could potentially host the right animal in my apartment. More specifically, I am seeking short-term in-house pet care for October 22 - November 4th when my mother visits town. If this fits your description, please reach out! With my schedule I am available for mid day walks between noon and 4pm, perfect for when you’re in the office worried sick about your pets at home. I use my best judgment and respect the privacy of your personal information and honor your pets, belongings and space. I am always a phone call and a text away to address concerns or changes.
“My dog is always stoked after hanging at Yiqi's. I'm so grateful we are able to book with her and be confident that he's getting the exercise and socializing a large dog needs. He always comes home with great energy which is super encouraging for me! Thanks always Yiqi!”

“Doris is a soft-spoken, sweet and genuine person who relates very well to dogs. My dog, who has a lot of anxiety, went and leaned against Doris' legs almost immediately at our meet-and-greet, and was put at ease by her calmness and gentle manner. She's a natural!”

“We had a wonderful experience! Thank you so much for taking such great care of Simba. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was happy, well looked after, and even made a new friend 😊 We really appreciated the regular updates and photos, it meant a lot to us. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
