“We are repeat customers, and my cat loves staying with Lina! I would definitely recommend her services. She always goes above and beyond in her care, and I can feel comfortable and at peace leaving my cat with her, knowing that he will be well. I always know he will be in great hands with her. She is easy to work with, incredibly attentive, very communicative, responsible, and flexible (which relieves a lot of the stress of traveling, making plans, and having to leave a pet). Lina is a fantastic caregiver!”

“My dog is always stoked after hanging at Yiqi's. I'm so grateful we are able to book with her and be confident that he's getting the exercise and socializing a large dog needs. He always comes home with great energy which is super encouraging for me! Thanks always Yiqi!”

About: I recently moved to Kennsington / Windsor Terrace and am looking for a dog to walk in the area to familiarize myself with the neighborhood, get exercise, and extra cash. I also do cat care and check-ins for travelers. I could potentially host the right animal in my apartment. More specifically, I am seeking short-term in-house pet care for October 22 - November 4th when my mother visits town. If this fits your description, please reach out! With my schedule I am available for mid day walks between noon and 4pm, perfect for when you’re in the office worried sick about your pets at home. I use my best judgment and respect the privacy of your personal information and honor your pets, belongings and space. I am always a phone call and a text away to address concerns or changes.

“I’ve always been satisfied with the ‘sitters’ I have used through Rover but I have to say Julie is above and beyond. We had a nice meet and greet before I made the booking. I knew right away that she was genuine and really enjoyed taking care of dogs. She sent me updates and always a pic or 2. She was flexible with my schedule and so reassuring about taking good care of Jimmy. I will definitely be using Julie again!!! And again thx Julie!”

“Stephanie was great! I had issue with my flight because of the snowstorm and we were able to work around that. Duckie was very well cared for and had a great time. I will definitely recommend her and use her again.”

“Mary and Aaron are genuinely good people, they took wonderful care of our labradoodle Stella for a week. Mary sent me photos which made my day and just reinforced my comfort level of leaving her with someone for week. They have a wonderful, shaded big backyard that is an oasis for dogs. I highly Recommend Mary and Aaron???”
“Doris is a soft-spoken, sweet and genuine person who relates very well to dogs. My dog, who has a lot of anxiety, went and leaned against Doris' legs almost immediately at our meet-and-greet, and was put at ease by her calmness and gentle manner. She's a natural!”

“This is the first time we left Ralph for a weekend and we couldn’t have been happier that it was with Samantha. The only bad part was that Ralph is sad he had to leave his playmate Jada!”

“Thank you Ziwei. My dog is alive and well. I saw longing and resentment towards me in his eyes. Apparently he really enjoyed visiting:)) Photos were sent to me every day.”

“Megan and her husband Bryan were absolutely great with our two boys Louie and Brady. They provided us with adorable pictures, including a little backyard pool on a hot day and belly rubs! They kept in contact throughout the time we were away and we felt confident that our pups were being loved and looked after just as we would have! Thank you both :)”

“Danielle did a remarkable job sitting Basil over the holiday weekend. Basil was very well taken care of and was sad to leave when I came to pick him up. Danielle was also incredibly flexible; she allowed us to pick up Basil at a different date / time than we previously agreed upon. I couldn’t recommend Danielle enough :)!!”

“My husband and I have been using Will as our personal Rocco sitter. My dog Rocco loves going to Wills, spending time with him when we have to travel for work, or back home to Boston. Will always sends me updates, and pictures of Rocco through out his stay. If you are looking for a reliable sitter. Will is your guy!”

“Lucky and I couldn’t have been happier with the loving care he received! The daily updates and pictures were so reassuring! Samantha was good having a Bichon shadow and bedmate! Her family welcomed him with open arms!”

“Emerald was sooo great with Autumn. She sent so many pictures and updates without me even having to ask. I knew Autumn was in good hands with her and Minty. 10/10 reccomend!”

“Kate was an absolutely wonderful host to my 2.5 year old golden retriever. Throughout the weekend I received many written and picture updates, which were so very appreciated. I returned to pick my dog up and found her very happy, very well taken care of, and very tired from a weekend playing at the beach! I highly recommend Kate!”

“We are so grateful for Ekaterina and family's loving care of our senior dog Gil this summer! I didn't know how he was going to manage so many weeks away from home, but Ekaterina is exceptionally reassuring and capable. She handled his medications and temperament with true care and skill. We feel very lucky to have found her. Thank you again!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
