Krystal was a wonderful caregiver to my 12.5yr old frenchie, Honey, who requires oral medication as well as eye drops. Krystal was very responsive during booking and during Honeys stay. Her dog Kilo is chill and he welcomed Honey to his pack for 5 days. I will certainly check with Krystal when Hobsy needs a place to stay.

Lorrie did a great job. I was a little nervous because my dogs have never been away from home. I have 3 dogs and Lorrie took on the challenge. From the first time she saw them she was able to read them, who was the most active , the shy one and the feisty one. She picked them up and dropped them off which was a huge help they did great. I would use Lorrie again if needed.

Deena and her family are the best! When I dropped George off, he remembered them from the meet & greet and raced up the stairs! I knew then, he would have a great stay. Deena was very organized and attended to all of George's needs. She took him for walks and sent a lot of pictures which was so reassuring to me that he was having a great time! I will definitely use Deena again the next time I need to go out of town. A++

About: Hi there! Although I only recently reactivated this app, caring for dogs is nothing new to me. I’ve been around dogs my entire life and grew up with herding breeds. I raised my beloved Border Collie, Zoey (see Gallery), from puppyhood through adulthood. She has since crossed the 🌈 bridge, but during her life I taught her fun commands like “take a bow” and “play dead.” My goal is to provide dogs of all ages with a fun, safe, clean, and secure environment that is free from hazards—while giving their owners complete peace of mind. ⸻ Today, I own a 5-month-old longhaired male Dachshund named Moose. He loves other dogs, is up to date on his core vaccines, and is currently unneutered. Because of him, I have firsthand experience with the unique care that long-bodied breeds require, including proper handling techniques and back protection; I’ve also cared for dogs of all sizes and temperaments . I’m also American Red Cross Certified in Dog First Aid 🐾 and have experience caring for medical dogs who require a little extra attention. My prior Border Collie, Zoey, was dog-reactive and medically disabled (she was completely blind in one eye), so I understand the importance of patience, consistency, and adapting care to a dog’s individual needs. ⸻ I am home throughout the day and will provide plenty of supervision, attention, potty breaks, playtime, and companionship for your pup. The house is in close proximity to the Belford Ferry, making it especially convenient for NYC commuters. *********** For clients interested in doggy daycare or boarding, dogs will enjoy a securely fenced backyard for supervised potty breaks and outdoor play, as well as an indoor gated playpen located on the main living level of the home (see Gallery). The playpen is stocked with plenty of toys and enrichment activities, and dogs also have access to the adjacent hardwood-floor living area. *********** To help keep all of our furry friends healthy and safe, proof of core vaccinations is required (except for young puppies), and all dogs must be on a flea and tick preventative. Clients are welcome to bring a crate, favorite bed, blanket, or other comfort items from home. Baby gates are installed on the stairs for added safety, and walks may be added to daycare or boarding services. *********** At this time, I intentionally accept only one client (which can include multiple dogs) at a time. This allows me to provide individualized attention, maintain a calm, low-stress environment, and tailor my care to each dog’s unique needs. I closely supervise all interactions and can easily keep dogs separated if needed. At night, your pup will have the playpen all to themselves for a peaceful night’s sleep (or a crate if you prefer). The playpen is also monitored with a baby monitor for an extra layer of safety. ⸻ My goal is to make drop-off as simple and stress-free as possible. If you’d prefer to simply drop off your pup, I’ve got the essentials covered! Of course, you’re always welcome to bring your dog’s own food, crate, favorite blanket, toys, or any comfort items if you’d like. *********** What’s Included with Daycare & Boarding: • Premium name-brand kibble, served with fresh water and dog-friendly bone broth • Quality treats and chews, including turkey tendons, fish skins, bully sticks, and more • Supervised outdoor potty breaks and playtime in a securely fenced yard • Indoor enrichment activities, including frozen lick mats and puzzle toys • Access to a variety of toys and comfortable beds within the secure indoor playpen • Daily photo updates for peace of mind 😊 ⸻ Before every booking, we’ll discuss your dog’s routine, personality, exercise needs, feeding schedule, medications, and any special instructions so I can provide personalized, attentive care. My goal is to make your furry family member feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. *********** I have a flexible schedule and will work with you to coordinate pickup/drop-off times that work. We will discuss scheduling at the initial consult. We can go over any quirks /routines that you do to make your pup feel comfy, favorite toys, etc., to ensure your fur baby feels safe and loved while in my care🐾

I have review Rachel a few times now and every time, she is amazing. She watched our almost 1 year old golden doodle for 6 days and nights. Babka is so happy when she is there. And so happy when she comes home. No issues whatsoever and Rachel sent pictures and videos too. Also her dog loves Babka and that makes us so happy for them both to have a friend to play with for the week. We will continue to use Rachel whenever we can.

This was the first time I was apart from my dog for more than two days and the first day that I left the dog with a non relative. It was great to have someone as responsive and responsible as Vincent taking care of my dog. It is clear that Vincent loves dogs and does a great job taking care of them. When I picked my dog up it was clear he had a good week, was healthy, well fed and very happy.

We were so happy that Shelleen and Bill took such good care of our 2 senior labs Bono and Jeter. They made them feel right at home and could tell they bonded with our boys. It’s such a relief knowing that it was a stress free environment for them and they seemed calm and happy when we picked them up to come back home. We would not hesitate to recommend or use their services again . Thank you!

Billy is hands down the Dog Whisperer — and that headline is no exaggeration! He’s the best of the best. My 5-month-old Maltipoo puppy, Einstein, was treated like royalty while my family and I were away on holiday. Billy kept us smiling the whole trip with constant pictures and videos of Einstein — whether it was him strutting around the park, enjoying his meals, or just being his playful self. It honestly felt like Einstein was on his own little vacation! Billy even went the extra mile by gently removing some knots from his fur and washing his things before giving him back to us. He was super polite with my whole family, always cheerful, and gave us updates whenever we asked (sometimes a couple of times a day). Einstein got plenty of walks, playtime, and cuddles — it was obvious he was being cared for as if he were Billy’s own pup. On top of all that, Billy’s rates are very competitive, which makes the level of care he provides feel like an incredible find. We’ll 100% be booking him again as repeat clients. If you want someone who will love your pup like family, look no further — Billy really is the Dog Whisperer! 🐾✨

Our dog Mazie loves going to Ricks! She is an Aussiedoodle that needs a lot of exercise so it was important for us to find someone who would make sure she got her steps in. At Rick’s, she’s able to run the property to get out all of her energy. Rick sends us videos every day to share how Mazie is doing. We feel confident knowing mazie is in good hands when we are away.

Let me start by saying that my dogs have never been away from home, so I left two of them with Michael as a short-term test. (2 nights) Lucy, who weighs about 5 lbs, was just fine—she rolls with the punches. Mac, who weighs about 20 lbs, on the other hand, was more of a challenge. Michael took wonderful care of both, giving Mac the extra attention he needed. Michael handled him with patience and care. I’d trust him with them anytime! I would gladly trust them with Michael again—if he’ll have them!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
