About: I'm a lifelong dog lover with plenty of experience caring for family pets and neighbors' dogs, often stepping in as a trusted pet sitter when they’re away. Over the years, I’ve learned how to handle different breeds and temperaments with patience and care, always making sure each dog feels comfortable and safe in my home. I also have a well-trained dog of my own, who’s friendly and well-behaved, however, when I watch other dogs, they’ll have the house to themselves on occasion, (as he frequently spends time visiting his grandma!), giving them space to relax without the stress of interacting with a new animal. My goal is always to provide a calm, loving environment where your dog feels right at home. I’m currently working freelance and have the flexibility to watch your pet as needed during the week and weekend. With advanced notice, I am able to provide boarding/overnight services. My home offers a clean, open floor plan with plenty of space for your dog to relax and explore comfortably. There’s an enclosed outdoor patio for fresh air and sun, along with two large dog beds topped with clean sheets to help your pup feel right at home. I also provide natural treats as a little extra touch to keep them happy and satisfied. When your pet is staying with me, they’ll be my top priority. I’m committed to giving them my full attention, care, and affection during their visit.
“We are so grateful to Alison for taking such wonderful care of our cats, Wrigley and Shea, while my husband and I were away on vacation. Leaving our pets is never easy, but Alison made it so much easier for us to relax and truly enjoy our time away. From the start, Alison was thoughtful, attentive, and incredibly caring. She paid close attention to all the little details of their routines and made sure they received plenty of love, attention, and playtime. It was clear that she genuinely enjoyed spending time with them, and they were clearly very happy in her care. The daily pictures and updates meant so much to us. Seeing Wrigley and Shea each day, looking happy and comfortable, gave us tremendous peace of mind and made us feel connected to them even while we were away. We couldn’t have asked for a better person to care for our two fur babies. Alison went above and beyond, and we are so thankful for the care and love she gave them. We will absolutely be asking Alison to watch Wrigley and Shea the next time we’re out of town. We highly recommend her! ❤️🐾”

“We are so happy to have found Stephanie to help look after our lil guy. She was very communicative, caring and patient. I feel we can truly rely on her for future pet care and definitely plan to book again.”

I was able to relax and be present in each moment because I knew Sadie was home living her best life. I received updates and photos of Sadie from Amy confirming that hiring Amy was the perfect solution. I highly recommend Amy to anyone needing care for their pet.”

“I highly recommend Angelica. She has been a life saver for me and my pets for several months. Reliable and trustworthy Angelica is a wonderful caretaker for your furry friends.”

About: Happy to help you care for your dog or dogs. I’m comfortable with all breeds up to 80 pounds, and all ages. Happy to take care of any dog from puppies to geriatric dogs. I work remotely with flexibility in my schedule to provide walks or work from your home. I can come in for scheduled visits or work from your home for the visit if necessary. I can offer care in your home. I am happy to walk and clean up after your dog. Happy to provide food, water, affection and playtime.
About: I am a fellow pet owner looking to start a side business! My dog Lucy is now 11, she is a large mixed breed, however I am comfortable with all dog sizes. I also have two 3 year old kitties, rescued locally. I grew up with multiple dogs and cats my entire life, so animals are in my nature. I will care for your pet as if they were my own! I am taking some time off working from my corporate finance job, so I am available majority of the time! My calendar is updated to my availability. I will follow any instructions provided. Any dietary needs or restrictions, medications, etc. I can play with your pets inside, outside, or both. I can walk or jog with your pet as well.
About: I have experience training and caring for dogs and cats. I Specialize in dogs with hearing issues/ deafness. Both of my dogs are graduates of multiple behavioral and obedience classes resulting in our therapy certifications. We visit a multitude of schools, hospitals and other wellness centers. All volunteer work done by my companions and myself is strictly a passion and non profit. I was inspired by a visitation to my grandfather by a golden retriever, when my grandfather was in the hospital for open heart surgery. Seeing my grandfathers reaction to a dog visitation while he was in the hospital was a monumental moment for me that further inspired my passion and drive to work with dogs. I currently work early mornings for a government agency as an officer which gives me a lot of available free time at off times of the day and week. Making me readily available to care for your pets . A fenced yard is a must. My dogs are trained and raised to be curious and outgoing, thus a fence is needed. Although my dogs don’t need a leash, I find it’s necessary to generally have a leash attached. I allow my dogs to be curious, and put there noses where many wouldn’t generally allow. It’s important to always cover your stove switches/ burners with dog safety devices!. But ultimately I strongly believe in allowing your dogs and pets to be curious and open to learning. Dogs and cats alike are much smarter then most realize, and I believe this is there first time living as well.. and deserve the best experiences life has to offer!

About: Welcome to a cozy “home away from home” for your pup. I host 1-2 dogs at a time (along with my own friendly dog) for overnights so that I can best provide a calm environment and give individualized attention. Your dog will enjoy plenty of play time in the large yard, cuddles, treats, and daily walks. Dogs that are 45 pounds or under and those that appreciate a less chaotic setting will do best at my house. I currently work from home full time as a book editor and have a large fenced yard. I have a great deal of flexibility when it comes to providing care and attention. If your dog enjoys walks, we typically take a walk around the neighborhood in the morning and evening. Unless your dog enjoys or does best crated, your dog will be trusted to be free in the house. I can administer medication as needed and can guarantee your dog will receive exercise and plenty of attention. For everyone’s safety, I only take non-aggressive dogs who are up to date on vaccinations and are on some form of flea/tick/heartworm preventatives.

“I felt very secure for my cats being with them. They were very flexible to our cat's needs. They were a pleasure to work with from the very beginning. Lots of wonderful pictures. Our cats enjoyed their time with them and bonded very early, which was quite surprising, which goes to say how warm and friendly Lexi&Prashant are. Will definitely rebook!”

DON’T THINK. Just press the book button. 💜💜 Leaving my pets is something I genuinely dread because I worry about them so much. Finding someone I trust feels almost impossible. Then I met Nicole. From our very first meet and greet, I knew she was someone special. She has the kindest heart, the warmest smile, and a calm, caring presence that instantly put me at ease. Birds aren’t always the easiest pets to care for, but she embraced them with so much love, patience, and enthusiasm. She treated my babies like they were her own and went above and beyond in ways I never even expected, always asking if there was anything else she could do. For the first time in a very long time, I was actually able to enjoy my trip without worrying. That peace of mind is something you simply can’t put a price on. Nicole is one of those rare people you hope to find in life. The kind of person who makes the world a little brighter simply by being in it. She is genuine, compassionate, dependable, and has the biggest heart. I feel incredibly lucky that she was the one caring for my birds, and I know they’ll be just as excited to see her again as I will. If you’re looking for someone to care for your pets as if they were family, you’ve found her. Don’t think. Just press the book button. 💜

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
