Pets tend to feel more comfortable in their own surroundings. I offer in-home visits and walks. This is a great option for pets who prefer familiar scents, routines, and spaces. I maintain their usual feeding, walking, and play schedule, keep litter boxes or outdoor areas clean, and make sure they feel calm and cared for while you're away. I care for your pets as if they were my own—with patience, responsibility, and love. My goal is to give you peace of mind and give your pet a happy, safe experience. I provide structured care, positive reinforcement, and lots of affection. Whether your pet is active, shy, elderly, or has special needs, I tailor my approach to ensure they feel secure and well-loved. I typically like to have a consultation to meet the pet and owner and to ensure I can personally care for them and to understand each pets' individual needs. I do understand that in certain circumstances a consultation is not possible and I am willing to consider those jobs as well.

Information Wendy C. would like to know about your pet

Caring for special needs pets as a petsitter requires a bit more attention, patience, and understanding, but it can be incredibly rewarding. Here are some considerations and preferences to keep in mind when providing care for pets. I would need to know specific pet limitations, if any, upfront to ensure I can provide proper care. Whether it’s anxiety, medication management or physical disabilities, each comes with their own special care skills required. I would take time to learn about their specific needs and routines from their owners. Many pets thrive on routine, so I try to stick to their regular feeding, walking, and play schedules. This consistency can help them feel at ease. I can engage special needs pets in activities that cater to their abilities. For example, puzzle toys can stimulate a pet with cognitive challenges, while gentle play can be great for those with mobility issues. I always keep an open line of communication with the pet owners. Update them on their pet’s behavior, health, and any concerns that arise during my care or just a recap of the overall visit with a quick text. Overall, being a petsitter for special needs pets requires a compassionate approach and a willingness to adapt to their unique circumstances.

A typical day

A typical pet care day watching animals can be quite delightful and engaging! At the visit, I take your dog for a walk, enjoying the fresh air and observing the world around, taking our time to sniff and enjoy the time together. Back home, I feed your pets and spend some time playing with them. Cats might chase after a feather toy, while dogs enjoy a game of fetch. I can also take a moment to watch your pets interact with each other, which can be both amusing and heartwarming. I can give them some healthy treats or prepare a special meal for them. As the visit comes to a close, I can cuddle up with your pets, enjoying their warmth and companionship. Overall, watching and caring for animals is filled with love, laughter, and a deep connection with your furry friends!

My love for pets shines through in every moment I spend with them. My deep bond with animals reflects a lifetime of joy, companionship, and understanding. Whether it's the wag of a dog's tail, or the gentle purr of a cat, or a feisty jump of a puppy, or a nudge from a senior pal, I embrace the unique personality of each pet that I provide care. My care showcases my dedication and nurturing spirit, ensuring that every furry friend feels loved and cherished, just as I have experienced throughout my journey with them.

Wendy was amazing. She came to walk our little Chloe twice a day for 4 days when we were out of town. She came like clockwork. She was thorough and very caring. She took tons of pics and played with her and took excellent care. I couldn’t have asked for better. I highly recommend Wendy.

Wendy was wonderful with our 5-year-old golden and our 12-year-old golden. She was always on time, incredibly responsive, and so sweet to the girls. I would highly recommend Wendy to anyone!
