“Lorrie watched my two pups for 4 days the second week of April. It was apparent from our initial meeting in March that she really loves animals and that she knows her stuff. Lorrie indicated that her previous career was a veterinary technician for many years, which put my mind at ease. Her home is set up perfectly to attend to the needs of the dogs in her care. The home features a large, fenced in yard which allows dogs to get their outdoor time several times a day. She sent me daily text updates which included photos of my dogs. Being 600 miles away, the daily updates were very much appreciated. When I picked up my pups they were happy, healthy and they both gave her farewell kisses. Nice! I highly recommend Lorrie to anyone considering a pet sitter while you are out of town.”

(2 nights) Lucy, who weighs about 5 lbs, was just fine—she rolls with the punches. Mac, who weighs about 20 lbs, on the other hand, was more of a challenge. Michael took wonderful care of both, giving Mac the extra attention he needed. Michael handled him with patience and care. I’d trust him with them anytime! I would gladly trust them with Michael again—if he’ll have them!”

Given my cat needed oral medication, he asked for a demonstration on how to give him the medication to give him in order to ensure he got it delivered correctly. About: Hello! I worked at Dogs on The Farms Pet Hotel for almost a year and since leaving continued pet sitting and enjoying being around fur babies! I also used to volunteer at my local animal shelter as a foster parent until I failed and adopted my dog! I am currently a student and only working part time due to my schedule. I am always around and accept most dog sitting and walking gigs I get! I do not bring dogs into my own home due to my own fur baby. I have slept and transported dogs to other house and have been provided with a key. When sleeping at other houses I obey there rules and put blankets in the wash and leave the place as clean as when they left it!
About: Majority of my experience working with cats in a professional setting comes from my time working as a veterinary assistant. A previous housemate of mine had an orange cat named Daenerys who I adored and would care for and play with whenever her owner was gone for the weekend. I unfortunately did not have the pleasure of growing up with cats due to a parent's allergy, but I absolutely adore them and cannot wait to adopt my own one day!! My favorite thing about cats is how much time and patience it takes to earn their trust. I think they are wonderful at teaching people boundaries, patience, and curiosity.

About: We’ve taken care of our friend’s and roommates pets (both cats and dogs) for years before adopting our own dog, Gary, 7 years ago! I grew up with lots of animas and had loved them for as long as I can remember. I enjoy connecting and getting to know them, and I strive to make them feel comfortable, safe and relaxed in our home. I also have many years of experience babysitting and working with children, which isn’t too different in some ways. I will treat your dog as lovingly as if it were my own and will make sure to send pictures and videos so you know they are doing well. I am working full time from home, monday through friday, so your dog will not be left home alone for long periods of time. We usually go out for a long walk in the morning, a shorter walk for lunch (depending on the weather 20-30 min) and another long walk in the late afternoon, then a quick pee before bed. I would be happy to follow any rules/recommendations you may have, or answer any questions. I typically don’t let a new dog off-leash unless I am very familiar with them and the owner has explicitly requested that I do so. I am careful with other dogs, unleashed or not, that may approach and respectfully ask other owners to keep their distance if I sense that there is any stress on the part of either dog. Our apartment is child and dog proofed!

I’m trained in walking dogs on standard leashes, slip leads, harnesses, choke collar (although, not personally preferred), retractable leashes, “no pull” harnesses, muzzles, etc. Previously, I volunteered at an animal shelter for years where I was properly trained on walking different degrees of behaviorally ranked dogs. Each level requires a 10 hour orientation so as to make sure both the dog and I were safe. I still apply many of those useful techniques today. I’ve owned, worked with and volunteered with dog breeds of all sizes and all kinds of personalities for many years and across NYC. I also adore cats, fish and reptiles as well. 🐠🐢🦎 I can help with walking, feeding / administering medication or vitamins, socialization, basic training (leash training, off-leash training, crate training, positive reinforcement, sit, stay, down, paw (and “other paw”), behavioral fixes like pulling on leash, etc), daycare for short or longer stays, drop-ins and whatever else you need! We can also work out trips to the dog park, groomer, vet, etc. Importantly, I am looking into becoming a certified dog trainer in the coming year 🐕🦺 My own dog gets 4-5 walks a day with a substantial exercise session as one of them! Clients have the opportunity to set their own schedules with me. I am available early, late, weekends and holidays! Working with animals is my full time occupation at the moment. However, when I am working in my other profession (legal & tech), I work solely from home. So, I am always local. About: My home was set up for an 80lb dog with a fenced in yard and areas around the house. Should be very comfortable for any dog. I’m very attentive to the pets, making sure their needs are met and that they are safe and sound. When I take on a job, my schedule is pretty cleared out for it since I’m a retired person. About: My home was set up for an 80lb dog with a fenced in yard and areas around the house. Should be very comfortable for any dog. I’m very attentive to the pets, making sure their needs are met and that they are safe and sound. When I take on a job, my schedule is pretty cleared out for it since I’m a retired person. I can schedule my time around the care of your pet. I care for pets in my home by keeping an eye on them. Taking them out into the fenced yard and walking them twice a day. If they like to play fetch or tug I’ll do that with them too. I keep them fed, watered, exercised and rested.
“Stella and Sasha had another fabulous stay with Michael. As sad as it was for our family to not celebrate the holidays with our doggies, Michael and his wife made sure to make Stella and Sasha's Christmas and New Year's special! The girls even came home with new blankets. They love these Christmas gifts and use them everyday. We received many pictures throughout the week, which reaffirmed that the girls were happy, content and were well-taken care of. We will be rebooking Michael for our next trip.”
