“Kathy and her dog Ziggy couldn't have been more kind. Kathy takes the time to meet with you and understand your dogs needs. Kathy's proactiveness in sending updates and pictures made the boarding process that much more comfortable and we cannot thank her enough.”

“I have review Rachel a few times now and every time, she is amazing. She watched our almost 1 year old golden doodle for 6 days and nights. Babka is so happy when she is there. And so happy when she comes home. No issues whatsoever and Rachel sent pictures and videos too. Also her dog loves Babka and that makes us so happy for them both to have a friend to play with for the week. We will continue to use Rachel whenever we can.”

“I can't recommend Victoria highly enough! From the very beginning, she was reliable, communicative, and genuinely caring. It was clear that my dog was treated like family, and I received regular updates and photos that gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. She went above and beyond to make sure my dog's routine was maintained and that all of their needs were met. If you're looking for someone trustworthy, compassionate, and dependable to care for your pet, I would absolutely recommend Victoria. I'll definitely be booking with her again!”

“Erick was absolutely amazing with my two dogs! I have a fairly lazy dog, and a very high energy lab who just over a year old and she can be a handful! Erick sent me pictures and videos regularly, assuring me that my babies were fine. The resident dogs were super friendly, even snuggling with my two. When I picked them up they seemed like they had made themselves right at home. Erick is fabulous and wonderful people to work with! We will definitely be back.”

“Jamie creates a very calm and comfortable space for our shy and sometimes timid small dog (who gets excellent care, naps, walks, and attention). We're really happy we found her and even more pleased that our dog loves her time with her.”

About: My home was set up for an 80lb dog with a fenced in yard and areas around the house. Should be very comfortable for any dog. I’m very attentive to the pets, making sure their needs are met and that they are safe and sound. When I take on a job, my schedule is pretty cleared out for it since I’m a retired person. I can schedule my time around the care of your pet. I care for pets in my home by keeping an eye on them. Taking them out into the fenced yard and walking them twice a day. If they like to play fetch or tug I’ll do that with them too. I keep them fed, watered, exercised and rested.
“Thank you and your entire family once again for taking such great care of my gangsters; all the love, walks and attention they are getting while staying with you is absolutely impressive. A separate thank you for the regular updates and the peace of mind thay bring.”

“Vince is amazing. He put my mind at peace with just 1 meet & greet visit. It’s like Magik returned from Hogwarts University 🪄dog edition. Can’t wait to use Vincent’s services again.”

“Meg and her family were everything that we were looking for for our dearest Pinji! A loving family home with a fenced yard, a fellow doggie(Jameson & Pinji almost looked like twins!! 💕) their daughter Kensie who's a cutie pie and just like our home, treating Pinji as a family member and allowing her everywhere and even sleeping on her bed with her! This was above and beyond what we were looking for and we're so happy that we found them! God Bless this family forever 🙏🏻💖💞”

“Dawn took care of my puppy for a week while I was out of state. She gave me twice daily updates with tons of pictures to show all of the fun and growth. He also received a lot of very well needed supervised socialization with other dogs that Dawn cares for, as well as her own dog. Snickers came home a much more obedient and well rounded dog. I truly appreciate all of the special care and love given to Snickers. I highly recommend Dawn!”

“Lexi and Prashanth were phenomenal sitters. They treated my dog Luka with incredible care, attention, and treats. I also appreciated their flexibility with my schedule during my work trip. Luka and I will certainly use them again in the future. Thanks again, y’all!”

“Neveen is perfect sitter . She is compassionate and caring . Lucy enjoyed her stay with Neveen . I felt that Lucy was cared for at Neveen’s home exactly as I care for her . I will definitely be a repeat caller on Neveen ‘s service”

“Sydney was absolutely wonderful with Luna. She consistently sent pictures and thoughtful updates, which gave me so much peace of mind. Luna looked genuinely happy and comfortable in her care. I truly can’t recommend Sydney enough!”

About: I have taken care of dogs for most of my adult life. My wife and I have made a point to adopt large older dogs that tend to be stuck in the shelter system. All dogs are good and deserve to live a fun filled, happy, and loved life. I am also recently pet CPR and first aid certified by The American Red Cross. Im currently working part time three nights during the week so I have plenty of free time to take care of your pups. Having recently lost our beloved Mastiff, I've been craving some pup time. I have a fully fenced in yard and have plenty of room to crate your pups. We recently lost our dog so we are pet free. Being dog people, we welcome your dogs like they were our family.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lincroft
We had such a great experience with Kathy W.. She took wonderful care of our dog, Sunny. while we were away. Sunny immediately bonded with her sweet dog, Ziggy, and it was comforting to know he had a fun companion during his stay. Kathy kept us updated with photos and messages, and it was clear that Sunny was happy, relaxed, and well cared for. I'd absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a loving, responsible sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
