“Dawn was absolutely amazing with our senior pug. She truly cared for him as if he were her own.She kept us updated with videos and messages throughout his stay, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Her kindness, patience, and genuine love for animals really showed. We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter, and we highly recommend Dawn to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of our boy”

“Our dog, Riley, was so well cared for by Josh. He met us at our car for drop off and pick up bc it's tricky to get to his apartment. While Riley was there we received pictures to keep us updated. It made our evening in Philly so much better knowing she was in good hands.”

“Xavier and his family took great care of my dog Emma while we were away. You could tell she was treated well and enjoyed her time there and having a fenced in yard is perfect for any dog that likes to be outside and roam. He’s a great communicator and would definitely use him again.”

“Harley was fantastic! She totally accommodated my 10 year old Labrador, who’s not the easiest to care for. She really loved him and did her best to make him feel at home and comfortable. She was very communicative about everything and sent lots of photos. Her house was clean and large enough for a 100lb lab. Her yard is big and fenced in. We will def be rebooking her! Thanks Leny 🫶🏼”

“Radwa was the absolute best and super accommodating. We contacted Radwa because my fiance, (now wife) were getting married and our pup was the ring bearer and we needed her to pick him up from the venue after the ceremony. She was great and everything went as planned. Thank you Radwa!!!”

“Kavya watched our pup Loki for 3 days while we attended a family wedding. Loki is always with us so he is not the best at staying with new people, but when we picked him up and from the pictures and videos she sent, Loki was very happy, which meant we were very happy. Highly, highly recommended Kavya to anyone looking for a responsive and caring sitter for their fuzzy kids.”

About: My home was set up for an 80lb dog with a fenced in yard and areas around the house. Should be very comfortable for any dog. I’m very attentive to the pets, making sure their needs are met and that they are safe and sound. When I take on a job, my schedule is pretty cleared out for it since I’m a retired person. I can schedule my time around the care of your pet. I care for pets in my home by keeping an eye on them. Taking them out into the fenced yard and walking them twice a day. If they like to play fetch or tug I’ll do that with them too. I keep them fed, watered, exercised and rested.
“Rachel is amazing. She is very accommodating and she really took great care of Chloe for 2 weeks. She's a lifesaver. She got along great with George and Chloe fit right in with them. It gave me a huge piece of mind knowing how well she was cared for. I highly recommend Rachel to watch your loved one. She's great”

“Here’s a polished version of your Rover feedback: --- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lineth was amazing with my pet! She’s very caring and made sure my pet felt comfortable and happy throughout the stay. “If they had 10 stars I would give them to Meaghan. She is amazing. We left our havapoo Milo for 8 days with her. After seeing her reviews and meeting her we felt super confident and rightfully so. Milo had a great time. Her family is super dog friendly, loving, caring and genuinely want your dog to be comfortable not just watch him. The photos she sent were not just a snap shot but him doing the things he likes , like staring out a window(like he does at home) , sleeping in her husband's office while he works (like he does with me in mine), to running in the yard and playing with their dog. She gave our dog a home for 8 days not a kennel or doggie daycare(not knocking them) but this is different. I can't speak for other Rover sitters but Meaghan made a customer for as long as she wants to do this. Great person, great family, great dog sitters.. Thanks Meaghan for everything.”

“Jamie , had been amazing with our dog-Honey. She sends regular updates , is very communicative and offers her care and warmth. We have been using her services since last year, and Honey enjoys his stay and is comfortable here. We highly recommend Jamie for dog sitting services.”

“Jamie took very good care of my senior dog Teddy in her lovely home. Teddy being older cries and whines looking for his meals or just being unhappy away from his familiar home. Jamie made extra effort to keep him comfortable and kept in touch with me through texts and photos. Than you!!”

About: I've cared for dogs almost all of my life. As a latchkey kid, my first job was to care for my two sweet dogs when I got home. I'm skilled in caring for senior dogs who need extra patience and love. ❤️ I'm available in the mornings to early afternoons. I work part-time in the evenings most nights. I am as flexible as my job schedule allows me to be! Sending photo and video updates are my favorite, so you can always see your pets! I currently live in a pet free household with a fenced in yard. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Holmdel
Great experience boarding with Karolina. Miles received such a loving care, new friend in Milo to play with. Karolina was fast to respond and very flexible and accomodating with drop-off and pick-up. Received frequent updates and pictures. Fenced-in yard was a plus in this brutal cold weather. Very thankful to Karolina and her lovely family and definitely will consider in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
